i spy no lift hill, i do however agree with the part under The Racer. my vote, if even something for the everyday guest, is for a new area of the park. Where did you get this picture? What exactly is it? Obviously it's plans for something, but I just don't know where this is from.

I like coasters. Don't get me wrong, but seriously 15 pages of "rumors" about one coaster is kind of ridiculous. While I believe that everyone has a right to post what they want, I can't wait for the Son of Beast rumors to no longer exist. I liked riding it pre 2006, now I wouldn't care either way if it stayed or if it left. Just wish we wouldn't constantly come up with theories/rumors/ideas about Son of Beast and let the park make the decisions and let us know when it's time to know.

I think Timberwolf is a good thing. If you think about it when there are music in the park days, TW is used for awards. Like many people have said there are multiple uses for TW. While I agree that if TW wasn't at the park, there would be room for more attractions, I just don't see it as a good option to remove it.

Via the Kings Island Facebook Page There is some planning going on, could it be for a new coaster, new ride or an expansion of X-Base?

Since this topic was bumped, thought I'd reply to it. Passed KI today and the distinction from the track to the supports looks really good! I can't wait to see it up close!

Here's a look at the logo in 1972 at the grand opening. I'm not exactly sure it's old english lettering. It could be there are some variations depending on location. If you look below the "dot" above the lower case I look like an accent mark, ' for music. When looking at the picture at the beginning of my post and the picture from TOPGUN1993 I see a flag...not because I'm used to seeing the Cedar Fair Logos, but because flags come in all shapes and sizes. Just my input.

If I'd have to guess, I'd guess they are preparing for another cement pour, for the ride pad. The pad being for loading and unloading. I also am guessing that they are preparing for the queue lines and gates.

To the topic of the queue line for Vortex, I don't like currently how there is a iron fence off to the side of the midway, I'd rather see switchbacks. I always see people confused where the enterance to the line is for Vortex because the fence kind of blends in. I'd like to see switchbacks, closer to the "queue house" enterance (up the stairs). They'd take up less space, if there were 2-4 switchbacks and would allow for less confusion. Just my opinion on that fact. As for WindSeeker and that area of Coney, I'm wondering how the platform, loading and unloading will look. Just thinking out loud here, please feel free to offer your opinions, will the only concrete be the octagon? Where will the operating booth be? Where will the queue lines be? Where will the lights be? Etc. Tons of questions in my mind about this but just wondering!

I read this on your facebook! Sounds like a wonderful trip. I'm jealous that you got to ride X2, I think that's one coaster that I really would love to ride at least once. The park sounds like a wonderful park. I know it wasn't extremely busy at all when you were there, wonder if you would have had the same positive experience had there been more people at the park, hoping that you would have a positive trip at any time. I always have mixed emotions when it comes to rides transferring to new parks. I am happy because the home park of the ride can get something sweet and the next park could get a ride they need to help boost attendance. I'm just a bit skeptical in this situation. To my knowledge, CGA hasn't been the most successful Cedar Fair park. Another coaster enthusiast and I had a conversation one night and we thought that CGA would be transferring rides to other CF parts and ultimately closing down. I hope this is not the case, but I could see it happening. I hope and pray that it doesn't because we all know Cedar Fair doesn't want another Geuaga Lake. Just my two cents.

I'd have to say no....there probably isn't much going on at this point with the cement curing for the foundation. I think the park will be uploading more pictures soon especially when there is some progress being made.

I know I would enjoy seeing other pictures of Days of Thunder (not the go-carts).
