For reference, the last time I worked at the park. We would have 2 or 3 bathrooms per attendant.

The resident restroom expert is here. The bathrooms inside the gate aren't great, have you tried the ones right outside the gate? There is really nothing you can do to stay on top of the problem, aside from having someone at every restroom all day. Also, the women's restrooms are far worse, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

The Flight Commander pad was used for Eurobungee for quite a few years, then used for the water balls (or as me and my friends aptly named it Franklin's Geezus Gerbils), They also used it for birthday parties for Dinosaurs Alive. It'll be interesting to see if they tear that pad out, there is quite a bit of concrete there, between that and the old Flight Commander queue (which they use for garbage can storage in the winter). I was actually hoping they'd use that queue area for the line for the new Tiques. The Killmart building used to be another arcade.

I would imagine it would only help loading times, depending on the size of the pouch and if they are actually checking if the pouch is closed. I was at Disneyland earlier this month and a majority of the rides there have pouches if necessary (such as Indiana Jones, Soarin, etc) and it seemed to help. A big part of slower loading times are people running over to the bins to drop their stuff instead of getting in the car and sitting down.

If I remember correctly (this is going back about 10 years), yes, you manually release both sections. The block brakes (furthest from the station) were left open unless you had the button pressed down or if their was a train in the ready brakes (closest to the station).

It looks like according to this site, http://traffic.oki.org/, right in front of Kings Island it is 72,338 AADT. Can you supply your source saying it is 189,000 AADT, that seems pretty insane.

More often than not, if a train gets stuck in the MCBR before the corkscrew, the employee forgot to release the train from the ready brake or there was an issue in the station preventing the train in the block brake prior to the station to advance.

Three train operation, at least when I was working on the ride, was closer to 1200 an hour, I'm sure @VortexBFForever has a better idea. At that point, we could dispatch a train with the gate still open and there were no seat belts.

Quantity does not equal quality. Last year, IMO was the worst year for the Haunt. The houses were all practically empty, very few roamers.

In theory, you can dispatch a train on Vortex after the train in front of it has cleared the lift hill. This is very difficult to do. If you are in 2 train operation, you might be waiting for a train to come back to the station to load/unload, whereas in 3 train operation there is always a train in the station. If people didn't bring everything from their house to the park, the load/unload cycle would be shorter. Either way, I don't think people really care about sitting in the brakes waiting to go into the station.

I don't think the closing has anything to do with relocation. If it's being relocated, they won't need more than a few weeks to set it up, it's not a complicated install. The more likely thing is they 1) won't have to worry about staffing it 2) might possibly use that area for Halloween Haunt, or 3) they are planning on clearing that space out while the park is weekends only.

Typically yes. I'll give you some honest advice. Dress nice (slacks or khakis, button down shirt, tie, suit jacket is probably a bit overkill), be prepared to answer some math questions. I believe there was a math test in the past, not sure if they do it anymore. Even if food and beverage isn't your number 1 choice, it makes the path to get into another department down the road easier. They will likely ask your availability to be pretty open on weekends and if you are comfortable working long hours (if you are old enough to do so.) If you aren't available a lot on the weekends, you likely won't get the job.

I find it really hard to see them removing Gemini. It's two coasters and it eats people up.

Meh, until they actually start staffing accordingly it's the worst haunted attraction in the city. My friends and I generally go once, but I try to avoid the "white trash bash".

I think the lack of a new attraction certainly didn't help. A new restaurant wasn't going to generate much buzz, which is why it was swept under the table until the last minute.

The logo in the bottom left corner, somewhat looks like front of an AE train. Maybe Express is getting some work?

And I'll never go to Kennywood again.

I had taken a survey that described the ride and had a few concept photos. I can't find any of the photos, but here's the thread from this website in which it was discussed.

Rumor has it that they were originally going to be an Addams Family themed wild mouse type ride in that area.

The answer is somewhat. On most coasters the operator hits a button for empty seats. The ride automatically counts cycles. If I recall correctly, and this may have changed, but the attendance record was a Bring a Friend free day and I think the attendance was 68k and they did stop allowing entries.

We're not talking about schools, we're talking about an amusement park that has 1) had a shooting before and 2) has installed metal detectors to rectify it. They always tell kids in schools "See something, say something" right? If people just ignore things like this, something bad could happen. It's very similar to the bystander effect.
