  1. As previously stated this guy deserves a Darwin Award. I feel horrible for his family but the dude was clearly a selfish idiot. He ruined more than just a day for many people, of that I am sure.
  2. Great book and great film...but not something a family friendly park should/would reference. I would be all for making the haunts more intense and mature and putting an official age restriction on entrance during haunt hours, but I do not see that ever happening as it would cut profits. It would be much more enjoyable without little kids yelling at the actors and screaming at guests to try to act tough though...
  3. Today on Diamondback someone in the front of the car lost their hat and the man in front of me caught it just as the camera snapped. It was an awesome pic, but I am glad the bill did not smack anybody!
  4. I would definitely plan a trip to that park!
  5. It may be disgusting to YOU, but I rather enjoy it as do millions of others. Some beer is super gross. Some is very good. Same can be said for bourbon. This all subjective though. I plan on having tons of fun at this event! Edit: I do not plan on chugging anything, however. Sure I think drinking a beer around kids is fine but I would feel guilty being sloppy around families. People (including me) tend to lose a filter when drunk and let words slip without thinking of who all will hear it.
  6. I can see limiting one beer per customer each order though so people are not downing 3 in line.
  7. I can understand the smoking. Drinking a beer? I do not understand the disrespect there at all. It does not matter where the alcohol is consumed the effects are the same, and if the sight of a beer offends parents they must be extremely limited in where they can take their children....but alas I seem to be in the minority in this thinking so I will let it die.
  8. Yea I tend to just take the beer in line with me. There are trash cans in most of the lines and if not I carry it with me til I find one. That is a dumb rule in my opinion. Would you rather the guest chug their beer before getting in line, thus achieving a much higher BAC?
  9. I will be at this as well. It is cool to see KI reach yet another niche. I can not wait to try KI's beers either. They are available at the park now, correct?
  10. Mine as well lol. I have to find it online now.
  11. I was very nervous when I rode my first big ride (Son of Beast) but it debuted the season I was finally 48 inches tall and I braved a 2.5 hour wait to ride it with my dad and cousins. I almost cried towards the top of the hill, but as soon as I had survived the first drop I fell in love with the stomach in your throat feeling. I rode everything I was tall enough for that day (still very timidly) and have not feared a ride since.....well TTD had me nervous first ride. It certainly helped me get over my fear knowing I be relentlessly made fun if by my brothers and cousins but when your first ride is the biggest one in the park you know you can handle the rest. Drop Tower REALLY freaked me out though even after a few rides on it.
  12. That's pretty cool news actually. I will check them out.
  13. Was it designed to keep you safe? I have my suspicions it was not but that is a another off topic debate I will avoid. I am just super excited to be at KI Saturday and I plan on getting up in time to not have to speed. This will be my first ERT and I can't wait (but I have to...).
  14. I like your thinking BB1
  15. You have a lot more control over the car and by thinking about it while you are driving I would think you would pay more attention but who knows? I am sure there is se lind of study showing it as either safer or more dangerous but I do not really care enough to look lol. Anywho sorry for going so off topic! Edit: the control issue mostly involves times when the roads may be wet or snowy or something to that effect where you know better than the car what gear is better. You can also push a manual to jumpstart it without cables! But in all reality it comes down to nothing more than preference when choosing between the two. There really is no wromg answer.
  16. I do not see my self ever buying an automatic. Maybe if I got an SUV or something. Manual is just so much more fun to me.
  17. . Wow! That is a difficult drive in reverse! Takes me long enough going forward! ; )
  18. I think I underestimated this coaster. I LOVE Millenium Force and this layout looks much more interesting and fun. I may actually get my money's worth with the Platinum Pass this when I visit the area in September!
  19. That is likely due in large part to the park listening to what vocal customers want. It was a cheap addition that many of us have longed for since the originals were take. Away from us. It was brilliant after the large addition last year.
  20. Oh that sucks. Greg said all the right things iny eyes. He discussed moving away micromanaging kn Cedar Fair and talked about the tough Son of Beast times. I did not realize he wqs so new to the position when that decision was being made.
  21. I miss backwards but it is not a big deal. If that is the reason they did it it is a good reason.
  22. Greg Scheid did a very cool interview in the Springfield News-Sun. I am on mobile or I would link but I am sure it is online.
  23. This is definitely the new ride I want to ride the most.
  24. I would say theme, followed by positive gs for me. It is quite subjective when it comes to the actual ride itself, but nobody I know would complain of nice theming around it.
