  1. It's on again at 8 pm tomorrow. If you can't make it then, record it. If all else fails, YouTube it! Yeah, I'll be in class again...If I don't forget, I'll tell my Mom to DVR it.
  2. Unfortunately, my kids missed it this year. I was in class until 10pm
  3. I noticed that as well. Caught me completely off guard. We were near the DB entrance, so I got a few good (well, considering the fog..) pictures.
  4. A big hearty thank you for making our five hour journeys well worth it Hope to see you guys and gals next year.

It was so dark, I couldn't identify anyone. I made sure to have my flash off (the fog messes with flash anyways) but I was just past the Urgent Scare sign. I was taking pics of the bodies and wheelchairs (and buggies). I wasn't taking pictures at the time I was told to put the camera away. It was around my neck (it's a big Nikon D40) and was just hanging there...but she told me to put it away. I wasn't going to take any pics once stepping into the building. I just wanted one of the dummy hanging lol. No biggie, but I felt sort of bad..I know you all have long nights ahead and didn't want to cause a problem. (OH..I just remembered..she had a stick..if that helps lol. She was going through the line trying to scare people.) BTW, you guys managed to spook my friend during decontamination LOL...he was so paranoid all night long. When we'd walk through the park, he'd turn circles walking, to make sure no one would get him hah....

Absolutely. I don't care at all if you send it his way. Be sure to tell him he made my night

Thanks everyone Like I told my husband, I think I enjoyed standing there watching the monsters scare everyone more than anything. We are already planning our trips next year hehe
  8. After going through Trail of Terror, I had a thought...One of the mazes needs to have a long stretch of absolutely nothing right in the midst of the trail.. Just enough light to see, that's it. No scares, no noises. Just empty forest. Think about it. You go in and get spooked by the actors, noises..then suddenly it's quiet. Too quiet. You anticipate something happening at any moment. Your imagination runs wild and you are tortured mentally thinking "when will something happen?". Sometimes nothing at all is scarier, know what I mean?

Shake, Rattle & Roll: I'm telling you the fog was so thick, you couldn't see the ground below you. I loved it. Absolutely loved it. We walked back around to get another ride on The Beast. We found this lurking in the shadows: He managed to spook my friend After that, walked over to The Beast, and found out the wait would be a little over 2 hours. No thanks. The line for Tombstone Terrortory stretched all the way back to The Beast line, so we decided to skip that one. We walked over to Carnevil, and it was out into I-Street, back to LaRosa's. No thanks. So, we walked down to Urgent Scare. The line was out to the Monster, but we waited anyways. The line seemed to move quickly. I think we waited around an hour. We made our way under the sign and into the area where you could see shopping carts, bodies and such. I took two pics (without flash) and was asked to put away my camera. I wanted to get one of the guy hanging from the rafters, and the ambulance up close, but I was asked way back in line to put it away. Wasn't the only one, everyone was asked to put away cell phones and cameras. I felt bad about it, I thought I could take pictures up until we entered. Sorry people! Urgent Scare was awesome. I had a great time in there. The only part I did not like....decontamination. Brrrrr. My friend's wife arrived after we made our way through Urgent Scare, so we walked back up to the entrance and found this was uncovered, finally Watch him flop! I was freezing, so I stood in line for Starbucks for a little over an hour. Yes, that was dumb, but I wanted a cup of coffee! lol, afterwards, we all sat at a table and had some pizza. The fountains looked spooky, so I snapped a pic We decided to give Corn Stalkers a try, but waited a total of 2 minutes before hearing a bunch of complaints about how bad it was. We walked over to Trail of Terror. The line was fairly long, but we waited it out. 30 minutes later, we were in. I LOVED ToT. I think it spooked me more because I've dreamed of some of the things contained in it. Nothing like walking through a living nightmare lol. I loved the view of Firehawk from there, but couldn't take a picture due to my camera being in a locker. Oh well. It was midnight and my husband had enough. His legs were killing him, so he went out to the parking lot and left me to do whatever until closing. I decided to visit Club Blood. Glad I did, I loved it as well. I did get spooked quite a few times in there. Our friends were still in the park, so we went over to Invertigo to get in a ride. Our wait was around 5 minutes. It was awesome riding it in the dark/fog. I had a moment of thought going up the first lift. It was 12:30am, 40 degrees outside, I was wearing gloves, a toboggan, hoodie, windbreaker and scarf...and was sitting on a rollercoaster LOL...Something just isn't right about that, but hey, I love it. The woman in front of me agreed we must be a tad crazy, but we also agreed that we were in good company hehhee From there, I made one final lap on Diamondback. It was my first nighttime ride on it, and it was spectacular...but very very cold. When we came back to the station, I could not feel my face. Or my hands. Or legs. Brrrrrrrrrr. By that time, it was 1am. The park was closing, so I made my way out. I hated to leave, but I was so sore from shivering and walking all day. It was a great trip. Probably the best trip to KI I've ever had. I do like the atmosphere of the park in the fall. It's much better than sweating yourself silly. I can't wait until Oct 2010!

.... ....Ladies and gentlemen, you can not escape! (I LOVE this picture!! Thank you costumed dude, you made my night!) This picture, I snapped since they were putting out decorations, but it looks like she's throwing him over lol "Say cheese! Now get outta here!" This annoyed me. I kept trying to get a picture of this, but people kept going behind the chain rope and goofing around with the props. ..........
  11. Might as well jump on board and do this... We arrived at KI around 9:40am. The gates were closed. We were 4 cars back, waiting..waiting..waiting...9:55am, gates are still closed. My husband says "I thought we got in ERT at 10??" I agreed..at 10am, the gates finally open and we made our way to preferred parking. We parked in the second spot Got up to the security booths and once again, we had to wait. 10:10am, we were finally allowed to enter the park. We got in, bought a locker..put our stuff in, then flashed our passes and made our way to Diamondback. By the time we get there, it's 10:15am. We took our seats and prepared to marathon a bit. First ride of the day is always the best. But let me tell you, it was COLD! After the second dip, there were people behind us saying "I can't feel my hands!" lol. I'm sure they'd agree, it was well worth it. We arrive back at the station, and no one is in our area..so we stayed in our seats. Fast forward 5 more rides. I had my husband look around while we were riding (as I had been doing the entire time, taking the park in ) and he ended up feeling queasy. So, he bailed to get some meds. I stayed in my seat. OH yes, I also met RWildman424 I think I was on ride #4 when I introduced myself. Got in 3 more, then the park opened. It was PACKED within minutes, so I got off. Met up with my husband and our friend, Josh. We decided to go over to Beast and get a ride in. We walked right on and got in the second seat, our friend took the back. Our ride was slow. Very slow. Seemed like we braked a lot more than last time I was on (in July). I guess morning rides are way slower than night? Anyways, it was still a great ride. We made our way from there to check out the line for Vortex. It was around 11:20am. The line to Vortex was out to the diner, so we passed. Made our way down the midway and bought tickets for slingshot. $5, how can you pass that up? The line was out to the ticket booth, so we decided to come back later in the day to ride. While down there, we walked over to Invertigo. There was a 45 minute wait, so we passed. (yes, we are impatient!) We walked over to Top G- er...Flight Deck. It was a walk on. We sat in the main back and had a great ride. We wanted to ride Drop Tower, but it was closed. We were starting to get hungry, and UK was playing..so we went into the bar and grabbed some food. The BBQ pork french fries were yummy! Bartenders were super nice and made sure we were well taken care of. We finished up eating and I had to pry my hubby away from the game lol. At that time, we were beating SC, in the 2nd half. We made our way from the bar and walked around to let our food digest. We walked around to Nick U, so I could get some final pictures and check out decorations. I'll spare you all from looking at the ride pics, but some of the displays we noticed were.....uh...yeah LOL Maybe, just maybe I have a perverted mind..but I found this hilarious: (see, even the woman in the background laughed at it) We walked over to ET, I wanted to get some more pics...but found this instead: Disappointing, but oh well. Then we made our way back around Delirium and checked out the alien displays. Yet another thing that caught my attention and made me giggle: (forgive my immaturity) We then got in line for Delirium. Took a nice cold ride on it (after a 25 minute wait) and walked around to KI Theater. Stumbled upon this display, and I had to look at it for a moment to understand. Then I got it..Kudos It's hilarious Found this uncovered: Sweet! My friend found himself a girlfriend hahahahah We walked back around and decided to check out the line for Slingshot. It was halfway inside the gate, so we decided to give it a try. After 1 hour, we were finally seated. This is my friend Josh and I: It was his first Slingshot ride, he really enjoyed it. We flipped quite a bit, and ended up facing downwards on a bounce down. That was pretty cool. From there, we went back to Diamondback, and I got in a few more rides. We had to wait 45 minutes each time. We then walked over to Flight of Fear. Walked in, was ready to board and the ride shut down. So, we made our way out and over to Firehawk. I think we waited a total of 5 minutes, then boarded. It was a great ride. We gave Flight of Fear another try, and this time we got a ride it. Seemed faster than usual, and gave the three of us a great ride. From there, we decided to go up front. It was almost Haunt time. The fog machines were getting ready to be turned on, and I was like a little kid. I was so excited. We sat on a bench and I looked behind me. How on earth could I pass up getting these pictures? Then the fog began. 7pm had finally arrived! ..............
  12. I knew you were in there, but couldn't figure out where you were..since I had no clue what you look like lol...but you guys did a great job in there. Even got me at the very beginning.

If this isn't the right board area for this, I apologize..but I just wanted to send a special thank you out to all of the scare actors and monsters out and about. You guys are awesome. I know you were all busy, but you took time out to let me take your picture, and I got some REALLY good pics! You all had my 28 year old guy friend on edge the entire night, and it was hilarious . He said "here I am, a 5'8 stalky built guy..and you are this 4' 11 itty bitty woman..I was terrified, and you were posing and snapping pics of them Anyways, I just wanted to give credit where credit is due (and don't feel left out, ride ops..you all rock my socks as well) Without further adieu, here are a few of my favs from tonight: (i love this pic of my husband...spooky background!) I didn't get any of one guy dressed all in red (for whatever reason? Boo me ) who kept asking "Are you still here, haven't we scared you?!" hehhehhe..but yeah you rock too. Gah, I can't seem to describe this one....but he looked dang cool.. Anyways, hope you enjoy my pics
  14. Which one were you in? Someone was in my face snarling on Trail of Terror. Never mind lol I see you were in Urgent Scare....what part? I was at the end of a group...with 2 guys. I came through in this garb:
  15. I heard Slaughterhouse was supposed to be good. As for bad ones, Tombstone Terrortory is supposedly not very good other than the fact you get to ride the train to it, and you'd probably see me working the train I highly recommend Trail of Terror and Club Blood. Urgent Scare was good too...they got me a few times in there Club Blood got me several times..I actually come out of there a bit frazzled.
  16. I can see it now. In 10 years, your child will come up to you and ask: "Mommy where did I come from?" And your response will be: "Well honey, your daddy decided to be a pain in the butt and instead of having fun at Kings Island, he decided to stay in the hotel room." Hahhahaa...NOOOOO sir No more children for us lol, but that would be hilarious. After a good night of rest, my head is clear. We really didn't need to go last night. I had been up from 6am Thursday morning until a little after 8pm last night. I was very much sleep deprived. Slept 11 hours...I'm good to go today
  17. Meh. All of the planning and worrying for nothing. We left out at 11...arrived here and have been in our room all evening. My husband decided he didn't want to go tonight. Nice. To say I am upset is an understatement.
  18. Well, I hope all is well tonight. I'm getting ready to head out the door for our 5 hour journey. It's nice and sunny here, but my friends in Lexington say it's terrible there. At least I have all day tomorrow too
  19. I hope you are right.
  20. I would be calling the park every hour to verify that it will be open. That's a LONG trip to find out the park's closed. ^ Yeah, I can see me doing that...then make Don take me on all of the rides personally lol....
  21. There is 100% chance of rain for tomorrow evening. We are leaving at 11am. Going to travel a little over 5 hours. I hope the park isn't closed. Talk about disappointment.
  22. I know the way around that When you have small kids..you do everything you can to avoid such things
  23. Seriously? The little dipper? Wow. I took my kids on that when they were just big enough to walk.
  24. Haven't lost anything to a ride yet, but we did lose my new $600 Nikon D40 in the parking lot at KI. I still do not know how that happened. My husband had taken our girls out to the car, while I took one last ride on Diamondback with our friends. He left with the camera case strapped across his chest. He put the girls in the car, and I arrived about 10 minutes later. I asked if we had everything, he nodded and off we went. I asked for my camera. "It's in here somewhere. I put it in here and then helped Melody to her seat". I looked around. No where. Asked the girls if it was with them. It wasn't. My heart sank. We arrived at our hotel and searched the car over. It was nowhere to be found. I was ready to cry. He was freaking out "I KNOW I put it in here!!" I said "Let's go back to the park, just to see". All the way there, I'm thinking if someone found it, it was gone. It's a nice camera, afterall. We pull in to where we were parked before leaving. It was not there. So, he goes to lost and found. There it was. Someone found it (not sure where) and it was still there. Even the $50 I had in the see through zipper area was there. I was highly impressed with the entire situation. So, if you happen to read this, kind person..thank you from the bottom of my heart.
  25. Sew ya some ShamWOW's together ...voila! lol
