  1. Bringing it couldn't hurt
  2. ^ So what your saying is Son of Beast would of been the greatest coaster to ever to be made if it was made in the 70's-80's. Just trying to stay on topic.
  3. There are some discounts on merchandise. A free platinum pass. Access to the employee cafeteria That is all I used mine for, I'm sure there are others though
  4. I sense sarcasm. The place isn't falling apart. But it's not being maintained up to Disney standards. In fact, it's not even up to industry standards in some cases. Splash Mountain has been in this state for days at a time. Sometimes the AA's have been down for a week or so. But Disney won't close it down for proper repairs while Big Thunder is under refurb. I won't even bring up Disco Yeti. Ooops, I just did. ...or the horrible state of Journey Into Imagination, or the infamous angler fish in The Living Seas, or the current state of Wonders of Life, or Luxo Jr. at DHS, or MuppetVision in general... Or the closed Ellen's Completely Out of Date Universe of Energy, the dozens of effects turns off in Dinosaur, the broken Blackbeard fog screen in Pirates of the Caribbean, the decades old music video that is Captain Eo, Paradise Island which has been shuttered for years with no replacement. The list goes on and on. And I'm not talking about chipped paint and burned out lightbulbs here. Power Rangers were once owned by Disney. Disney sold them I forget when. They are no longer in the parks. Long story short, the yeti doesn't work. If you rode EE when the yeti was in A-mode, it was a very impressive effect. But he's been broken for years now. He has a few different modes. Sometimes he has some rudimentary motion. Most times, they just throw a strobe light on him to simulate movement. This is what is referred to as "disco yeti". Of late, they have frequently covered the yeti with a black sheet. Every now and then, there are rumors he has been removed for repairs. But nothing has come of it. It does take a lot to maintain 4 parks and a sprawling resort. But Disney World has been this size for a long time now. They should be prepared for this. But since they have slashed their maintenance budget (and outsourced a frightening amount of routine maintenance) things keep piling up. Now they say they can't close 2 e-tickets at the same time. But it never should have gotten to that point. Test Track is scheduled to go down for refurb in a couple of weeks. But there are rumors that it won't due to delays in Big Thunder Mountain which was in far worse shape than Disney realized. (Which says something when you consider the fact they replaced a falling rock with a black sheet for months!) I'll be interested to see what happens with the TT refurb. From what I understand, GM is very excited about it. So, I suspect it will move forward as planned. But Disney is being very quiet on the subject which makes you wonder. What effects are turned off in Dinosaur? Last time I rode it back in August I did not notice any of them. Also last August, the smoke screen on Pirates was working so when did it break? There is still a power rangers costume in a case at DHS.
  5. From what I have read Disney has more say in it than you think. http://www.deadline.com/2009/09/universal-vs-disney-over-marvel-characters/ That just does not sound to me like Universal has much say.
  6. Depends on what you call inside park. Magic Kingdom has a unique setup with the parking lot being a mile and a half away. The MK rail goes straight to the front gate, so is security not apart of MK? I know cast members working those front gates are considered MK cast members.
  7. I know why the coaster is blue. They secretly repainted Flight of Fear blue.
  8. Avengerrail is up and running! http://wdwnewstoday.com/archives/9075
  9. Or according to the sign by the door Cornerstone Cafe, but more commonly known as Oscar's
  10. Yes. Beating Terp to the punch.
  11. I have actually read the contract. Universal has exclusive rights east of the Mississipi. even though Disney owns the characters, Marvel sold off a lot of rights before Disney bought Marvel. That doesn't mean Disney gets back the rights Marvel sold. Disney has to honor those contracts. Which means they can't make a Spider-man movie until Sony gives up or forfeits the movie rights and they can't put the Avengers in Disney World. They can use them in CA. But they have indicated they may not do so due to the potential for brand confusion. But maybe they will decide it's worth the risk and put them in Disneyland eventually. I'd never say "never" but the odds of Marvel characters showing up in Disney World are slim to none for the foreseeable future. I do know there is a Spider-man ride planned for Shanghai. That's going to be Disney's first attempt to bring Marvel to a theme park. They will proceed from there. Explain this then Lebeau. That picture looks like the Avengers and it looks like it is at WDW. http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2012/03/marvels-the-avengers-themed-monorail-to-debut-this-spring-at-walt-disney-world-resort/
  12. You can also get a photobucket account and upload them to photobucket, then paste the picture URL in here.
  13. Ugh why would you downgrade like that? It looked like it would have been more exciting than Adventure Express. I just watched a POV though, and I do have to agree with you. Try riding it. Adventure Express blows Cedar Creek Mine Ride out of the water. (As one rider the last time I rode CCMR put it: "Hold on, everyone! Looks like we're going to break 7 miles per hour!") For me, the biggest interest I have in CCMR is experiencing one of Arrow's earliest rides... and that's just about it. This year they have Gemini trains on it.
  14. ^Agree with both.
  15. For me personally, something about the forces of a laydown coaster going through the loops my head and shoulders can not handle. I can ride those rides but I must tighten up my body and close my eyes going through the loops. I use to think it was just Firehawk, but Manta was the same way.
  16. Even one with a spitting elephant or snoopy?
  17. ^ While I never counted I can tell you it was very dependent on the time of day and year. For example the trash can along the exit of Flight Deck. The AZ trucker would not typically have to worry about those so much, but the festhaus would be his primary focus for most of his day. Unless it is a holiday or Haunt, then it is just chaos.
  18. Sounds familiar
  19. I put away some cans in Coney last year and the went behind the Firehawk photo booth. It is a very tough task to do.
  20. ^ How was that relevant?
  21. Aw guess I didn't see that. The new timeline is nicer just still trying to learn it.
  22. I know that the PR and marketing is done primarily in house if not completely
  23. I have noticed KI has disabled fans postings on their FB page
  24. SoB had used so many strikes, the game has gone into extra innings. Like the Cleveland Indians Couldn't resist
