Son of Beast roller coaster to be removed
I know, which is why I find this pic odd, with the walls on the inside of the station down. This past regular season, the props/walls for Wolf Pack stayed up. However, the walls and props aren't there.

Pass upgrade procedure
However, I upgraded my KI Gold Pass at Carowinds 2 years ago....it wasn't a fun process even after verifying via numerous phone calls I could do so.

Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
You could say Beast's FLP line is "integrated" as it comes in just before the air gate lines.

Son of Beast roller coaster to be removed
Sorry for bringing back a thread that was almost dead....but this I think is worth it Pictured below is the Son of Beast station as of Today. Note the open ends (no Wolf Pack). My friend John C. took this picture while on rounds at the park. P.S. this is my 1,000th post!

Kentucky Kingdom
What I make out of the above: April 27th is the end of the 90 day assessment period. The approval of the sale could take 3 to 4 more weeks, especially since Hart stated it will cost more to re-open and will require a bigger thought to whether or not the sale is worth the effort. April 10th is when the tax incentive will be approved or disapproved. I understand that many compare Hart's current situation to the Koch's.....but Hart isn't the Koch's. Hart from what we are aware wasn't going through family turmoil with the loss of a loved one and legally finding control of their own park. In short, it seems that Hart's plate is filled with a smaller portion of aspects compared to the Koch's. I wish Hart success and Kentucky Kingdom. I'd like to visit some day!

Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
I hear you on the 1/2 hour ERT, we've talked about it on this site before. Part of it is isn't financially sound to do a full hour to have the current line up of ERT rides. I know when I've visited the park over the past few years including when I worked on Diamondback, ERT during the week wasn't worth being open for the entire hour....half of the time, there'd be the amount of people for 1 full train at the ride and that was it, having to cycle numerous empty trains or half full trains wasn't ideal. KI is a destination park by people from all over the world. There have been numerous coaster clubs from across th globe that make special trips to get to KI and to CP. I don't think you're being "cheated" by having a 1/2 hr ERT (some parks don't even have that) or by the addition of FLP. If anything, as season passholders, Fun Perks is a way to reward the locals/passholders. Yeah, you have to spend money to get perks, but numerous grocery stores/gas stations do that too. Because it's a perceived change that they don't understand. They don't understand the behind the scenes side. We have . But Disney is a whole different ball park.

Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
Well you are in luck, CP will have this system as the rest of the Cedar Fair chain. I can go to the park as often as I like, so Fast Lane doesn't really bother me, especially the Plus Option. In my opinion, it'll make the Fast Lane for Beast and Firehawk shorter, because people may not want to pay that extra fee. Although, I could be wrong, but if I'm wrong on that, the other Fast Lanes could be shorter due to people getting the value of their money on Beast and Firehawk. That being said, we won't know until we see it. I'm not going to be upset about it because if I miss something because of Fast Lane Plus I can get it next time. I realize that many can't, and I'd encourage them to get the pass if they can afford it. Not only will it benefit their trip, but future trips in the following years as it brings in more finances for Capital Expenditures.

KI Seeks Applications For Seasonal Jobs
I do not believe so, as the park generally hires people throughout the season.

Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
No, actually its a Lose, Lose.. And both the loses go to John and Jane Parkgoer who cant afford it. Once again, the WhinePass is the Stupidest, greediest and Most ridiculous idea that Cedar Fair has ever come up with...Period... I think it's hilarious that you are calling it a WhinePass because it brings the chain more money for Capital Improvements yet, you're calling it ridiculous, greedy, stupid and are saying the general park goer's can't afford it. Those who actually use Fast Lane, I can guarantee aren't whining about it. The fact of the matter is, it's staying. Park Chains have a fast pass system across the country, they aren't going away. If you don't like the price for one, don't buy it. If you don't like the fact that you'll have to wait an extra train because someone decided to buy it to enhance their experience, then plan to go to the park on a generally known slow day (Monday-Thursdays generally). I'm sorry, but it's time for a lot of people to pull up their big enthusiast panties and deal with it. As it's been mentioned before, numerous parks have a fast pass system of sorts. Many of them you have to pay extra for. Fast Lane is obviously a success for Cedar Fair and they are bringing it back for another season. I doubt it'll go anywhere for a while. They way I look at it, you either deal with it or you just don't go to the park if it's such a big deal to you. Complaining on KIC about Fast Lane is not going to get you anywhere especially when the complaining is about how rediculous, stupid, greedy, amoung various other things about something you do not have to participate in and generally have the ability to avoid "the heavy waits added due to" Fast Lane.

Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
I assume that by fanboys who blindly regurgitate the park's talking points you are talking about me, since I've inserted them into my posts sarcastically. So if you assume that anything and everything the park wants people to spend money on is a rip-off, do you go to the park at all then? If you don't spend one red cent inside the park because of the "nickel and dime approach" then where will the money come for more attractions later on? Yeah, I know soda shouldn't be $4 for a 20 oz drink, a slice of pizza shouldn't be $5 or whatever it is, but the inflation of the price on everything goes toward new attractions. Fast Lane and Fast Lane Plus are a little to no cost thing to do, but a way to make money for capital improvements. I shake my head so much to the people (not saying you BavarianBeatle) who complain about this and that costing so much and that the park shouldn't find different ways to make money, then they complain because the park hasn't gotten anything new in the past year or so other than Dinosaurs or small stuff. If people want to have new attractions, new restaurants, new shows, those take money. Capital Improvements take money and if "fanboys" and enthusiasts want more things for the parks they can't "boycott" purchasing things in the park. -End Rant-

Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
I did not say that you couldn't voice your opinion. I'm merely trying to understand why you are so against Fast Lane if you're only going to ride the coasters 20% of the time. I do have a question, I'm asking in respect, the post above mine says you won't get a Fast Lane, but this recent one does. Are you against it or are you against the "upgraded" option? I've edited my post to show that I wasn't pointing you out specifically on the being grateful, etc, that was in general. A general question: Of those who buy a Fast Lane pass, are they more than likely to upgrade that pass to add two of the more popular rides to the package? To me, it's a marketing thing....if someone is already going to spend extra to experience something, why not give them an upgrade option for an increased price?

Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
Is Disney headed to pay per ride? They've had a "fast pass" system for quite a while now, yet they haven't moved anywhere close to a pay per ride system. I think you are exagerating a bit about that, I mean, if you were to ride a metro system for one price one year, the next year the fee grows a bit or a second option comes along that gets you there just a little bit quicker, does that mean down the road the metro system will start charging per foot you pass over? No. I am pretty sure there are some parks out there that do have a entrance fee and then you have to pay per ride. If you are in Planet Snoopy 80% of the time, then why are you worrying about Fast Lane in a portion of the park you're in 20% of the time or 10% of the time assuming you visit Soak City while at the park. How many other parks have a Fast Pass system? How many of the parks have people constantly complaining about them? We're in an age of instant gratification and entitlement. If something doesn't happen right away, we're quick to shoot down the reason it didn't go the way we wanted it. If someone gets on a ride before we do because they purchased an upgrade to allow them to board before those who didn't purchase it, we all start with the "Oh my gosh, this was the worst decision ever that Cedar Fair could have made, I paid for a season pass to get into the park I shouldn't have to wait because someone purchased an upgrade. I waited in this line on a Saturday for 30 more minutes that I think I should have waited because someone bought a Fast Lane wristband." Edit: In General: To the things that I've seen on this board here on KIC, I say, be thankful that you have a park to go to, be thankful that you have the ability to even purchase a ticket/season pass to Kings Island, be thankful that you have the opportunity to go to the park as many times as you'd like (assuming you have a Season Pass) or be thankful that you are a part of the community that can guide you if you can only go for one visit to Kings Island to go on a fairly "slow" day that you won't have to deal with Fast Lane as much.

Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
I always laugh at the claim of, "The line will be longer if we have to wait on those who get in front of us using Fast Lane." If those people were to get in front of you in the regular line, your wait would be longer as well. Everytime that I've been "skipped" by someone using Fast Lane, the ride attendants/hosts only let a certain amount of guests using Fast Lane board the ride then, they let the non-Fast Lane guests go through, then the repeat the process. I thnk a lot of people are making a bigger deal out of this than it should be.

Interesting. Not a fan of the leg restraints. However, those could be due to the area of the park, placing restrictions.
