huh, not a shocker here, after they closed half the park and moved there star coaster. and the whole superman tower thing i didnt see it staying open for much longer. I would how ever like to see a new company pick it up and try to bring it back to the way it was in the 90's. That park could have been great. It was still a fun place to visit. Im sadden that its leaving.

I have an interview with the park this friday at 3, for ride operations, im excited, i hope i get the job.

Why cant KI invest into something like Holiday World has on voyager. You pass your items to the ride opp. and they place them in a locker then give you the corisponding key to that locker.

Ok i am right there with ya, i dont do Drop Tower, have before but never again, just reading about you doing it made me nervous, Im right with ya give me any rollercoaster and its fine but once on a drop ride i freak, but how ever there is one that i can ride, Demon drop due to the fact it has a floor. Thank you for clearing up why im afraid of drop rides

i think it would be sweet if they could remodel the coaster to make it less rough. I love Son of Beast and i think i would cry if they took it out.

wow, great trip report. I love the voyage too, best coasteron earth. I just cant wait tell next tuesday when i finally get my first trip to dollywood.

This is an easy one for me, Vortex all the way. Ever since my first ride on it when I was a lil kid I’ve been hooked. I’m even thinking of getting a tattoo of it in some way on my back. I love this ride and have to ride it every time I’m at the park, lost count after 200 laps.

Yeah I know that shoot the rapids has been announced this was way before they had said anything about their new ride for 2010.

While this doesn’t pertain to Kings Island. When i visited Cedar Point this past summer i overheard a couple managers talking about a coaster. I remember hearing that ttd and maverick will be having a baby soon. Idk if it was to get ppl talking about their new ride next year or if it was a clue of what could be coming or just a view of the employees talk out there *wazzoo*. Just thought i would post it. It’s been in my head ever since

ok change of outfits, im goin to my vanity bell bottoms and a white shirt with a peace sign on it. Yeah i cant wait leaving home in about 20 mins, Ill probably be by invertago at 6, since its my fav. ride. Ill be in the front seat. Hope to see u all there.

Ok so like im going to the event by myself now cuz josh has to work it. so i was wondering who all is going and since i really havent got to meet a lot of you or anything figured i would use this as a time that i can. if any of you want to hang out with me for a few rides send me a message.

ill have to disagree with you on that one, im the worlds greatest gay uncle to 3 of the best kids on the earth. trint...had to say this becuz of a report his nephew did on his "Favorite gay uncle trint." Which he got in trouble for. He is in the 4th grade.

Day 1 Cedarpoint We left kokomo around 6am. We drove for what seemed like 4-ever. My boyfriend went with me this time and this was his first trip up there. He had never been to any amusment park larger then Kings Island. It was a long trip. But when you see it on the coastline just standing so proud you know your in heaven, josh's first words after seeing it was "its so pretty." We parked in 23b and noticed that the parking lot wasnt that full. Our first ride was Demon Drop, Now you all know i hate being dropped so this really freaked me out, but i wanted to do it, due to the fact that its one of the few of its kind still standing, It was a walk on ride so we got to ride it twice in a row without getting off and walking back in line. Them we headed to Wicked twister, josh hasnt been on anything like it and i was trying to prepare him for the dragster. We got backseat. And when we lauched josh was so scared, I laughed really hard, i couldnt stop. When it stop he looked at me and said that he wasnt expecting that, even watching it from the ground he wasnt expecting it. He picked to ride the Disater transport next, he though it looking like FOF and wanted to try it, I told him it wasnt anything like it. But we rode it anyways, again it was walk on. When we got to the part where the helix is the lights were on, so it was cool to see what it looks like in that part of the ride. He really liked the ride, and i must agree its a enjoyable ride but a lil on the short side. Then came raptor, one of my all time favs. wait time 10 mins for the front seat. Great ride. Then we rode bluestreak, That ride has a punch to it, back seat is a blast, but note to self, make sure pants are not losse fitting, seatbelt helps pull them down. lol never had a coaster try to strip me. So after that josh was like we have done 4 rides in less then a hour, Is it always this empty, I said no and that we where there on a good day. We walked back to the back of the park because he wanted to ride the newest ride, The one that was on the front of the broucher he had. So Maverick became our next stop. The walk back was great, the park was really clean and the garndens where great, I really liked the one that was made to honor Magnum. By the time we got to the back of the park it was starting to get busy, the line for Maverick was an hour, But seemed to take less then that. They really did a good job at getting all the cars out without stacking, a big improvement from the last trip there. ALL I CAN SAY IS IT A AWESOME RIDE. The rest of the day was walk on or shorter. Mean streak was a blast and i dont think it was a rough as it use to be, we sat in back seat and it didnt kill me. Real great ride. we then rode gemini wich was only loading on side. The blue side was close due to a coaster marothon that was rideing it as much as possible for some kind of charity, they never came out and said what it was though, still wondering, hmm. After magnum josh was like okay where are the really big ones, like the blue one i saw when we came in. I told him its name was millenium force and that its on the other side of the park. He said okay lets go ride it. We walked over and on the way stopped at the mineride and skyhawk. He like skyhawk but said it was too short of a ride and mineride sucked compared to Kings Islands. We rode MF in the middle we was freakin out on the way up. I was again laughing, then the drop came and his arms went up, first time I have ever seen him put his hands up on a coaster. Later i asked about it and he said, i felt weird holding on the bar on my crotch, I didnt know what else to do. LOL we then decided to ride magnum and on the way over he picked to ride mantis, which was a hour wait and he didnt really care for it, said it hurt his man hood. wildcat was walkon and so was iron dragon. He like both though they were fun, then we walked by TTD and his mouth hit the ground, "OMG are we riding that" I tod him yes but later, He didnt answer just looked at me with a face that said im not riding it. We got on magnum and he like it, after getting off I said ok, time for TTD, He said he wasnt goin to ride it, at least not today. so i went on my own, I got the front seat and it was the best spot ever to sit. I was shoked that i got air time on the top, You just float over the top. After that we decided to go and find our hotel because we were both wore out and needed sleep due to the fact we didnt sleep much the nite before. We got our room for 54.95. Day two Cedar Point We woke up to rain, and cold. We got ready and packed the car. When we got to the park everything was close due to rain, So we decided to ride the things that we didnt due, the flat rides mainly. We rode matterhorn and himallaya. by the time we were done with them the rain had stopped but the clouds were still there. We decided to ride maverick again and it was a hour and a half wait. We really didnt ride much this day, Instead we walked around to see what else the park had to offer. Which is a lot. We went to the water park and it was cold as hell but the water was worm like bath water. We like it but it was nothing compared to KI's water park. after the water park we decided to hit the snake river falls, that drop is insane and the water spash down gets you drenched. But i had to wear a pouncho due to the fact that they dont hold you bag while you ride, had my cammera on me and didnt want it to get wet. Them we hit the white water rapids and let me tell you something that the pounch didnt help at all. The waterfalls in it ripped it completely off me and my bag was soaked, thinkfully the spot where my cammera was at, didnt get wet. We went out to the car and changed in to dryer clothes. then went back to ride TTD, This time it was him who said he wanted to do it. He though that he would hate himself if he didnt ride it. The wait was a half hour. We got on it and he was like were do i hold on to. I told him that the lap bar was a good place. We rolled into the launch position and he kept saying oh crap( well another word) over and over, When we lauched he screamed like a women and laughed yet again, On the top of the ride as we looked down he said i dont think i like this anymore. then it ended, He looked at me and said i love you can we do it again. LOL. The rest of the day was a blast we rode everything again and even got multipule rides on magnum and MF. We then left and drove home. Friday was a off day but i had to work 3Rd shift. After getting off work i got home and my mom. brother and soon to be sister in law, where ready for our trip. Day 3 Holiday world, on no sleep We got there around 10a, and this was a trip that i have been looking forward two for a long time, due to the fact since me and my brother have grown up we havent done anything together with our mom as a family in forever. My brother isnt one for coasters and we even had a conversation about that on the way home. My mom doesnt like them either and nether does my dad, They cant figure out where i got the thrill Gene. Raven was first, my mom even rode it with me and my brothers gurl. I loved every min of it, but saddly the other two didnt, this was the end of me having a riding buddy for the rest of the day.So after that we went to the water park, It was a blast, Everything is so fun, We all waited for zinga, to find out the two adults at a time in the raft, My brother didnt go with us on this one, due to the fact he doesnt time to drop. So at the top i was told i had to ride alone, okay no problem except the fact that i just about flipped. I came up to the drop backwards and then when i dropped i had to throw myself forwards to keep from flipping over, I mean the tube was vertical, I told the guy at the bottom when he asked if i had fun, I said it would have been more enjoyable if i could have ridden it with my family, then told him that the one at KI you can ride with 3or4 adults, he said really huh ill tell my manager about it. and i said make sure he knows that one person isnt safe on this thing too. We rode all the other slides with out a problem even bakhuli< unsure about spelling. We rode it with 3 ppl in the tude, why is it on one you can ride 3 but not the other one. it was great. Then came pilgrims plundge, my mom was scared to death over this ride, she hated that it was an elevator and was scared that we were goin to roll off backwards. I talked her into ridding it, but wasnt able to talk my brother or his gurl to ride. It was a unforgetable ride, the evelavator is a lil scaring on the way up, cuz you hear squeecks and a really load popping news when i stops at the top. then the drop is awesome, i have never felt this sensation on a water ride, the speed and the lil bit of air time you get. The spashdown isnt that big but you do get wet. Its one of my top you must ride rides. My mom even liked it, we ended up rideing it 3 times. We then decided to get dry and hit some of the other rides in the park. We rode all the flats Even got my brothers gurl on the liberty launch, It scared her to death, The face she made was priceless. She liked it but wouldnt ride it again. After that we went back to the waterpark for a few last water rides. Then we went back to the park where we split up so i could ride the rollercoasters, I got a total of 4 rides on the voyager, once in front which isnt as fun as the back. The back seat whipps you around everyturn and even gives you more airtime on the hills then you get on the front, its a great ride and i have now placed it on my top rollercoasters. I rode the ledgened 2 times and it was a loud ride they need to oil the track and the wheels, the screeching in my ears gave me a headache. I then got the call that they were ready to go so i walking out to the car and we left. As soon as we were on the road i past out. and slept. When we got home I fell asleep in the chair in the living room and didnt get up until an hour ago. I had a great week and am kinda sad that it is over.
