  1. ^Yeah I just wiped drool from reading it. Not to mention reports of blue Intamin looking supports arriving at Hershey. A park that had a pic of a blueprint set leaked that had footers similar to the ones for I305's lift hill. I'm really getting anxious for some announcements!
  2. Very well said Gator! Thank you! I second everything he says and shame on those who are quick to pass judgment on so few facts. Many parants would feel safe sending a 7 yr old into a bathroom at KI alone. Look at how shocked people here were to find out that it happened there. I am 7 months past an injury and it took me until last week to able to get enough info to decide if I will take legal action or not. I'm not suing but if I was, the responsible party would have not received notice until next week. That's just how it went down. Just because some people abuse the system doesn't mean it's ok to stereo-type or judge someone with so little information. I'm a very peaceful person but, I don't want to run into this guy in a dark alley... I probably couldn't finish beating him before the police arrived. Sorry for bringing aggression to the boards... I've worked with victims of sexual abuse and several were in a kiddy porn ring. Pedophiles have created a very weak spot in my passivism!
  3. ^ Same here! Recently rode it for the first time since I was a teen and loved it.
  4. That's just weird looking. Kinda eerie with the the shady history Nuke power has.
  5. I stand down... I have been thoroughly outdone in the good quote war. I grant to you the (emotional) spoils of victory and my outstretched hand (toward the computer ((not really though))), which I give in defeat and admiration.
  6. 2 posts above yours Just trying to be funny. The fact that TG treatment for SOB was addressed at Coastermania is all over the net today
  7. The dry side empties out during the day because everyone's is at the water park. It's actually the bigger draw for the GP.
  8. Can I blame that on studying late last night?
  9. I love being a pessimist. It rewards me happiness all the time. See, I expect everything to go wrong and be horrible (all the time) and I keep getting pleasantly surprised I'm a very positive person but very pessimistic.
  10. Brownie points for Scott's replies. Well said, thanks for the debate and info I would always rather find out I was wrong and correct myself than to have my knowledge confirmed and just go about my way. I'm good with what I do know, It's what I don't know or am confused on that really interests me. Who was it who said, "the wise man knows he's a fool"?
  11. I absolutely love all 3 of them and I can't rank them against each other. It's apples to oranges and depends on how I'm feeling that day.
  12. $5 at Kings Dominion this year. It's the only money I've spent on games at any Cedar Fair park. I won my daughter a Rasta banana and it was sewn together so cheaply that it has a crazy mean looking face. I didn't notice till I got home. She is scared of it. I feel ripped off! I write Reggae and my daughter (not 3 yet) can talk about the Marley's, Peter Tosh and knows a good bit of lyrics. Man, I wish I would have ignored that banana or looked closely and gotten a good one. She even named it Tosh before she realized how scary he is
  13. That was a long quote for a 2 line post. U can just say my name dude... I'm being friendly, in case you couldn't tell I hate disrespect and the cussing teens are not ok. I cuss but not around kids I was just thinking, scantily dressed was a poor choice of woods, as it makes me think Of something that would be too risqué for KI. It's supposed to be a family environment Hey, maybe Gaga should do her park after all:)
  14. But so worth it! Now that's a perfect example of how restraints can make or break a ride. Can you imagine it with OTRS?
  15. Speaking as a musician, I think loud country is a lot harsher because of the bright and twangy guitars. It's a sound that hurts me more. Others doubtlessly will fnd the bass thump of techno worse I like Maverick's music and never found it too be too loud but other places on Frontier Trail it hurts even my... Seasoned:) ears I sympathize with people finding the music unpleasantly loud
  16. A few thoughts after reading this thread. I am very grateful to CF for letting us carry in drinks. Thanks, sincerely! I like scantily dressed women because... well, I like women and I think sex is an awesome beautiful thing. But PDA and skanky looking girls annoy me. I sympathize with peiople who don;t like skimpy clothing... but I do. I wish I could act all clean and pure and say that I dopn't but that would be a lie. The thing that drives me crazy are the jailbaiters. I swear, sometimes it looks like they're in a hurry to get to their unwanted teenage pregnancy. Before I offend someone, I have friends who were teenage parents and I don't judge... Until they give me reason to... and they've all given me reason to so far. Just my personal experience that every teenage mom I knew wish they wouldn't have been, even though they love their children dearly. They wish they would have had them later. SOB_Tom is right, The metal detectors create a sense of safety and it probably generates more than enough revenue to cover their expenses. People won't return if they don;t feel safe. Also, the perception of security deters crime. There's research on it. That's the main reason why so many police forces have their cops drive their cars home. More cop cars creates a false sense of being watched more closely. Same thing with KI. I would bet anything that hav ing those metal detectors, used exactly as they have been, has deterred considerable crime.
  17. Probably just Kinzel's Karma. I love Cedar Fair parks though and am very excited about DA! and how nice the parks are looking.
  18. padded concrete? Couldn't resist
  19. Scott, just to be fair/clear, I think the pot just called the kettle black. I am not someone who "can't see past their own politics". I'm in a political and moral tornado right now and am re-evaluating many of my beliefs. I also really like having a friendly debate where we can attack each other's ideas (not each other) with curtesy and respect. The tax incentives you describe, as you describe them, are fair and good for everyone involved. EDIT: your point may not have been aimed at me. When you quote, you can erase anything between the two sets of html code saying "quote"
  20. You and your clues/puns/distractions/absolute truths(hidden as one of the former)/ riddles etc... I know your being respectful but sometimes friend, I just want to shake it out of you
  21. ...but Cedar Fair can't do dark rides or theming David, lover of Boo Hill, SDTHC...and Gobbler's Getaway while we're at it! EDIT: to add, I will be a CF theming advocate if they would kindly fix the train crossing and lighting effects on Maverick's launch tunnel. As good as Maverick is, it's much better with that effect and I miss it dearly.
  22. I don't understand, and it's not just the typing. What's funny about the price? Those things are crazy expensive and why wouldn't you sue if someone did not provide something you had paid for.
  23. I'm all for healthy religious beliefs and a governing body. However, both are prone to exploitation and when the two start to merge it gets very scary. I don't care about the debate over the appropriateness of this park. I don't even want to chime in. If it's a good place that leads to joy and healthy things, awesome. I'm all for it. However, if this parks gets additional financial help from our government because of it's Christian nature, that's a very scary precedent on a very slippery slope. If this parks gets government help equal to that of any other similar business, that is fair, just and a good thing.
  24. ^ which is becoming one of my favorite things about going to parks now. Everywhere I go, I see at least one person that I know from forums, events or something enthusiast related. Very cool indeed!
