  1. That looks like a good option!
  2. Hahaha, that was me! Oops! I was not feeling good what so ever and I kept trying different ways to type: coasteraddedtoKIin2009, coasteraddedtokiin2009, etc. lol. Anyway, thanks for sharing!
  3. I don't remember this...what was the deal with Kingda Ka as the name?
  4. I would like to do it at KI because it's my "home" park even though I'm half way between both KI and CP. The only reason I wouldn't do CP's is that I wouldn't know anyone up there doing the event, like I would at KI.
  5. Interesting! I do call for a AZ revamp. Would love to see it completely spruced up. I wonder which buildings if any will be gone next season.
  6. I cannot wait for this event again. Last year was my first year and I did it at Dorney Park. This year it's between Kings Island and Cedar Point. Hmmm...what to do?
  7. I love the update so far. The only thing I've noticed is that when you read all of the topics in a sub-forum (what have you) the home page still shows un-read posts after you either post something or if you have read it.
  8. I asked on their facebook page whether or not the slides that have been in the field behind the water park would be used, specifically if the ones bought from Wyandot Lake (now Columbus Zoo) would be constructed or not. From their response, it seems that they will be evaluating which slides they can use and which can be used for parts in the future. I'd like to see them back up and running again. I've personally never been to the Beach, but may have to make a trip this year.
  9. I've only visited Hanks a couple of times. I've had a bite of the food, it was good. The main thing I like about Hanks is the atmosphere it does give. There is nothing like sitting on the "deck," having a bite to eat, feeding the fish and just relaxing. The atmosphere is great. I personally think it's a hidden jewel for the park.
  10. I've heard that the wheels are to blame and I've heard that the track is to blame. Those who don't know, ask. Those that know, don't share.
  11. I don't see one ever coming to Kings Island. I'm not sure of the popularity of the one at Cedar Point but I know every time I pass it, there isn't many people around.
  12. The theming of the early years.
  13. Recently? Have you checked at the park? The last time I was there (end of August) it was still there. I don't think a missing "themed prop" means the ride is leaving.
  14. I'm assuming it is from the old Wild Animal Safari.
  15. That's an awesome photos of the old ladies licking ice cream. Was I supposed to see anything else?
  16. If you are thinking of going opening weekend, don't. I went two years ago and I swear nothing in the park was really ready to operate. Most coasters only had 1 train op, with BLSC being the one that had it the worst. I liked and didn't like the park at the same time. It felt weird since KI is my home park, but some of the rides were a little bit better.
  17. If there are go-karts somewhere, for me to enjoy them, they've gotta do more than turn left. Either way, I'm glad that Thunder Alley has left the park.
  18. I hope they do finish X Base sometime. I had hoped, the area that Dino's Alive (whether it's good or bad doesn't matter for this comment) covers would have been part of the addition. I really would love to see each "section" of the park be returned to it's original idea of "theme".
  19. While it's not real close, the one next to WindSeeker and Dino's Alive is the closets. Still a walk. I second this motion ^.
  20. Easy: Any ride in Planet Snoopy. Hard: You in front of the Kings Island sign that's in front of the Royal Fountains Expert: Stream under Flight Deck.
  21. My favorite ride on FOF was with Captain Nemo a couple years ago during Haunt. It was the first Haunt with the green laser lights in the launch tunnel. We esentially had a ZEN ride, with both of us being the only ones on the train in the front row. At the midcourse we had to push ourselves forward to get the train to move out of the brakes from where it was almost completely stopped.
  22. ^Chandelier in the International Restaurant Dining Room....dunno if it counts, but there it is! Easy: Invertigo from the midway Hard: You in front of the Kings Island sign that's in front of the Royal Fountains Expert: Stream under Flight Deck.
  23. Will KITV return and have more "episodes" next season?
  24. To my knowledge, the stage for the theater is still standing; CarnEvil takes up the space of what was originally the seating area. Now if they got rid of the stage, they'd have a lot more room to expand the footprint of the Haunt attraction. You are correct, the stage is still standing. I'd like to see the entire venue used during the normal season.
