  1. I just got home from KI about 2 minutes ago, I live in Indy, and I rode Firehawk for the first time today. I don't think you will have any problems on any of the rides. Most are pretty accomidating.
  2. they aren't going to move that exact slide to KI. RacerRider is using that paricular one to show what he wants to see next year.
  3. I went to Hershey not too long ago and was very anoyed with every crew there. The "bad" Kings Island crews look amazing compared to Hershey. One ride, I saw someone texting while they placed their drink on the control panel for the ride, one slip and...oops, the person that checks height in front of the line for one ride was actually asleep, and It took around ten minutes to load every single train on every ride in the park. Kings Island may have some areas for improvement, but overall, I believe that they are doing an excellent job compared to other parks.
  4. I've been stuck on Gemini on the E-Brakes for around 20 minutes because a bird sat in front of one of the sensors. And I've been stopped on Maverick for around 15 for a roll back. I was not on the rollback train, I was already sitting on the brakes. I asked if we could go around again because we got stopped, but I was told no.
  5. They're putting The Racers where TTD is at CP.

I am sorry but, they never had a roller coaster by the title of The Son of The Beast.... Hah you can tell I am bored at 1:37 AM ...and its still there it hasn't gone anywhere...AND its still the tallest and fastest woodie there is. I answered no also.
  7. I usually stay at Camp Sandusky in a tent. It costs less than $30 and I get to camp out. I just went this past Sunday Monday and I got free parking with my Kings Island Maxx Pass. The attendant saw it in my wallet when I got out my $10, he scanned it and said I was free to go for free. I don't have a parking pass of any sort. That was a nice way to start my day.
  8. As long as they don't put it too close to The Beast, anywhere in the back would be fine with me. I just got back from Hershey Park. The Trailblazer is a VERY small mine train coaster that has...had some cool scenery through the woods. Now it has Storm Runner running by it constantly. Storm runner completely encircles the ride, everywhere you look there is red track. Kinda takes away from the experience. I would hate to see that happen to The Beast.
  9. I hit my head on a tea cup ride one time...but not bad enough to go to the hospital and stay in intensive care. Thats too bad. I wonder how it happened, that cup had to be movin fast!!
  10. I was more refering to the fact that 2 of the 4 rides are closed. I didn't even notice The Beast thing. Did anyone else hear that The Beast is opening tomorrow!!!
  11. Just something I noticed, this is what is beside the "Thrill Rides" section of rides and attractions at pki.com Ready for extreme thrills? Then, check out our world-class roller coasters, including: New for 2007....Firehawk, Kings Island's 14th roller coaster; Son of Beast- The Tallest, Fastest Wooden Coaster on the Planet, DROP ZONE, the world's tallest Gyro Drop and The Beast, still the world's longest wooden coaster after 34 years! Huh.....
  12. I would love not having to drive almost 2 hours for the nearest theme park. I live about 7 miles east of downtown Indy. Its fun going into town, but a theme park around here would make it much better. But like art_star, I'm off to Purdue in August, so it no longer makes any difference to me.
  13. I'd like to have two trains when it first opens...I really don't care what color they are.
  14. You just have to know where to ride the rides. Vortex in the back is very fun. You get air down the first hill and its reasonably smooth. I'm not sayin it a B&M, but its not bad. The only reason the back hurts me is cause I'm too tall and my shoulders rub around on the top. TR:TR is a terrible waste to me. They need to make it a more intense ride without the Tomb Raider Theme. It just doesn't work. Take it out of its shell and let it run a bit. (Put it outside so we can see it move) Make it like this one better yet, lets steal that one from wherever it is, I think its north, and get rid of TR:TR I used to think IJST was another waste of space until I rode it in the back. Its pretty fun back there, but not worth a wait any longer than 15 minutes.
  15. I think that blue would look cool on a different sort of way. Those trains look really small. Can anyone compare the size of the G-Trains to the old trains?
  16. Didn't they ride it multiple times? Maybe they were just having fun riding it for the first time in over a year.
  17. No FoF or FH? Thats area is gonna be the first thing I do next time I go.
  18. does everyone know that you can buy as many $5 tickets as you want and save them for later? Me and one of my friends did that and went back later when the prices were higher with a shorter wait. You can do the same thing with the Sky Coaster. Just thought I'd say that in case someone didn't know.
  19. I just saw one go on the drop side.

its already a Cedar Fair web site. if you type in pki.com it will go there, but the url will change to Cedar Fair.
  21. They were probably just using three cars so they could pull it through the track and make sure nothing hit anything. With the modified wheels, who knows what they might hit...if anything, which is why they do that test. And...instead of using one car like most pull throughs, they used three to make sure the joints could pivot and rotate to make it all the way around the track and not wedge itself somewhere half way through.
  22. was it running under its own power or was it being pulled through? Sounds like a pull through if they were looking at the places it just went over.
  23. did you make that or find it somewhere?
  24. I just went this last wednesday and thursday, it wasn't BAD, but expect hour waits. You might thyen be pleasently suprised or right on target. BUT, there is always a possibility that I'm wrong. You can never know.
  25. Wow.....all I can say is Wow. Can reporters look into storys before they write them? It seems like every time something happens in an amuzement park, the reporters get it all wrong, or atleast most of it.
