  4. So do they dig up the parade route as it gets marked in white This is a pk nail survey marker...
  5. Not close to Vortex but a survey marker in Coney Mall by arcade across from Skyline.
  6. That is an awesome return of a previous event!
  7. Synergies of the merger baby I cannot believe it is a lottery for a small piece of fudge. I can't see someone saying "hey lets go to KI to get entered into the small fudge lottery" LOL. Make it an experience that isn't currently offered or something that costs a lot, but really wouldn't be to the park. A free cabana at Soak City or Igloo at Winterfest come to mind. Or an experience like you and 9 friends get to watch the fireworks from the I-street restaurant with cookies and ice cream. Or a sunrise tour climbing Orion lift hill.
  8. They sure did put on the show, even the drones. 15 minute show.
  9. I thought all these ads paid for the attraction
  10. Saving money post merger by reducing $20 per domain name removed
  11. KIC boat cruise, sponsored by Bass Pro Shops
  12. Same with a fireworks ride on WindSeeker! Those were incredible.
  13. It has been that way since the 50th because of the laser show shooting beams at the Tower that could blind people or seriously hurt their eyes. And Shake, Rattle, & Roll and WindSeeker has shut down around same time as well for the drones.
  14. Trade you my mail order bride and wedding dress
  15. You said there was barely a mention outside of park social media about the events and I simply pointed out that isn't the case. I am not referring to quality of content, but it was being talked about on hundreds of sites. I saw about the wine festival in Reach magazine, emails from the park, Tower Topics, KIC forum, daily on the season pass facebook site that has what over 70,000 members on it (that is the probably the best way to get word out and attendance and even the last week people on their were saying they didnt know about it), KI socials, and other sites. What is your solution - maybe have Chad knock on doors everyday reminding people of it and Mike calling people everyday reminding them of the events? Should the phone calls be personal, actual calls, or the recorded message like I get from the presidential candidates? Tony being a Uber service bringing people to the park? Even if they did the events Ryan talked about, people would still not know it is going on. You cannot reach 100%. Having it run on ads in France wouldn't have ticked the attendance meter nor helped the bored Cincinnati region you mention.. If someone is bored and looking for things to do, most would type in Google "what's going on this weekend in Cincinnati" to find out what's going on. An ad that ran on Monday is long forgotten. And if those that run in the wine and cheese circle were only interested in those types of events, well they would be the ones doing searches for wine festivals in cincinnati. Even when people get emails and information overload, they still don't know about it. The park could certify letter it to people and they would ignore it or forget about it by the time the event happens. Just look at Facebook at all the daily questions asked that those people were clearly provided the information and either ignored it or forgot. As an example, how many times do we see "what time are the fireworks?" How long has KI been doing fireworks...
  16. Regarding the Food & Wine festival, just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it wasnt covered. The local channels did a little write up as well. And a simple Google search of ("wine and food" "Kings Island") brings up dozens, if not hundreds of sites and videos and mentions from other media outlets, influencers, and vloggers and bloggers. Same thing if you search ("gazillion bubbles" "Kings Island")... https://local12.com/news/local/kings-island-officially-announces-camp-snoopy-opening-date-new-summer-festival-food-wine-fest-events-celebrations-roller-coaster-snoopy-soap-box-racer-memorial-day-weekend-peanuts-gang-beagle-scout-acres-soak-city-water-park-Diamondback-the-beast-games https://www.wcpo.com/entertainment/kings-island-announces-opening-date-for-camp-snoopy-snoopys-soap-box-racers https://www.wlwt.com/article/opening-date-kings-island-new-roller-coaster-camp-snoopy/60792172 https://local12.com/news/local/kings-island-officially-announces-camp-snoopy-opening-date-new-summer-festival-food-wine-fest-events-celebrations-roller-coaster-snoopy-soap-box-racer-memorial-day-weekend-peanuts-gang-beagle-scout-acres-soak-city-water-park-Diamondback-the-beast-games
  17. Same reason it is always Top Gun and Face-Off to some..
  18. Isn't that the truth! I am amazed at the questions posted on social media. Probably one of the reasons why over half of the FAQ questions center around "your CF pass is not valid at SIX and vice versa" LOL.
  19. ^There are 14 FAQ and 8 of them relate to passes from one chain are not valid at another chain. Somehow that still won't be clear enough for people and social media sites will be taken over with questions asking if passes are valid at all parks now lol.
  20. ^they only use weather as an excuse for lower than expected attendance LOL. They will pat themselves on the back that the large attendance today is merger related and proof this is what the consumer wanted But yeah we know it is weather related and the reason for Saturday sized crowds.
  21. Lines are crazy long. Wow the merger is helping attendance already
  22. I think the opposite and they will be branded with SixFlags naming within 3 years. There is a reason they decided to go with Six Flags over Cedar Fair for merger name. As you pointed out, Six Flags naming is brand recognition and they will want to capitalize on it.
  23. SIX budget cuts starting early
  24. Mainly just the rides without power. Music still blaring and passes work to scan in. But some of that tweet stuff may be set to auto go out.
