  1. But in addition to it also serving as a breaking mechanism, correct??
  2. $150?....$170?!?!...how come mine was $140??
  3. Well, you are!! Would it be any less true than also saying you have a "coaster repertoire" (i.e. credit list!) Congrats on the recognition, btw, even though you constantly remind us it's us "little's" who truly make KIC what it is!!
  4. Avatar, scholarly information, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to respond and pass along the knowledge!! Much thanks again, and I hope the lower gas prices of the past few months have helped with your business and driving! (I remember around the time of KIC-The Second last August you mentioning how the high gas prices then were very unpleasant!)
  5. ^^Especially with HW being so close to C-bus (IN)!
  6. "I see a splashdown and I want to paint it GREEN!!"
  7. Interesting...thanks for the info! 275W is starting to get ridiculous! I mean, I know in Indy 465 on the west side has been going on forever, but 465 on the east side didn't take as long as 275 is taking, and 465 added multiple new overpasses and exits! Heck, an entire section of I-70 was completely re-built from scratch in only 8 months time! I forgot that I should have remembered that nonsense on 74 in Harrison, OH took years for only a small strip of road!
  8. I don't think this is Off Topic since it does relate directly to KI, but us "little's" have no control over the Mods! But anyway, since I believe you've said in the past you semi-frequently drive 74 from Indy to Cincy for business, I wanted to ask you how things look there road construction wise, and if you think there should be clear sailing this April and May? (or are there any signs for future work?) I know around the new Honda plant there's always minor stuff happening, and thankfully a lot of 74 resurfacing has already happened in the past few years, so hopefully the KI drive 74-wise should be good this spring and summer!! Also, what's going on with I-275 on the west side? I'm doubting major work has wrapped up, but do you know or foresee any major lane restrictions (like in years past), which might result in taking the Reagan to 71 again? I have a good friend in Landen who I usually see in the off-season, BUT given D-back I've been saving those visit "coupons" to crash there for later this year. Also, anyone else with any other knowledge about this particular passage way feel free to jump in!!
  9. ^Yes, that's "Lightning!!" (in that friendly speaker voice!)
  10. Now, the people being stuck upside down for a half hour+ on X Coaster I can understand, but this?!?
  11. ^^Yay for (finally!) Disney SeaWorld!!
  12. Rides don't have to be tall or scary to be fun. One of my favorite rides ever is Lightning Racer at Hershey Park. It is just plain fun. This is assuming riding Lightning, correct?? Otherwise, Thunder's a little too bumpy to be fun.
  13. And to think when I first rode FD as an 11 (?) yr-old, I was totally scared, nervous, with the heart racing and beating fast the entire time!! (while in a 3.5+ hr line when it opened in May!) Now...while I'm very excited to ride D-back, the pulse isn't even elevated, and even if going up the lift hill for the first time in the very back seat won't be either! But that vid was awesome, and thanks for posting!
  14. ^^Still, $75 is too much...I mean, a legit day at WDW is only a few bucks more!! I can't see this being a monster success.
  15. Whew-doggies, the prices are starting to sky-rocket on this bad boy!! At this rate, and it's still early, it looks like nobody is getting a first ride for under $200 at this point, and the first train will be over $500 as well!! So if Millennium Force first rides raised $35K, it will be very impressive if D-back beats that, especially in this economy!!
  16. Haha!! For this very reason I'll have my "Diamondback pack" in the car, so this summer whenever the weather outside is phenomenal, the office is half-empty and I'm in between park trips, I can always take off after lunch, and be rescued by my D-back pack, which will include a change of clothes, hangers, shoes and some other "park essentials" so I can go straight from work to KI, not waiting to pass Go or collecting $200 either. This pack will stay in my car the entire time like a first-aid kit, and be replenished as necessary, and I'm definitely expecting to use it more than just once this summer!!
  17. Welcome to the 2009 stock market!! A far cry from when I easily made hundreds each week day trading $1 stock's in 03 and 04!
  18. To me, I just don't find the B&M flyer trains comfy enough while I could ride Firehawk for an hour and still feel comfy. That said...the B&M pretzel loop is the best flyer element for sure, and Tatsu is far and away the best flyer in N. America!
  19. ^^Yep...although, Terpy's previous page pun was delicious-y Terpy funny as always!!
  20. ^^I'd love some light aircraft rentals!! Propelling above D-back with just a seat belt...sounds sweet!!
  21. ^^Terpy posting on a weekday in the early afternoon?? ...I don't like it!! I mean, I like Terpy, but the computer in brain produces a parity error!!
  22. ^^Sort of like guessing how busy a park will be on a certain day!? Edit to say: Mother's Day weekend...whew...usually that's a big deal for my fam, BUT...RWW is still the default anyway at this point!!
