Planet Snoopy (bringing your children?) in 2010.
We'll be there next year. The girls will miss their favorite characters, but they'll adapt. As for the Haunt, my girls will not go when we go next month. They were spooked just walking by the hearse in the park this summer, I couldn't even imagine taking them to something like that...

Gay Pride 2009 Info About KI!
So, is there a place for donations to the cause if one can't make it to the park that day? We have to plan our trips to KI very carefully due to work, school and distance...so I know there is no way we could make it next week.

Random Question
I don't recall it ever having 2 trains either. That's my only complaint with the ride, it seems like it takes forever to get seated Maybe it's just a mental thing knowing only 1 train is there, and you have to wait..and wait...and wait... I love the crew there. Every time we ride, they do park trivia with the guests. My girls have learned a lot about the park from them

Nick-U becomes Planet Snoopy in 2010?
I have 3 little girls, all under the age of 8. I understand completely why people are upset. Our trips to Kings Island this year were not trumped up by shouts of "RIDES! RIDES!" it was "I wonder if we get to meet Spongebob? I wonder if we get to meet Dora?" And the statues there are just as popular as the characters. Sit on the benches near Reptar and you'll see what I mean. Young and old alike flock to the Patrick statue to take a picture. Heck, even I did, and I'm 30 years old. Young kids pay very close attention to their surroundings. And as far as Nick being a bunch of boring educational crap, you couldn't be further from the truth. Sure Dora and Blue teach young kids things, but Spongebob is all about entertainment. I started watching him before I even had kids. Same for Hey Arnold. I was like a little kid when Arnold popped out during our last visit. It's all good lighthearted fun. Going into that section makes me feel like a kid again. And I've created a lot of memories there with my own children. Imagine sitting in Nick U with your child, having a blue icecream..when all of the sudden Patrick Starfish walks up. My daughter almost dropped her icecream. THOSE are memories I'll cherish forever. Not how many rides we got in on Fairly Oddcoaster...

Nick-U becomes Planet Snoopy in 2010?
If they change the area to Looney Tunes, Hannah Barbera, anything that is on tv constantly, I wouldn't have an issue with it. My kids would be familiar with the characters and enjoy being around them. Truth of the matter is, Peanuts do not get airtime but 3 times a year. A night in October, a night in November and a night in December. Usually all on CBS. We do not get local channels, and haven't since 1998 or so, so my kids have never watched a single episode of Peanuts. We went to Cedar Point a few years ago. We went to the Camp Snoopy area. My kids were frightened by Lucy, Charlie Brown and what's the blonde's name?? Anywho, they ran in the other direction. Sorta like me back when KI had Klingons lol.......anyways... I just hope it's something every kid will be somewhat familiar with. I'm glad I took this picture. I've always liked it...it's as if Spongebob is saying "I'm king of the park!" ..or something

Favorite pics You've taken at KI
On the Scrambler..my daughter and I noticed this. I had my camera and snapped a pic before the ride began. At the time, we thought it was hilarious My daughter said "Ohh look. He lost his pants on the ride, and now he's sad. And censored." lol

Nick-U becomes Planet Snoopy in 2010?
I don't think this is a good idea. My girls LOVE going to KI due to Nick U. I told them our last visit that it might be going away..to enjoy. They asked what would go there, I told them Peanuts stuff...they had NO idea what I was talking about. They aren't familiar with Charlie Brown, Snoopy or any of the crew...I suspect this would be the case with most kids. It was very special to watch my youngest light up this year when she met Spongebob, Patrick, Dora, etc... Oh well

When riding Invertigo...
I love Invertigo. We always ride the front/back Actually, we always ride the main front first. I like the feeling of pressure against the restraints. The entire time you are hoping you have been strapped in good lol. But, it's a "i'll-ride-this-once-a-day-and-that-is-it" ride. The same goes for Firehawk. Last time I was on Firehawk, I had a headache that lasted several days later. Rides that cause a lot of pressure in my head just don't agree with me. Like I said, I can ride once a day or once a visit, but that's it. Any more than that, and I very well may be tempting the emesis gods

Action Zone
The water tower and I have a rocky relationship On one hand, it's a great meet up place when others in my party wish to ride different rides in that area. On the other hand....well...I walked right into the leg of it during my last trip. I had my head turned, talking to my husband about something. Man, I was going into great detail. I even had hand motions going. When all of the sudden... *BOP* Right smack into it. It startled me at first, not realizing what I had hit head on. My kids cracked up. My husband just stood there with this ' I can't believe you are that clumsy' look on his face. I wasn't hurt, but for the rest of the trip, they aggravated me about it. And still do. "Hey Mom, remember when you walked into that pole?" hah.

Throwing items from the Eifel Tower
They are very serious about dropping objects. It is a huge liability to the park, and against state law. That is why a cop showed up. More than likely, age was a factor in the action taken. They are so serious about objects on the tower, they wouldn't let my husband take up the large souvenir cup we had. So, we haven't been on the tower but once this year. We've had cups stolen and don't want to lose anymore. But I understand the policy. Shoot on Drop Tower, I was wearing strapped sandals, which honestly don't come off unless I unstrap them, but I felt uneasy about the trip down and took them off. Seemed to take the ride op by surprise. We also had to do the hands up, palms open routine.

AAUgH! I hate Weather! T_T
Personally, I like a quick downpour when I'm at the park. It helps clear out people, which means more ride time for me and my family And no, you are never too old to ride. I turn 31 soon, and show no signs of stopping. My very first ride on DB in May, there was a guy there in his 70's riding it. My husband and I joke that when we get old, we'll be placing our false teeth and hearing aides in the bins before we board our ride lol

Tennis inside the Fountains, Anyone?
Um...wow. I honestly have no words.

Tennis inside the Fountains, Anyone?
DETAILS ON "THE MATCH" AT Kings Island: * Both players will be on a specially-made court inside the Royal Fountains * Best view is probably from the top of International Street near the main gate * Show starts at 4:00pm and will last approximately 20 minutes * Guests will have the opportunity to win tickets to the WTA Tour following the match Well, if anyone here goes, post pics. I'm interested in seeing that setup.

Is parking still $10?
That explains why we never could ride the shuttle when we stayed at the resort. We were there for 3 days a few years back, and the shuttle was always crowded and we had to drive. We couldn't even catch a ride back to the hotel for a mid afternoon meal.

Tennis inside the Fountains, Anyone?
I would think the fountains would have too many obstacles in the way? Although that would be neat to watch from the tower.

New Flat Rides
Personally, I find spit worse than any other body fluid. I don't know why. I was spit (spat?) on while riding Invertigo. When I got off, there was a big loogey on my arm. I almost puked. I can stomach anything but spit. It's a nasty habit some people have.
