Coasterstock 2018
Back before they were removed, the ride grouping was Scrambler, Tiques, Dodgems. They embraced the acronym.

2018 Additional Events Announced
Granted I don't go to KI, but once per Haunt, but CarnEvil has the shortest line in the park, every time I am there, despite being the first Haunt attraction that you cross.

Kings Island 2018 Discussion Thread
It's hard to predict, depends on park availability for staffing. Since UC is done for the semester, they'll likely be fine. It was more of a problem when UC's Spring quarter ended in June. Some of the smaller rides in Planet Snoopy might be closed, possibly a flat ride or two. The big thrill rides are the last ones that they will close if they have to. During Math and Science Days the last time I was at the park (2010), I would come in around 10:15 as I got out of class at 9:50 and run The Vortex until noon or so when other people were available.

2018 Additional Events Announced
They were asking if they'll set up another Haunt in that room, which is where Carnevil was held. I would imagine, that if they tore that Haunt out and are investing money in that theatre, they will likely be using it for Winterfest, maybe a kid's themed show.

Steel vengeance wait time opening day 5/5
Depending on how long the line is, they will likely have an employee staffed at the end and shut it down at a certain point. I would assume that time would be 10 PM.

Steel vengeance wait time opening day 5/5
I'm going to guess 3 hours.

2018 Additional Events Announced
The last time I worked at the park, the backstage area still had all of the Hanna Barbara costumes.

Upside down? More like face down.

The Giga Speculation Thread
I'm glad that you have ruled it out 100%, but that has absolutely zero bearing on what the park is going to do. The park has reused a station before, so it wouldn't be out of the realm of reasonable. The station itself is not a large portion of the project budget, but it's a significant amount when you include the queue line, exit, photo booth, maintenance access roads, and the biggest cost, utilities. I don't think the park will use it for a coaster station, because I don't believe they'll install another coaster in an already cramped corner of the park.

The 1991 Dinn Coaster That Never Was.
That's pretty interesting. Very cool layout if it was an Airplane clone.

The Giga Speculation Thread
Tech Services is in the basement of the building, so they could in theory tear down the walls and roof of that building, and keep the floor as the roof for Tech Services, I don't think they will though.

Let's RMC Woodstock Express.

They are actually open for Math and Science day and they are fairly crowded. Just drove by on lunch.

Steel Vengeance to open in 2018 at Cedar Point
I would think the front would have more ejector, just based on physics.

Cedar Point 150th Anniversary Ideas (2020)
I would be really surprised if they added major coasters in back to back years.

Cedar Point changes for 2018
Firehawk's average wait at Cedar Point would be 3 hours on a weekday.

The Giga Speculation Thread
Cedar Point doesn't have the large demographic of people to pull like Kings Island does for seasonal work. Kings Island at least in the past, has had some International Workers. I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe that they are building dorms for them inside of the park. There are a lot of logistical/safety issues along with that.

The Giga Speculation Thread
Spirit Song is not a big enough draw to build a new theater. If they think that land is more valuable for expansion, they'll use it. I personally don't think they will.

Kings Island 2018 Discussion Thread
If I recall correctly, Arrow Coasters use an accumulator to keep the brakes closed, which requires the accumulator to stay charged. Other coaster companies use air pressure to open the brakes.

That's a plan I'd sign up for!

I believe that Boom is used for maintenance as well as potential evacuation on Invertigo.

Park Nitpicks
I wish they could bring back Days of Thunder. Those weeks in 2004 were glorious.

Are segways allowed in the park?
I would gather, no. I had never seen one when I worked in the park. Call guest services to be sure.

The Giga Speculation Thread
There are a lot of people griping about speculation in this speculation thread.

If Cedar Fair got another park
That Six Flags park was pretty cool, but the thing I think is the most hilarious, was when the park was at it's peak in 2005, a few friends of mine and I went to Geauga Lake for one day and were planning on going to CP the next day. We rode everything at GL in about 6 hours and ended up going to Cedar Point that night for a few hours as well.
