  1. ^^Well, for me, I found Darien Lake's boomerange butter smooth!!
  2. I have to concur...NOT a beginners coaster at all!! Granted no coaster of any kind scares me now, back when I rode Nitro for the first time in May 07 (my first B&M hyper, but after having ridden everything at KI), I was intimidated! I turned out to love it! But to go from no coaster experience to D-back?? Umm...yeah, go for it!?! Are you afraid of heights? One of my ex-girlfriend's first coaster was TTD!! She claimed coasters didn't scare her, and she wasn't scared riding it at all, but everyone's different. I think just by virtue of asking, the answer is no.
  3. ^^Yeah, Jackson, it was just the excess land by CW that CF wants to sell... Having been to CW last year, on the north of CW across from Major Mac (a Montgomery Rd-esque road) there is a huge plot/parcel of land that CF owns, and which is completely unattached to CW and that's what they want to sell. CW itself is actually sort of landlocked, but the park is very spread out, so there's still plenty of space. But CF would never consider selling CW!! I know CWMania peeps were saying that as of last fall the Toronto real estate market was still good (and there is a lot of development on-going around CW), but that was fall 08 and this is spring 09...and things are worse now economically everywhere.
  4. Why, digging for gold to help pay down Cedar Fair's debt, of course!!
  5. ^^Well, I double-disagree...so there!!
  6. ^^Yeah...my shirts from Canada's Wonderland (Anvil) run small, but for KI (Gildan) they're regular size if not even slightly on the larger side.
  7. ^^Ohhh....just like KI ads never featured Thunder Road!! And either way, the voices are different...
  8. ^^It's ok...taking pictures of a closed park isn't exactly a good vacation activity anyway! So you didn't go through North Carolina, did you? i.e. South of the Boarder FEC with a Wild Mouse!!
  9. ^^I have to disagree...I think the voices are VERY different IMO... And btw, anyone with CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, etc. all saw the SF commercials a billion times last summer...so this wasn't in just SF markets...I'm kind of mad they removed the Night Row shots like they had in last year's commercial!
  10. Good PTR! I haven't been to MB in quite a while now! Btw, why no pics of a vacant HRP?? By chance do you remember the name of what mall this was??
  11. It's ok...on the SFA site, click Get Tickets on top right side, then click "Season's Passes", then at the very bottom after all the SP mumbo jumbo, right below the SP price is the PP price. I don't think the PP has it's own, like, web page if you know what I mean...
  12. A quick look-sey of the SFA website reveals, yes, you can get a PP there for $45!
  13. I've gotten some amazing airtime in the back on TTD!! Especially when having tons of lapbar space! For me, Kingda Ka...however, TTD is better...does TTD have the magnetic fins at the top like Ka does? But if you ever ride KK, I beg of you, please only do so in either the orange or blue train! At least for the past two seasons, both green trains have produced skull rattling and migraine-inducing vibrations! Worse than anything on either Maverick or Fahrenheit!
  14. ^^Kind of ironic, don't ya think?!
  15. So what happened?? Her group was detained by police, given written citations or warnings, and then released and when they did so the camera was recovered?
  16. I d*mn near fell out of my chair laughing when I heard this voice!! Once again, swing and a miss SF!!
  17. Seriously, my head hurts reading this thread!!! Magnum sinking has more plausibility at this point!!
  18. ^^No, but I was just saying that the SFStL SP pricing is similarly cheap to KK, BUT with the parking pass option! But I see what you're saying about the season, as I've never hit the suth'urn parks in Feb or March.
  19. ^^So you know for sure Giga got her's at SFKK, or was that just by deduction based on the pass price?? And btw, for the reasons Terpy mentioned, SF St. Louis is the way to go for a "Season's Pass"!!
  20. What is it?? As I've successfully both returned and exchanged merch at KI last year?? Also, Canada's Wonderland had tons of female merch in small sizes, including of Behemoth! So maybe there's hope!? And while I did get B-moth merch, I couldn't quite go for the "Big Coaster, eh?" shirt!
  21. What SF park was this?
  22. But in addition to it also serving as a breaking mechanism, correct?? With the weight and speed of the trains moving through that area, the water scoops are going to have minmal affect on slowing down the trains. When you are riding it, you will probably never any notice it. That one section will last one to two seconds and then you will be into the brake run so. I don't care about not knowing when I ride it, I was more interested in the operational functionality.
  23. As I believe Terpy has also expressed annoyance with...after YEARS of riding at this point, why do people STILL scream on the B&M flyers when you move to the flying position?! Does it not ever get old?!
  24. Ummm....sorry to be the voice of practicality here...but SFOG isn't exactly located on Peachtree Street!! You're not actually saving that much time, but hey, perception is reality anyway...
  25. ^^I know something that's worse....the low flying bees in the fall!!!
