  1. Maestro cordially invites you to step inside the Phantom Theater on a stormy night for the grand (and ghostly) opening of a long-awaited performance at Kings Island! No Legs Larry, the Phantom Theater’s legendary usher, needs YOU to help seat the audience. But beware…just before the show, a lightning strike has released supernatural ghost notes from Maestro’s famed pipe organ and they’ve run amok throughout the theater. The entire cast is calling on you to return them back to the organ before the curtain can rise! Riding in enchanted opera boxes and armed with interactive spellbound flashlights, journey through haunted hallways, magical dressing rooms, and wild backstage chaos to capture the ghost notes before they ruin the show. Along the way, meet unforgettably familiar vaudeville stars, dodge a firing cannon, and witness operatic shrieks that shatter mirrors. Will you save Maestro’s masterpiece in time for the show? Only one thing's certain: in the Phantom Theater, all the world’s a stage, and ghosts love a good encore! https://www.visitkingsisland.com/new-in-2026
  2. A new construction fence is now in the location of the old Axe, Axe, Baby's game location. This is the area under Diamondback's helix. What do you think this could be for? Are they going to use it for Haunt props, queue area for a maze, new drinks stand (unlikely), other ideas?
  3. Up at Cedar Point last weekend, we were riding the train going past the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. The guy in front of us looks over at the water next to us, and looks up and asks the guy next to him, "Did you see that? I just saw an alligator in the water?" He as 100% serious.
  4. Here is the video tease.
  5. I had to look up these up and the only thing that might fit (at least in my mind, which could be 100% wrong) is them changing their planned ride installs that was already announced in previous calls? If you invested based on those already announced installs to investors, (then reverse course later) some may have sold or made different decisions with their investments. Could that be a thing? It sure would be nice to have Terp's opinion on this.
  6. You can thank KIC for that even being there. Once it became a hot thread after everyone noticed it was fenced off (and no info from the park.) I reached out to the gold tag I communicated with, and the next day that was on their website.
  7. In line at Siren's Curse up at CP. Guy 1: Son of Beast was so big, but only lasted 3 years and they took it out Guy 3: I can't believe it. I wanted to tell Guy 2, "don't your friend is full of baloney." I resisted.
  8. The good thing about a boomerang is the small footprint they take up. I am not a big fan of Invertigo but don't want to loose another coaster.
  9. Does KI hold 2 rides with the most renames?
  10. What coaster holds the record for most renames @DonHelbig? With this new info, this is the 4th name for The Bat to this point.
  11. I don't think we can make conclusions based on the current marketing creativity.
  12. I feel it will be a new shooting ride. I don't see a Phantom Theater return.
  13. Agreed, we got a bad taste in our mouths just of the idea of KI being a SIX park during the rumor stages. They should have rebranded as "Cedar Fair, the company that runs Cedar Point and Kings Island."
  14. Can we get someone from Herschend? I know it is family company not a public one, but they seem to have their stuff together.
  15. Which is better, just Swoop or The Swoop?
  16. Very interesting! Can't wait to hear more. Seems someone did not like those colors.
  17. An article by the legendary Dennis Speigel. Six Flags’ Future After a Disastrous Q2 2025: Why Reimagining, Not Just Rebuilding, Is the Only Path Forward https://interthemepark.com/sixflags2025.html?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwMJshNjbGNrAwmNk2V4dG4DYWVtAjExAAEecB_hjFfNhyqLIVzPImvHc04AMwq6pUvq2AI3bvzfcKqJW21qx8ZVGOQWsx8_aem_GKv5IWGWPSd9cH8XH7JIhw
  18. Didn't they start the MVP sale before any real announcements happened anyway?
  19. If they add newer model cars and abilities, I am leaning towards the latter. The current track may not be able to support it. That is just my guess.
  20. I agree, it sort of was the knock off of the same ride.
  21. I am excited for what is to come of that building!
  22. What does everyone think about the upcharge for the mazes? Will they be better staffed? Additional theming?
  23. The signs of fall at the park are officially here! While at the park today, we noticed Haunt mazes being constructed, which means we're getting close to that time of year filled with Friday night lights, pumpkin spice everything, and amazing autumnal fun at Kings Island! The Haunt season is already building on our forums, but let's shift gears for a moment. We're starting a new discussion all about the daytime family fun: Tricks & Treats!
