  1. You guys have my vote. A well deserved vote, too! Okay, there are two. www.KICentral.com or http://www.KICentral.com. Which one do you suggest I vote for Ryan?
  2. I would say a 40 or less waist. Other dimensions I'm not sure of.
  3. I really enjoy the fangs on the front zero car.
  4. I agree. I really want a black polo. Anyone that's met me face to face would understand why.
  5. I think it looks silver too, but then again, the camera isn't exactly color-accurate.
  6. Yeah, I could imagine so. Unfortunately, I don't handle heat well.
  7. Hah! Of course!
  8. Thanks! I'm back online now. I wonder if we'll see another train loaded today.
  9. Congratulations! Great weigh in. I know exactly what you're talking about with Cedar Point. I went, waited for two hours for Millennium Force and got turned down. Luckily, I had gone the year before and could ride everything. But now I can't ride Millie and TTD, probably not Mantis, maybe Iron Dragon, and a few others. So I was pretty depressed after that little incident. But now in addition to the rides, I have another incentive. My mom agreed to ride TTD with me when I can fit again.
  10. Cool video Cory! I've never seen the Safari, so this is a first for me.
  11. Great tips man! I actually rarely drink soda. I usually only have soda when I'm at sit-down restaurants or parties. Since both occurrences are slowing for me, I don't drink much soda. I guzzle water like it's going out of style. What's really helped me, and it may work for you too; I've been buying 1.5 liter bottles of Fiji at Trader Joe's for $1.75. I have one each day in addition to several more regular sized bottles of Absopure. Also, I stopped eating fast food (mainly the main three, BK, McD, and Wendy's) which has helped me tremendously. I still eat Arby's, but smarter, and occasionally Taco Bell but I don't think it stays long enough to hurt. My biggest problems are, like you said, veggies. I just can't seem to find a veggie I enjoy, at least a veggie that isn't deep fried. That and my large steaks. If I have one, it's typically a 16 oz. Which is killing me slowly. I guess food isn't my real problem. Physical activity is. I literally do nothing. My only exercise is traveling down the stairs to the fridge. I have a fast enough metabolism that if I start drinking even more water, slightly cut back on portions, and start hitting the treadmill, Ab Lounge, and free weights, I should be okay. I think. Thanks for the advice. I'm looking forward to seeing less of you!
  12. Many thanks good sir.
  13. I can see that. I don't see working there as a job either. I would actually enjoy being there every day.
  14. This is crazy. I was going to post a weight-loss thread right before I saw this topic. It's become clear to me that being overweight has limited my activities in life. And really, I'm not that severely overweight. I'm 325 and 6'4" so it evens out. But when I began not being able to fit on rides, I realized that I was loosing out on things I love. Currently, I can't fit on FoF or Drop Tower, and barely on Crypt, Delirium, and the wooden coasters. Starting next week (I'm fighting a sunburn this week) I'm going to start getting up early before school and working out and running. We have a small gym in my basement, so it works out well. My goal is to get under 300 and even more importantly, fit on FoF. I'll try to post weekly weigh-ins. EDIT: I forgot! Pikeman, best of luck to you! We can do this together.
  15. That's actually what holds me back (in addition to an hour drive) from getting a job at the park. I really don't want to lose the magic of KI.
  16. Well, to be technical about it, the Carousel has never had a "calliope" at Kings Island. A calliope is an instrument that is powered by steam and often found on steam boats. The Kings Island Carousel used to have an operational Wurlitzer Duplex Band Organ #157 that dates back to 1918. Only twenty Wurlitzer Duplex Band Organs were ever built. While the decorative front to Kings Island`s band organ is still present, the organ has not been operational for several years now. I believe that 2005 might have been the last year that authentic carousel music could be heard originating from the band organ. Incidentally, while the Carousel (PTC #79 built in 1926) originated at Coney, the band organ was never located at Coney. It was built for Ocean Grove in New Jersey. I think that is a real mistake at KI. The carousel lost a certain magic when they stopped using the organ. It just isn't an old fashioned classic carousel without the music. The sound system is most certainly not a suitable substitute. What's the reason for letting the organ fall into disrepair?
  17. ^I pulled that exact image too. I'm not really sure what it is though.
  18. Hey I wouldn't worry. You still get to work at KI. I have one piece of advice though. Be the best darned employee possible. All too often I am faced with someone in food that is completely unfriendly. They typically have that angsty teen thing going on. They seem upset that they have to work in food service. Show these people up, make the customer feel like they matter. Be enthusiastic and go the extra mile. "A job worth doing is a job worth doing right."
  19. Wow! Awesome! That train really looks nice. Looking forward to seeing more.
  20. Jesse, that's awesome! I've always wanted to make one.
  21. So how are they going to accomplish that? It looks to me like it's going to go past the little rock bed onto the path, which slopes downhill.
  22. Well I've been researching it and I'm going to have to hand code it all. So now I'm going to have to resort to free time. Very sorry, Windows users.
  23. For some reason, I was thinking that too, Jackson.
  24. Hopefully, this isn't a sign of getting old, but the thought of looking at the completed DB is almost as (maybe more?) exciting than the thought of riding it. Nah, it's not getting old. It's valuing aesthetics. I'm also excited about seeing the area done. I just want to see what the park does with the blank dirt canvas. Also, I can't wait to see the splashdown area filled.
