  1. Probably The Bat, only because I only rode it 5 times last season.
  2. Yep, I'm one of the guys in the yellow (the shortest of the two guys with hats). My main scenes are near The Beast, near Breaker's Bay, and of course, the grand finale. As I've said before, it was a blast to make!
  3. You know it's the offseason when you are watching coaster POV's on Youtube, hoping the coaster season will start soon. 23 more days!
  4. Based on those pictures on the last page (the post with the comments about park entrances), I'm getting pumped to ride Fury 325 this summer!
  5. Good stuff so far; I'm especially looking forward to hearing about Six Flags Fiesta Texas as I really want to go there someday!
  6. silver2005, I just answered your question via PM. -MDMC01
  7. Carowinds' new entrance reminds me a bit of Cedar Point's entrance; I think everything's gonna look really cool when it's done!
  8. You know it; I saw Big last night (well technically Thursday night since it's past midnight lol) and it was amazing!!!!!!!

I do think the color schemes of a coaster matter as they get a chance to make a first impression to a potential rider. Color schemes I enjoy are/were Stealth (previously at California's Great America), Nighthawk (same ride, but now at Carowinds, with that yellow color scheme), any of Ricochet' (Carowinds) s color schemes except the current one, Rugrat's Runaway Reptar (all former Paramount Parks that had this ride), Colossus for Thorpe Park, both of the Invertigo (Great America and Kings Island's)s original color schemes and probably many others that I can't think of at the moment. And yes, I do like Scream's old color scheme better, although I was at first impressed with the new color scheme. Afterburn's paint job is also cool as is Millennium Force's. EDIT: I also like the paint job of the 3 Deja Vu coasters.
  10. ... when you sit in a chair on your back patio pretending you are on Slingshot as the chair pivots backwards and forwards just like the ride does.
  11. Be careful, upstop! That reminds me, when I was younger, there was this road that reminded me a lot of Adventure Express as it turned right and then swooped to the left. Unfortunately, I think this road no longer exists.
  12. Dude, you made Screamscape! http://www.screamscape.com/html/industry_news.htm#Internet
  13. (in reference to the picture of the torn-up Tower Gardens) This makes me really happy that something appears to be going on in this area; things could get pretty interesting... -MDMC, who once thought a water coaster would work great in this area
  14. That Green Lantern video reminds me of those suspended coasters that were loaded with water that passengers could spray those on the ground with as people walked by (examples: Nickelodeon Super Saturator, Roller Soaker).
  15. Not a problem! AE is one of my faves at night; especially when most of the tunnels go dark! EDIT: Plus, seeing Banshee's lights during the ride has added a cool effect to AE's night ride experience!
  16. For me, I'd like to go to Kentucky Kingdom to ride T3 and pick up some flats that I missed last time (specifically Breakdance and Tin Lizzies) plus ride Cylos and maybe the rapids ride. The Edge of the Millennium Tour is planned for sometime in June, but details have yet to be completely worked out. In addition to picking up some much desired coaster credits (Fury 325, Nighthawk, and Dominator), I would be very much interested in riding Volcano or Verbolten at night, which I think would be really cool.
  17. What's weird is that the opposite has happened for me with Flight of Fear (I should note that I've only ridden under the ride's current name and with lap-bar restraints). When I was younger, I loved it, but now it just feels rough (still a fun ride though... sometimes...).
  18. That is a great picture, IamaBanshee; and I thank you for doing this countdown!
  19. I voted "Other" because all these elements make for a great coaster. Yes, Maverick is my favorite because it yanks you down the drops and around the turns with blazing speed, but I think theming also has to count for something too. Mystery Mine may not be the tallest and fastest, but that second drop with the really gives it a nice touch. There are also other factors others than those listed, such as nostalgia, which is pretty important to me (which explains why Adventure Express, The Bat, and Vortex are my most ridden KI coasters and also why I love Firehawk so much!) and location. Location explains why Gatekeeper is so visually appealing and why The Beast is so great at night! So yeah, I hope that explains it well enough! EDITed to add blurb about location.
  20. I voted for Intamin because my favorite coaster (Maverick) is an Intamin, but honestly, both companies have really good rides. On Intamin's side, we have Drop Tower, Millennium Force, Volcano, Disaster Transport and, as I mentioned previously, Maverick. On team B&M, we have Banshee, Batman (SFGAM), and the Incredible Hulk, plus Kumba looks cool and though I've not yet ridden one (that will hopefully change this summer...) floorless coasters have always seemed cool to me. So, in the end, I guess it doesn't really matter to me as there are good rides that have been made by either manufacturer.
  21. I never stayed at the KI resort, but I did go there once for a 2-day church retreat in 5th/6th grade. I think I won a CD or something. Anyway, the thing I'll most remember is seeing the buses come to KI from the resort.
  22. I voted BGW/KD because those are the first two (of three) stops on my Edge of the Millennium Tour this year. Also, although I hear that NJFTP is awesome (and looks cool on Roller Coaster Tycoon 2), the biggest pulls for me to go there would really only be Nitro (since it's a retro B&M hyper) and Batman (because the one at SFGAM was awesome). Also, Hershey has Lightning Racers and Storm Runner, so those would really be my pulls for me to go there. The choice is ultimately up to you, and whatever you choose, you have to be happy with your decision. Hope this helps.
  23. If I left Ohio, I'd miss being near my hometown of Blue Ash, Kings Island, and Maverick! Oh, and #13 FTW (for the win); from Maverick to Banshee to Millennium Force to The Beast, we've got some of the best!
  24. Haven't seen the movie; but from the video, that Avatar area looks like it'll be really cool!
  25. Wow, thanks! I was just thinking "it would be cool if there was an Action Zone time-lapse" after seeing that Rivertown gif, and then I scrolled down and there it is!
