  1. Where is channel 36 from? I saw two people with cameras and news shirts by DB today.....
  2. The Diamondback cam needs a good cleaning
  3. Well, there is a gap now between the very top and where it stops. My simpleton theory is this. You know how blinds are hard to lower if they are all the way up? Maybe it's the same thing with seeker and this will prevent them from "sticking" at the top. I wonder if the other seekers are the same way.
  4. One thing I noticed when riding yesterday was that it doesn't appear to go all the way up anymore. Otherwise, everything is the same.
  5. One hour 50 minute wait for db yesterday. Tried to get on Beast twice yesterday, never did make it. Two hour wait in the grill. It was crazy busy. I think I will avoid opening day next year.
  6. Let it stop me? Never. I am carrying on like I've always done. The best you can do at any event is be aware of your surroundings. The only thing I won't do is fly and that's my personal hang up.
  7. Interesting sidenote is the webcam shows ws seats are at the top of the tower right now.
  8. Has anyone heard any news on the investigation?
  9. The seats need replacement in my opinion-they are the originals. And, they need the ability to bear more weight. I would like to see some concerts come back there as long as staffing was adequate. If the seats were replaced, I would also like to see it with a steeper slope so the short people further back would be discouraged from standing on the seats to see.
  10. Yet, most of Cedar Point's haunts have some kind of security presence in or around the mazes. It's not enough, trust me. Incidents still happen, and many times the problem party can disappear before police can get there to "talk" to them. I was in wolf pack, and an actor accidentally bumped into the guy in front of me and he broke character and apologized profusely. I have also seen videos on you tube proving the actors are abused, and like I said before, if it were me, the consequences would be very very swift.
  11. I am only nervous with heights in California. Although, my last WS ride was a close second.
  12. I'm cool with that. Unfortunately, the world is at this point.
  13. Back to the front gate-if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  14. If you do run, make sure you run in a zig zag fashion. Your chances of being struck by a bullet are much less than if you run straight.
  15. One like CP has and maybe a smaller one for the kids
  16. Well, I wonder-the last time I was on it, it wasn't right. Perhaps the same issue was close to presenting itself on KI's-and the evacuation time is totally unacceptable in my eyes. Keeping them closed is a good idea at this point.
  17. First point, I think it was foolish to buy so many prototypes without knowing how they would react. Next point, I don't agree with the humidity theory, although it was a good thought. That doesn't hold up at Knotts where there is practically none year round. Last point, major modification on all of them to prevent the sway and the amount of down time they have had and delayed opening. I've said this before, my last ride on the one at KI was a bit unnerving-it was windy and the thing didn't want to come down. I honestly thought we were gonna get stuck. Perhaps its my age and such, but I'm not sure I will be getting back on if it does reopen. I want to hear a reasonable mechanical explanation for this and unless I'm comfortable and it makes sense, I will not be getting back on it.
  18. That's sad. Lot duty is pretty dangerous-people get impatient and there ya have it.
  19. People are just getting uglier every year. I choose not to go to Haunt because of this. It's a shame too, because there was a time I enjoyed it. If I had my way, there would be police and security in every feasible point in the park to prevent this from happening-and very swift consequences if it did.
  20. I was on it a week before Knotts' incident, and it was abnormally windy that day. The ride cycle seemed longer than normal, and I really didn't think we were going to get down. That took longer as well. We were going to take a second ride and decided not to because of that. Not to disrespect Sparky or any other electrician on this site, but I am still against it. Simple mechanics are a lot easier to manually repair than anything electronic. Overriding a computer can be a daunting task. I like heights, but my last WS ride did freak me out a little.
  21. Thanks Tgg. We will
  22. Me either-but here we are
  23. I debated as well and decided against it. I will never forget the time he was with the boys and introduced me as "Miss Kelli" in that accent of his . And the last ride on DB right before his diagnosis. I am sad beyond any words I can express here.
