I would have loved to see Coney Mall overhauled into a seaside boardwalk with simulated decking, seagull sounds and rolling cart vendors along with traditional boardwalk rides... this would look nice on the old Flight Commander pad...

The trees in the circle area with the planter in the middle near KillMart are some of the original ginkgo trees collected and planted. They no longer have the column shapes. The rest either died or were removed.

Yay Winterfest! This is going to be soooo much fun.

I think the meal plan is continuing with Winterfest. I’m guessing the drink plan will continue in some manner. Can’t imagine drinking several hot chocolates in a row.... but willing to give it a try!

If there was to be any virtual reality rides, it should be using the Boo Blaster ride. No blasters just 5 to six minutes of virtual chaos.

It seems they are being very careful about the building frame. Maybe a referb of the building as a shelter hopefully for a ride of some kind?Fingers crossed! Although I like the idea of a new Smokehouse, which seems to be what some want or predict, but does it have to be the “worlds largest”?

I’m always surprised that they don’t go all out on merchandise for HH, but I guess they have figured that merchandising is more effective for Christmas and therefore Winterfest. Anyways, yay Winterfest!

Totally agree! It always makes those surprise first drops on coasters oh-so-much better. Next time you ride AE look at how steeply the area behind FOF drops. It’s at least 30 feet ( give or take). Now take a 270+ lift and voila you have a giga drop. Add a tunnel at the bottom and woo hoo, super giga!

Plus if you look at all of the wooded space behind Firehawk there is PLENTY of room to expand (albeit it is hilly-valley land.) I still say a giga would fit in better if the lift hill started behind racer and went between AE and FOF. giggity giggity.

How about a new themed area called The Haunted Woods. Keep all of the trees and theme the rides to supernatural creatures.

With the upcoming closure of Dinosaurs Alive (10/29) this leaves a humongous plot of land open for construction. My three possible guesses are: 1. An expansion of X-Base 2. A new themed area with a possible resort hotel. 3. A huge new coaster. what are your guesses and speculation? For the moment I think it will be utilized for Winterfest.

As I recall the train had a pre-recorded narrator that as you approached the tunnel he said that we would be traveling back in time to the pioneer days. I seem to remember that many of the animatronics and special effects came to KIMVRR. It was very Disneyish...

I also believe it (or one very similar) was located in Rivertown at one time.

The fenced in area is a major chunk of property. At this point it could be just about anything. Maybe a new mini-Smokehouse and two antique rides?
