  1. I do apologize CoasterGeek101 for what the topic has turned to from your OP. I am glad that you got a video of the transfer track, some people do see it but most don't get it captured on "film". As I said in my post previous to this, I think it's amazing to see a 22 million dollar ride operate in all senses.
  2. For most people that don't go to the park every single day for ERT, among other times at the park and see the transfer track it is a big deal. For one, you're talking about a multi-million dollar piece of machinery being used daily that no matter what it does, is beyond exciting. For another thing, don't ever discredit someone for seeing something that they find interesting that you find minuscule. Part of someones day at the park can be just experiencing simple things like the transfer track moving, riding the KI&MVRR, etc. If you don't think something is cool that someone else does (i.e. transfer track), then let them know something about the first time you saw the track move, how it made you feel, etc. Make the effort to get to know someone by having a good dialog with someone before just pushing their thoughts aside and making them feel like crap. It's not about who's seen the most things at the park, it's about the friendships you make and continue to let them grow instead of burning bridges.
  3. I too miss the bacon.
  4. I've seen the transfer track, transfer multiple times. It's pretty cool!
  5. From: http://www.pulsejournal.com/news/local-news/new-attraction-at-kings-island-is-animated-dinosaur-walk-1109715.html I think the above quote is interesting. Plans for the walk itself have not yet been filed....so maybe it's not a walk...maybe it's something else. Maybe the plans for whatever it is are confidential until tomorrow at 2 pm. The news story to me sounded a lot like speculation. So in my mind, maybe the park has filed other type of plans than a walk and the story is speculating what it could be since Greg Nichols said that the walk plans have not been filed.
  6. That's what I was thinking Browntggrr. I'm just a bit upset I will be on the road for the announcement.
  7. Canada's Wonderland has started vertical construction. Canada's Wonderland Facebook Talking with a rep from KI, parts should be going up Friday or Saturday
  8. ^^ Preaching to the choir. 2 more days and we will know for sure what's goin on this coming year.
  9. I heard and saw that whatever was in the plastic has been unwrapped....however I couldn't get a picture. I'm surprised no one else has passed the park since it was unwrapped. Edit-- Well since posting a friend had text me the picture on his way to work.
  10. Post #488 Check it out, it has been mentioned and even teased about. Edit-- Browntggrr you beat me to it! I'm happy that something else is coming to the park for the 2011 season....I'm not gonna get my hopes up for something. No need to get mad if the announcement is made and it's something you think is stupid. Be thankful that we even have a park to speculate about.
  11. Technically they can arrive in shipping containers, ala Cheetah Hunt Cheetah Hunt Trains Arrive
  12. Couldn't have said it any better!
  13. Nothing really to report from my stop yesterday. Stopped at the drop off/pick up. Saw the tower parts, top soil, crane parts and a red shipping container. Woo? Lol! I've seen a few time lapses as well, I posted a few of them on my blog. On Saturday evening I saw 9 state highway troopers as well as construction equipment heading to KI via Western Row. Not sure what equipment it was though.
  14. Supposed to be stopping by the park to look at the WindSeeker pieces and the staging area. Talked with several people in the park and yes, I know not to enter the parking lot because I could be prosecuted, so we're stopping by GWL in that parking lot! Will let y'all know what I see even if all I see are the parts
  15. Hey Lance, no your ID will only allow for entrance to Cedar Fair parks.
  16. That's what I was thinking! I heard the last parts came in today?
  17. Don's to do list: 1) Go to work 2) Planning on how to make KIC talk 3) Pose for pictures 4) Post Pictures 5) Tease "information"/media on something that KIC doesn't know about 6) At home: Reads KIC and laughs quietly to himself! Either way, the 2011 map will have something on it that none of us expected. Now what I'm wondering when will the map be posted? I thought I saw something but it may have just been my imagination. Do you think it'll be posted after the 18th?
  18. Well, I was going to say that exact thing lol but you said it for me! I don't know why someone insists on posting on a KI thread if they vowed to never step foot in said park again. Oh well, I'm sure there will be plenty of people riding Vortex and WindSeeker to make up for his "boycott". Both of you are missing the point. I even agree with RaptorGuy. Everything he said was valid. Operationally there is no need for a Vortex queue line to be added or changed up. Would it be nice? Yes, but there is no reason that it needs to be added/changed. The ride is almost 25 years old, and his perception about if anyone cares about it was his opinion. Don't accuse him for being a crybaby for stating his opinions. He is also valid in saying that there was a queue under the station that was not used. The remaining 2 sentences are his opinion don't fault someone for their opinion. I'm sorry you haven't met RaptorGuy to know that he is a genuine guy who actually cares about the park and isn't a "crybaby". You are valid Ashers in saying that the lines can spill out into the midway and plenty enjoy riding it. Your opinion is that you doubt it will go anywhere any time soon. You're allowed to say that, just don't discredit someone because they state their opinion on something. Anyone is allowed to post on this forum as long as they don't violate the TOS. I'm getting tired of people complaining about other people being a "crybaby" but can just be a "crybaby" themselves. This board is not for personal attacks. Yes, I got frustrated with RaptorGuy when it came to Haunt stuff...but you know what, I'm over it...a person is still a person no matter how much you disagree with what they post. Back on topic-- I am wondering what day vertical construction will begin...has anyone heard an official word? From the videos KI has posted about the Coney Mall construction, I'm getting excited everything looks great so far!
  19. No matter what, the park is doing a great job about getting people to talk!
  20. Hahaha Don! Bleeeeeeeeeeeeep! I will be on the road on the 18th to Washington, D.C. someone better fill me in!
  21. I haven't noticed that, I will usually put everything in my camera case in one of the cargo pockets, not too much movement.
  22. Ah, I forgot about that...but yes...I agree. KI currently and CF would not have had that at all. Edit: of course because someone is "famous" they get to have special privileges, but if you or I would have done that....we'd be in trouble.
  23. Terpy what scene are you talking about?
