  1. Paramount.
  2. Yeah, the spray has not been working all year. I wonder if it's a maintenance issue or maybe a money issue.
  3. Yep. Speed is deceptive! The park has always claimed Racer does more than 60! Roller Coaster Data Base agrees: http://www.rcdb.com/id69.htm Although Racer has been substantially modified over the years, I sincerely doubt its top speed has been affected. Adventure Express is the one that only does 35!!! That's hard to believe but since it's on the internet, it must be true!!! Seriously though, it does feel like you're going faster.
  4. Well, that was long. Sounds like a fun day. Thanks for sharing. I hope your brother breaks his "habit" for his sake.
  5. I do wear a fanny pack as I prefer not to leave the losing of my wallet and keys and such up to chance. I really don't find them to be that cumbersome at all, and I'm used to wearing them. I used to carry an eyeglass case with me for my glasses, and it fit in a fanny pack rather nicely. Now that I have contacts, I can't break myself of the habit, and I keep my wallet in my front pocket, so that might be a bit painful on some rides. If I didn't have a DSLR camera, I might take a camera with me all the time. It's just too big to lug around and have to worry about securing or leaving in the station. Other than that, make sure you wear comfortable shoes, obviously. That's one of the things that always seem to give me problems, especially after water rides.
  6. Just to add a bit to help out. CF-Cedar Fair CP-Cedar Point SF-Six Flags SDATHC- Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle That's all I can think of at the moment.
  7. How have you never at least heard of "The Young and the Restless?" Were you never home sick from school, and stumbled across the show? The only reason I know of it is because I used to get my hair cut at this place in Fairborn, and after the news would come "The Young and the Restless." That's a while back but it's interesting that you've never heard of it.
  8. I've never been on The Beast at night time, I shall put that on my list of things to do thursday when I go You won't be disappointed. It's a neat ride. I always try to end my day with a night ride on The Beast. I'll be looking forward to hear how you liked it.
  9. You know, on certain days Flight Deck still draws a line. I waited about 20 minutes on my mega huge group outing day. Now, the line was still in the station, but I was shocked to see a line.
  10. Terpy, I'm flattered that you'd consider me a friend. Let the ribbing commence.
  11. "sniff, sniff" I smell an overhaul for all the CF sites. I like the site. Spiffy even.
  12. Did I miss the memo telling the world to go INSANE? My head hurts.
  13. For some reason it still bothers me how on the sign the red is on the left and blue on the right, when really the blue is on the left and red on the right. It just seems like one of those details that should have been noticed. Oh well, maybe I'm just used to disney. I noticed that my first trip but I'm very detail oriented like that. And I'm anal-retentive so I can't stand that it's like that. Oh, well.
  14. I can just hear Don LaFontaine now. Can't wait to see it.

    Shocking!!!!
  16. This makes me think. We, as the guests, place an enormous amount of trust in our fellow guests not to do something completely insane like this. Once you're strapped into that ride, "what will be, will be." You really have no control over what happens from that point. This is truly an unfortunate incident and I feel for the boy's family. That being said, the blame lies squarely on this boy's decision to climb not one but two fences, ignore posted warnings, and approach a roller coaster while it was coming toward him. I will be following this story intently. Even though Six Flags was not at fault, this may leave a negative taste in people's mouths. Just tragic.
  17. Considering I waited an hour last night to ride. I would have been back in that line so quick. Good TR. It's always good to get lots of rides in.
  18. I was there yesterday, and I think I saw two the entire day.

So the question remains. What is going on with Drew, and what does Nashville Star have to do with it?
  20. No, I'm sure they'll be claiming soft tissue injuries with maybe some contusions or lacerations. If they get hooked up with an ambulance chaser, they'll be going to a chiropractor for about 2 months for about 18 visits. Their claims will probably settle for between 6K and 7.5K. That's a good amount of nickels. Nickels rule the world. It's all about the nickels one way or the other. Everybody can say they don't care about nickels, but that's what makes our current world go round. CREAM.
  21. Wow. I don't know what else to say. Trouble on both ends, the girl for being insane, and the manufacturer/ops for questionable procedures.

I just checked the Nashville Star site, and there's no Drew on there. ^^^What's the deal?

The better question is: Should people need to ride defensively? With Sonny, yes. In general, no.
  24. That sucks about your friend on MF. I'm eager to find out exactly what happened to make CF freak out so much about MF to shorten the belts like that. I am generally like you all in that I like to ride nearly everything at a park and not just crush the "biggies." Thanks for the TR.
