  1. Zoinks! So from what I'm getting here is Cedar Fair doesn't care about the guests it's a financial decision a decision based on what is best for corporate finances and protecting the shareholder *Ugh* .It's always about the money! And after reading and rereading that it gave me a slight headach.Oh well I love Snoopy and I hope Cedar Fair does Planet Snoopy at Kings Island right..still I'm a little ticked off about Scooby-Doo leaving a Kings Island a staple is now gone. Interperter am I right? it's a financial decision right?
  2. well......mixed feeling there.....i mean if i asked my kids..."kids do you want to go to Kings Island today? but they dont have sponge bob anymore" my kids will still yeas yes.....it sounds like a few parents here maybe pushing their own opinons on the kids. let the kids have fun. I would love to find a kid that LOVES Nick and take them to the park next year, to see if they sit on the sidelines pouting not haveing fun. I do.I always ask them if they want to go to ''Kings Island'' and they always ask will Scooby-Doo and Spongebob be there? I've never pushed my opinion on my kids ...why would you? it's there decision if they want to go or not.Okay now that I have that out of the way I'll will say this or write it at least...I love Snoopy and I'm looking forward to it I grew up with Snoopy and while my youngest ''kids'' may not be to happy about it I'm sure they will change their minds come April 2010..besides I can always take them to Six Flags for Hanna-Barbera meet and greets..Scooby-Doo,Fred Flintstone,Yogi Bear...yeah it's all good.
  3. I will back up standbyme saying and stating this ... My Family and I only visited Kings Island the past three years for Scooby-Doo and Spongebob yeah it's true my ''kids'' always looked forward to seeing and being greeted by Spongebob and Scooby-Doo..it's sad scooby-doo is gone now my oldest niece (whom is 12) is upset over it more so than spongebob leaving. Some parents just take there kids for the characters you may not want to take truth to it but it's true!
  4. I dunno? Some kids are scared of them! I've seen kids scared of mickey mouse! But what I do know is MOST kids adore snoopy what kid doesn't love a big loveable dog? and yeah Sally corp can do just about any thing and I HOPE they turn the haunted castle into something adults and kids can have fun with themed to Snoopy....yeah I like the Scooby-Doo Ghostblasters theme WAAAAAAAAAAAY better of course you all knew that! FYI-The Six Flags Scooby-Doo Dark Rides PWN Paramount Parks ones.
  5. Have any of you been to Planet Snoopy at Cedar Point? It's pretty cool! I'm hoping it's done better than Cedar Points because Kings Island's kid area is bigger yeah they had statues of snoopy and they even had one of him sitting on a bench. I'm looking forward to Cedar Fair filling us in on what's to come to Kings Island's Planet Snoopy. And I *hope* Scooby-Doo and The Haunted Castle is rethemed right ... I'm hoping it's rethemed to Snoopy like maybe have him looking for woodstock and you have to help snoopy find him..or a Great Pumpking theme...Call it Snoopy's Halloween Adventure....corny... I know.. .That or something cool.original.anything but the ghostblasters theme again...
  6. Good-Bye Scooby-Doo! I will miss you! I hold Scooby-Doo and the gang very close to my heart so this is a bitter pill for me to swallow.. I wonder what will happen to SDATHC? I mean it's only six years old..I hope Cedar Fair doesn't muck it up and I hope they won't transform it into a joe cool cafe that would be a nightmare! I hope they re-theme to the ride to snoopy and the round-headed kid it would be fun..what ever happens I'm hoping for the best. -But I HATE to see Scooby-Doo go he's been a staple at Kings Island for so long...it's like the yummy-super-delicious blue ice cream leaving the park ...
  7. I always get stoked when I see Snoopy in the Thanksgiving Day Parade yeah it makes my day...Turkey Day that is.. And for all you gamers out there check out this upcoming Snoopy video game it looks cool and I may just pick it up when it's released next year for my XBox 360 it's also on PS3... Peanuts+Crimson Skies+War Hawk= Snoopy World War 1 Flying Ace!..Click!
  8. I lol'ed hard when I read that comment...LMAO! Yeah I gotta say this I hate when people smoke around me and my kids it bothers me plus that smell is just awful I'd rather smell a skunk's butt than a person smoking.
  9. For the love of.... Those aren't cardboard pointer they're wooden and kinda heavy..anyway I don't get it so is scooby-doo and the haunted castle leaving or the character scooby-doo(meet and greet?).Besides last time I checked the contract rights expire in 2013 for scooby doo what the crap happened? they could always keep scooby on international street or coney mall.
  10. Hmmm don't think ghosts and ghouls are scared of laser guns but man shine a flashlight on em and there outta there.
  11. Wasn't Kings Island going to be themed around Hanna-Barbera... I mean the park as a whole... I've been told that not sure if it's true.
  12. Exactly...Frightlight Flashlights...
  13. With what? you guys do know those aren't gun they suppose to be ''Flash Lights''
  14. Yuck. I haven't been to a Halloween event at KI since Fear Fest 2006 and I dunno I just don't care for Hollywood guts and gore there's so much more to Halloween than that...like Candy..Telling Scary Stories...and TP'ing your grouchy nieghbors trees...throwing old cole slaw at your ex girlfriend..Sticking potatoes in the tail pipe of your bullies car/truck... I'm one devious b@sturd!!!
  15. No,I was thinking more along the lines of Enchanted Voyage,Smurfs Enchanted Voyage & Phantom Theater were you sit back and relax. If they do retheme SDATHC I hope they do it right..I love those spooky windows as you get into your mystery machine.
  16. There not cut-outs they are wooden...and I can see it being themed to the great pumkin and following snoopy in his red baron attack,Peanuts gang as they go trick or treating,Linus waiting for the great pumpkin. ''I got a rock''-Charlie Brown
  17. I read you TR and I gotta say it made me weepy great TR it's the best one I have read in a long while. Congrats and I'm sooooo sorry for your loss.
  18. No and Yes. Listen I visit Kings Island because I grew up going there I rode my first coaster (Beast) there and that park made me the thrill junkie I am today plus the fact my ''kids'' always run to scooby-doo to get a hug whenever we go then they beg me to let them ride the Scooby-Doo & The Haunted Castle it will be sad when I take ''em'' next spring/summer and Scooby isnt there I'm just totally bummed man... that Cedar Fair would be so stupid to get rid of Scooby-Doo he is known by young and old it makes sense to keep him he's been at the park since 1972.. but what I don't understand is Scooby-Doo the character going or is the dark ride? I will take my ''kids'' to other parks so they can have there fun with Scooby-Doo at Universal Orlando or Six Flags and I can have my adult fun riding the coasters and big thrill rides. As Cedar Fair getting a penny outta me I was being harsh I'm just angry of the removel of Scooby-Doo... I still think Cedar Fair is beyond stupid but I will wait and see what's to come then make my mind up about getting passes BUT I do welcome Snoopy I hope they do some great stuff theme wise to Nick U. I hope to see The Peanuts greeting kids decked out in their Halloween Costumes next year I've alway had a soft spot for Scooby-Doo and Snoopy they both are awesome...
  19. As child of the 80s I grew up with the best of both worlds ''Hanna-Barbera and Nickelodeon'' and Snoopy.I miss Hanna-Barbera Land and I'm going to miss Nickelodeon and if scooby-doo goes Cedar Fair won't get a penny outta me.I'll take my money and ''kids'' to Florida or Six Flags yeah certain Six Flags parks have the hanna-barbera characters.
  20. No.WB/DC Comics never wanted to be apart of IoA. This does have a me a bit worried ....
  21. Yeah I read in that press release that Tim Allen is up for the role of Capt America! I dunno I feel all weird about it being a comic fan and all.
  22. D'oh! Scooby-Doo IS Leaving?!? ... Good-Bye Scooby-Doo! You were a staple for Kings Island and almost the park's mascot ... I'm still going to wait and see before I say my good byes .. I feel scooby-doo should stay and isnt Scooby-Doo & The Haunted Castle on International Street? the press states that it is in Nick U. Still if Scooby-Doo leaves I doubt I will get a pass .Scooby makes our trip to the park he brings so much happiness to my nephews and cousins,me etc.
  23. Wow.All of that is dishearting I love Son of Beast I remember when I first rode it in 2000 I rode it with my father, best friend and little cousin. Sob certainly has had a hard time pleasing guests and another thing I reallllllly miss the loop and the new carts suck I miss the old ones.
  24. Is that what you all are looking for? Yeah when I tried to look it up it had that Dominator listed as coming to Kings Island in 2010 anywho I had this snoop press release saved..gotta admit wont be to happy if Scooby-Doo goes.
  25. Yeah I remember when IOA was in the concept stage I remember reading about the ''Gotham City Island''(Batman for all of you that don't read comics or watch the movies) that is now Marvel Super Hero Island. sorry for going off topic I just hope justice is done I mean our kids area is huge and I don't want CF to make it generic theme wise.
