  1. I remember back in 2002 when Tomb Raider:The Ride Opened some guy told me as I was leaving that TRTR was a coaster and went into four loops! I also remember back when Scooby-Doo and The Haunted Castle Opened in 2003 ..my friends and I were in front of these two ''hilljacks'' and as we were coming off the ride they were mad because they didn't win any ''money'' or ''prizes'' for ''winning'' SDATHC. ...Stupid!
  2. Yup.My favorite crime solving k9 is 40 years-old yesterday and I'm looking forward to his new cartoon series ''Scooby-Doo,Mystery Inc.'' on Cartoon Network in 2010 and his new(untitled at this moment in time)animated films coming in 2010 and 2011 and his fourth live-action film coming in 2011! Happy Birthday Scooby-Doo! After all these years you still bring a smile to my face.
  3. Fantastic report and pictures I've always been told to make a visit to Six Flags Over Georgia I hear great things....I find it funny they used the american ''Godzilla'' from the 1998 remake of Godzilla.Six Flags is mocking sony pictures ad's for godzilla anyone else remember those billboards & bus ad's saying ''His Tail is longer than this bus'' and ''He's taller than empire state building''.
  4. ^ Yeah totally the concrete hurts my feet cuz it's hot..other than that I hope Cear Fair does Planet Snoopy right and I hoping Cedar Fair will give us a dark up to par with Scooby-Doo and The Haunted Castle,Smurfs Enchanted Voyage & Phantom Theater,Enchanted voyage..a lot of dark rides have been in that building and I'm kinda scared that when they close scooby-doo and the Haunted Castle that will be it.
  5. I like Action Theater but I do miss Days of Thunder and 007,Heck 7th Portal was kinda cool.
  6. Nope not on rollercoasters but I do get really sick if I get in something that spins non-stop ... I get sick in these...
  7. But he's not in Scooby-Doo and The Haunted Castle now is he! But yeah that was pretty bad... BTW-I like Scrappy I don't However,Like how he was (spoiler) the villain in the movie they(Production team) put Scrappy in at the last second for kicks...the REAL villain was suppose to be The Luna Ghost from the beginning of the film ...Next time you watch the Scooby-Doo movie listen closely as Old Man Smithers aka "the Luna Ghost"speaks ...he says ''I'll Get you Mystery Inc. if it's the last thing I'll ever do! ...it was suppose to lead up to him being behind the events of the film NOT scrappy.
  8. Flight of Fear when it opened with the over-the-shoulder restraints! It beat the crap outta my head!!!
  9. I haven't rode it in a while but I do remember the Ware Wolf, Jeeper Creeper, Mummy, and Black Night from the first and second season. No offense, but I always find it funny when people try to name their favorite scooby-doo villain! and cannot remember the name of the villain Please allow my scooby-doo wisdom to help you after all I've seen and own every scooby-doo video, game, dvd, poster, toy the list goes on here's the villans Cedar Pointer is refering to... The Creeper The Black Knight Ghost (Also in Scooby-Doo 2:Monsters Unleashed The Wolfman Wanna see him <----- look at my avatar( Don't be confused ...also in Season one of Scooby-Doo!,Where are you there was also a Werewolf Ghost) Frankenstein's monster(Sorry a Picture of him is hard to come by!) The Vampire The Zombie aka The Swamp Zombie (^Also is in Scooby-Doo 2:Monsters Unleashed.. he pukes on a repoter) Mummy of Anka The Phantom Shadow(s) aka Giggling Green Ghost (Rarely known fact:In Scooby-Doo 2:Monsters Unleashed Giggling Green Ghost was to appear toward the middle of the film coming out of the monster hive that scooby-doo and shaggy mistakenly turned on. Other ghouls that were cut from the final movie are: The Headless Horseman of Halloween There was a scene that was cut it was in the monster hive toward the end of the film were Shaggy kicks off his pumpkin head and his body ran into a wall chasing after it. The Ghost of RedBeard His Ghost Ship is seen in the film but he was suppose to be shown steering it in the streets but his little cameo was cut because Warner Bros. didn't want people to confuse him with the Miner 49er. The Ghost Clown He was to be part of the film no one knows why he was cut but he is listed in the credits at the end of the film. The Creeper He was to be one of the main monsters to due the Evil Masked Figures bidding but his parts were cut because again, Warner Bros. didn't want people to confuse him with The Zombie. Also the Sea Serpent from the New Scooby-Doo Movies Epsiode titled The Lochness Mess was to appear in the scene were Captain Cutler's Ghost emerges out the lake near the ''Mystery Inc Club House in the woods'' but the sea serpent was left in the concept art stage for the ''then'' upcoming Scooby-Doo 3 as one of the main villains...however I hear they inculded the Sea Serpent in the upcoming Scooby-Doo:They Mystery Begins. There you have it!!!
  10. yes i do ......what i am planning for my kids is to introduce them to the peanuts before next year to prevent that "Shell Shock" - "Deer in head lights" responce.lol Same here! I'm going to do the same thing I want to introduce Snoopy and company to my youngest niece,My oldest( whom I adopted 2 year ago)she thinks the whole transformation of Nick U is stupid she'd rather have Scooby-Doo and Spongebob...ahh aren't kids great!
  11. Well to me the reason ''Peanuts'' work so well is because that's a Cedar Point/Cedar Fair thing while Scooby-Doo was a Kings Island,Kings Dominion etc thing. When I hear ''Cedar Point'' I think of coasters and snoopy when I hear ''Kings Island'' I think of The Beast,Scooby-Doo and oddly Nick U.
  12. I won't know until Kings Island gives us a list of rides and attractions in Planet Snoopy. But most likely if KI has something that fancys me I'll take my oldest cousin she is 11 I adopted her 2 years ago. Great Question BTW.
  13. I have to agree now don't get me wrong Phantom Theater was fantastic when it opened up in 1992 but the kids and maybe parents, grandparents, uncles & aunted like scooby better. My cousin was 6 years old when I started taking him to Kings Island and he wouldn't go into Phantom Theater at all so when I took him I would always have to pass on by PT...He called PT the ''Scary House"' For me I think kids can relate to Scooby-Doo I mean really it's their first look into the paranormal when they see scooby they know it's okay to be scared.
  14. LMAO! .... Good One! On another note.. Terpy, I was wondering why Scooby-Doo would go I was told that it was because of money reasons but that still left me dumb founded.
  15. Honestly, your opinion of Snoopy weighed a lot into that post. It's obvious you hate Nickoldeon because you called it's biggest television show ever on the network, "an annoying yellow sponge". I personally love Peanuts, it's a classic, but here's what I think many family's could say: "We were going to Kings Island, but the main area my child likes has been changed, and h/she won't be able to play with the characters h/she loves anymore. I think we'll hold off because my child will have more fun with characters h/she watches at home." Also many families think the rides their child loves will leave with Nick Universe and a whole new Snoopy batch will come in, even though this is incorrect. Not many of you have kids: I Do. Not being a smart ass, but the truth is kids do not rush home from school these days wanting to watch Snoopy, but they do to watch Fairly Odd Parents and Jimmy Neutron. My 2 cents on your post. We are not in the 70's anymore, Spongebob SquarePants and Hannah Montana are popular, Snoopy and Scooby aren't with the majority of children. I beg to differ with that end quote my kids adore Scooby-Doo he's on Cartoon Network and Scooby has a new cartoon series and movie coming out on the 13th no my kids don't watch snoopy unless it's a holiday but they clammer to scooby-doo just as they do to Spongebob.
  16. It will be hard next spring when I take the kids and scooby-doo won't be there my kids love scooby-doo that's all they watch on TV and DVD besides Spongebob Squarepants,ICarly but I'm very happy to see Snoopy come and am looking forward to seeing what Planet Snoopy Kings Island will look like.
  17. @t Raptor,I doubt it. Cedar Fair is tied with Snoopy and the Peanuts gang we all knew ''Snoopy and Crew were going to come sooner or later. Honestly I love Snoopy but I didn't know Cedar Fair would take Scooby-Doo away too it's just sad and not right...my "kids' would rather see Scooby-Doo than Snoopy. I never buy food in Kings Island at least I haven't since Cedar Fair has owned the park I always go to Burger King or somewhere else I don't like paying that much for food KI's prices are awful.I do buy stuff for the kids they always gotta have that Scooby-Doo shirt or plush,Scooby-Doo toy and/or a Spongebob plush with a spongebob cup/toy.
  18. Totally get what your saying Browntggrr... BTW I shop at Wal-Mart when I need something too.
  19. Yeah Cedar Fair is ''Heartless'' they don't care if Scooby-Doo brings a smile to your face and child's face .. all they care about is $$$. I do love Snoopy and I hope whatever replaces SDATHC is just as good. -Scooby_Doo who is a bit angry at Cedar Fair!
  20. Well I know people all the time ride rides that they shouldn't and therefore get hurt and then they want to sue.No when it first opened it was somewhat rough I dunno I haven't rode SOB this year and now can't.
  21. Thanks,Yeah I get it and understand ... it's rather sad when a company doesn't care about the guests that feed them the money they need to survive. With that being said ... What do you all think SDATHC will be transformed into? Do you think the castle facade will remain in tact?
  22. Aw,Touche!.. Yeah SoB has been rougher than usual and I know it's been retracked numerous times for me it's the coastercars man, those are painful I shake rattle and bounce in those.. kinda like how FoF used to be...I would like to see SoB in Spring/Summer 2010 because I haven't rode it yet this season and now I can't.
  23. I love Son of Beast but I do miss the loop and yeah it's rough but what do you expect a beast to be? gentle?
  24. That's just sad and wrong on so many levels! I guess I'll wait and see like the rest of you when Planet Snoopy's Ride and Attractions are annouced.
  25. Phantom Theater was awesome back in 1992 when it first opened and I enjoyed it but I do like and enjoy Scooby-Doo and The Haunted Castle way more it's more fun I can see Sally coming in and rethemeing it to Snoopy/Peanuts Sally can do just about anything.. Here are the Scooby-Doo Dark Rides I really Scooby-Doo GhostBlasters:Mystery of Ghastly Manor Scooby-Doo Ghostblasters The Six Flags St.Louis Scooby-Doo Dark Ride is so unique and fun..a lotta classic scooby-doo villains in this one that weren't in the Paramount parks ones like Gator Ghoul,Chinese Zombie,The Ghost Clown and Charlie the Funland Robot it's my favorite one besides Kings Island's and KD's...
