Kentucky Kingdom
^That's what I was thinking after reading this thread and it hits very close to home for me. I recently lost a lot of money and cut ties with my sister over a something born of similar familial issues! Proving yourself can be very expensive... damaging family relations and finances can be catastrophic!

How will $4--$5--$6.50? gasoline affect theme parks?
Oil is our most precious resource (especially since Fort Knox is probably near empty- why did those Canadians make a Million dollar gold coin anyway?). It is therefore a source of considerable power and will therefore always be tied to politics. The key here is to give respect to those with different opinions and search for as much of the whole truth as possible. The problem is much more complicated than... "Is it price fixing, collusion and political influence or supply and demand." By the way, we are all have more to gain from working together than yelling at each other

Greg Scheid on Twitter
This is so refreshing! After a couple of very frustrating conversations with a man no lOnger with the company... I actually had a hard time enjoying CP last year. Until all of this, I wasn't motivated to renew my PP. These new management and guest relations trends have me anxious to go to CF parks. Honestly, 2 weeks ago I didn't even care (especially holding a KD PP which seems to still require in person renewal Thank you to everyone involive in these changes!

Hildebrant's tweets have been quite refreshing. They're finally taking down that hideous projection screen on Iron Dragon's midway! I think out beloved parks are going to start getting their charm back

The Crypt: Gone for 2012!
It's just ugly. Sorry box fans.

Platinum Renewal
Terpy, I too was looking forward to an opening day at KD but, the longer this draws out... I kinda don't feel like hassling with it anymore. I'm not driving to VA to renew my pass after I get there, hoping to enter the park on time. Still hope to see you there but... Actually, last year was pretty awesome. Thanks for the confusion stress CF/KD.

The Crypt: Gone for 2012!
I'm sad to see the box stay but glad CF finally pulled the plug. It was sad watching TR:TR slowly die.

HUSS Lawsuit
In the last two years, I've only seen TTD down mechanical once. Maverick has been a different story! No thank you to that ERT. Exclusive Regrethowyouspentyourride Time. I wonder if Kinzel still thinks TTD is his or CF's worst financial move at the point... especially considering the add campaign for next year. A mention of 120MPH and 420 FEET comes to mind.

What type of coaster does KI need next?
Fixed. Just my opinion A B&M invert would do quite nicely also.

What type of coaster does KI need next?
That launched first hill alone sets it apart in my book.

Soak City Construction 2/2/12
Honestly, I-street is tarnished by my first trip as an adult, in 2007. It stunk of dumpster horribly. I love wooded areas but would be happy to see I-street opened up and shops utilized if it were done with class. It's an underutilized area with a tremendous amount of charm.

Soak City Construction 2/2/12
I wonder if the planters had anything to to with the overspray from the fountain. The spot looks bare now but, I'm giving KI Management the benefit of the doubt because they're obviously focusing on beautifying the midways and they're turning out nice.

Gemini trains on Cedar Creek Mine Ride?
And they fit the theming so well. Good move but I really hope they make em look right

Anyone for a new water ride?
And there was crickets. STR has been a constant stream of problems so that was probably a convo stopper:) Honestly, I've been to CP twice (on good days to ride it) and just haven't. CF had the right idea but it did't go too smoothly and still isn't a high popularity ride.

My 2012 gift to KI Central
I would bet (and of course someone knows) but construction and operating cost will NOT be the deciding factor for SOB Honestly, the big issue must be how likely another lawsuit would be. Multimillion dollar repairs are one thing but, incalculable legal costs are another. SOB represents trainfulls of potential injuries and lawsuits.

Did You Know Cheetahs Ride Shotgun?
I don't even know what to say. I can't imagine a Cheetah not going into fight or flight mode if something went wrong.
-
Giga or Eagles?
I love big coasters. I also miss the lost atmosphere of KI, but know that times change. I can't complain about Rivertown and see KI making a trend towards overall experience and park ambiance. I'll take a Giga any day but would much rather have a multi-launch, terrain hugging twisty fest!

How do I delete my account ?
A tasty little tidbit for a guy who likes interpreting language... I'm sure it's proper but I can't remember ever seeing this in print.
