Lines are long for Sundays. Lots of after prom and school groups. Figure 45 for the bigger stuff.
  2. The AP is right above where the que turns left before the walk to the stairs. You were behind it.
  3. Same here but for The Bat. Speeds are decent too!

    DT is running.

Just got off Flight of Fear and noticed they were running full trains and for the first time ever, I had no idea which way was up or down. It was totally disorienting. Probably the best ride I have ever had on it.
  6. Apparently not. Still have it in the Platinums though. A call to the park would confirm what is being seen (or not) on the web.
  7. Stop by guest services in the park. They will print you a new one on the spot. No charge. Been there, done that. Got the card to prove it!
  8. Diamondback+rain+darkness.... One helluva great ride!

My family and I will be there Sunday. You can have my ride on it. For me, its not worth the wait.
  10. Its not. Its weak in the que and gone once you exit the area.
  11. They will be back in town in less than two months but more than likely, it means nothing.
  12. Tried that at Carowinds and it was still $14.99. Only way to get it cheaper was online.
  13. The digital map/kiosks haven't been updated. Space Buggies and Gliders aren't on it.
  14. I was on the second to last train before they closed it. They stopped us at the crest of the second lift hill for a fe minutes. Girls were behind me freaking out because they could "smell smoke". Just chuckled to myself. Its pretty serine out in the middle of the woods.
  15. Wife had a fire at her spa and I had the day off friday so a last minute decision to attend the preview night was made. 7 hours of driving and an hour of traffic in Charlotte, two and a half hours wating in cold drizzle was worth it! Fury is a great coaster as expected. The laterals were unexpected and enjoyable. The drop just keeps going and the airtime in the second half are a welcome addition. The lift hill was much faster than I expected. The only thing that I miss from Millie are the trees and tunnels. They give it a different "feel" than you get from Fury. Went back Saturday morning to ride and waited 3 hours. Granted most of that time was waiting fo it to be warm enough to run the coaster. The comments from people in line are almost worth the wait alone. BTW, the only reason they have lockers is to pay for the coaster.... Back again this weekend with a stop at Kings Dominion on the way.
  16. I had the same issue. Tried all 6 of my Families passes. Same result each time. I tried again a few days later and it took mine the first time. Try it again and see what happens. So far, it's the same perks that were sent out awhile ago.
  17. Only Intamin for me so far as well. Millie is great. One of my top coasters. I305 on the other hand, of all the times I have ridden it, I can't remember half of it because I was still recovering from the bottom of the first hill. Looking forward to ridding my first B&M Giga this spring. Followed shortly by Leviathan on our Summer coaster tour.
  18. You have to remember about reviews. Most people who experience something and enjoy it , go on with their lives afterwards. It's only those that have a bad experience or are disgruntled against something that post negative reviews as they feel it helps them get back at the place of experience. It's the same with practically every type of review. Just like accepting bids for services, throw out the highs and the lows and pick one in the middle.
  19. And for those wondering about opening day: Carowinds Amusement Park Thanks for the questions! While we haven't released our 2015 operating calendar yet, I can tell you that opening day 2015 will be Saturday, March 28. Hope to see you then! Like · 5 · November 13 at 8:19pm And as of right now, I don't have to work! Road trip! Whose with me? (Obviously via Carowinds Facebook page.)
  20. "TECHNICAL POSITIONS" -- Lighting, Costumes, Sound, Video and Backstage Technicians. If I didn't do this full time already, (and require a living wage) I would apply. They need some serious help in this department. Almost every time I walk past an audio console, the clip lights are lit up like Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular. (when it first opened and worked) and it sounds as expected from it. Red is bad, Mmmkay.
  21. Video still plays. It has been formatted a bit different to fit on new HD displays but it is still practically the same. Don't recall when they dropped the bit about people being in the hanger and cutting away to a live view of a camera mounted inside.
  22. Cedar Points seems to run faster. Not so much the back and forth but the spinning. Granted it had been awhile since we had ridden Surf Dog so it might just be our memory.
  23. DEFINATELY worth it. Choices could have been better but for the price, its a steal. An even better steal for next year is the addition if the chain wide plan for Platinum passes. Its going to be a great summer next year!
  24. Glad to see the addition of a petting zoo. My younger kids love the one at CP. It always has a decent crowd and finally, I won't have to fight with the kids that always want to go through Snoopy's Splash Dance when they aren't dresses for water play but now I kinda feel bad for not letting them since they no longer will have the chance.
  25. Because it's faster.
