Haha, don't think that there will be an elevator in it. However when you look at pictures of the pieces on the inside there is what seems to be like a ladder, this would be for maintenance only. KI would not have seasonal operators go up on the ladder or an elevator up the tower.

There are supposed to be 8 total pieces. My guess is that vertical construction will happen in two-three weeks. I can't remember where but I do remember the park saying that they will begin vertical construction in March...I can't imagine it taking to incredibly long. Once the first piece is in and set it shouldn't take too long.

If it gets painted at all, I'm one for natural wood, not painted.

Per Kings Island's Facebook We can see what that wooden thing they were working on to the middle right of the webcam. Can't wait to see a bit more!

100% agree! I would love to see a complete overhaul on lighting for the rides. Even having some LED lights hitting the track of say The Beast or Diamondback would be awesome. I'd love to see lighting improvements on Vortex. Back to Delirium, I always think after I see the rendering of a ride how different will the look be. I know that it's just a rendering but if the park isn't going to do it, then why add the special lighting on it. Again GYK I totally agree with you on this one!

I just looked at the ride rendering, apparently that piece is next to last piece to the top.

Thank you, I'm quite aware of that, I'm originally from Columbus so I know 70 and Columbus well. My original comment was that Wilmington was north of KI, therefor maybe the parts were going to Cedar Point. In saying that I had a friend let me know that pieces were in Wilmington I was stepping aside from the comments about I-70 and speculating where the parts were going due to their appearance in Wilmington.

I know someone showed pieces in Wilmington at a stop. Wilmington is north of KI, so maybe they were headed to CP.

Echoing everyone else pretty much: Cargo Shorts (Zippers). I'd leave the cell phone in the car if possible. The less you take into the park, the better.

I would think that they'd carry it via crane and through "Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular/Extravaganza/Celebration" whatever the official title is, either go through the path by the dodgems or through the path next to the Diamondback Splash Pool to CM.

This evening while I was trying to see if Knotts or Wonderland had a webcam up for construction on WindSeeker at each respective park, I noticed that the Wonderland site is still the old Paramount format. http://canadaswonderland.com/index.cfm Wonder why since CF considers it one of it's top 4 parks. I think this is a great idea! I am from about 30 minutes away from the zoo. The Columbus Zoo is my favorite zoo, not because it's my home zoo but because of what it has to offer. I've been to several zoos, some have been free entry, some have been cheap entry with hardly anything to offer. The Columbus Zoo is great because of the fact that you can spend a whole day to a weekend there. If there was a hotel added, I could only imagine what all would happen. I'd enjoy staying there, maybe going to an indoor water park, playing in the arcade, the next day going to Zoombezi Bay and then taking a night walk through the zoo that evening! Heck yes!

Clarify for me if you would, do you need to ride Beast or Diamondback to live? No emergency there. I totally understand it SUCKS to have something like a benefit changed on you after you made a purchase. However, the park deserves that right. And I do have my grown up pants on. I've stepped aside from the situation and see both sides of it. I'm not telling you that "my view is the only view that matters." I'm just stating my opinions, they are up for discussion as long as its appropriate.

I'm totally agreeing with everything in the past 5 posts. I did say get over and I meant it. If people on KIC continue to complain about how they're tiffed off because the park changed the ERT rides constantly who says the park won't get rid of ERT all together? Learn to appreciate what you are offered, what you have, how the park even sells season passes...some others can't afford passes, the perks for passes may not be the same always and so on. I see this situation like life, just because it's an emergency (issue) to you, doesn't mean it's an emergency (issue) to the park. There could be several reasons why they're doing ERT like this, this year. I say put on your grown up pants and enjoy what you have, learn to accept change and just have fun instead of picking out everything the park does wrong.

All I gotta say is "Subject to Change". I have to echo Hendrick's remarks...you pay for the benefits by purchasing the gold pass. If you don't want them, that's why the have the regular pass. Now I understand some of you may have bought your passes before the change, yes that sucks. But get over it. If you're life is all about riding rollercoasters the park is offering up Vortex alongside WindSeeker. If you want to ride Diamondback and The Beast, the park opens generally to the public at 10am. Enjoy it then.
