Not anymore. GL's Oktoberfest was, like Winterfest at Kings Island, cancelled. In fact, the park now closes Sunday, September 17! You are mistaken, Oktoberfest is held each year in Sept, it is still on this year. Halloween Haunt is cancelled.

Cedar Fair loves to landscape, just look at the CP midways.

If you want to see beer drinking at an amusement park, go to GL's Oktoberfest. Beer everywhere!

Texas Twister does rule! Watching the midway become one with the sky is alot more fun then inside a box.

Also boneville will be the entire trip from CP to KI

If they do standard Cedar Fair policy next year, Gold Pass will be dead. Also, those metal detectors will probally be removed, thats what they did at Geauga Lake. if there generous they will give us a Joe cool club like at CP, which gives these perks.

Cleveland has kennywood bilboards all over the place, as well as tons of tv and radio spots. I have heard reports of GL signs in Pittsburgh area

Everyone gets that wrong. Parking at CP only cost $8.50! But to get there you must take either the causway or the chause which is $.50 toll. Instead of two toll barriers they only have one and combine the two to make $9. Look at a CP parking ticket, its on there.

CP is cheaper and thaey have 25 cent cotton candy! Also think of all the gas saved at 3 dollars a gallon.

Theres nothing like walking down the midway and hereing all of the games hawking away.

If its the Three point shoot out like they put in at CP and Geauga Lake, it will be up in two weeks. Assuming its the same game also the cost to play will be 5 dollars but people line up for it.

Sometimes I like going on a woodie just to get slapped around on. SOB though goes to far in roughness, but a smooth woodie is not a woodie what so ever. Wood coasters are mean not rider friendly like thier steel cousins.

Thats not a good idea, thats what six flags did to geauga lake and it ended up badly. Cedar Fair should wait a year or two before anything big.

Knowing Cedar Fair, Look for a Fright Zone in the future. For those who dont know what im talking about, FZ is just a normal midway that they load up on fog machines and have actors walk about. Also the ENTIRE park will probaly be open and not just a few areas.

It's in Maggie Valley, NC and still stands. From an observation tower up the road you can see parts of the coaster. I have pics somewhere, but dont expect them to be found.

Do they have any actual power or reason for existing, or do they just B h about wooden coasters being to ruff. They say there unbiased and KnowledgableASO about Thats like saying CBS cares for the Amusement industry.

I was going to go to americana, but it had already ceased operations. Same with ghost town, i actually was in the parking lot looking at it two years ago and looking at the coaster on top of the mountin, it was heartbreaking but i was able to go to nearby santa land.

Hopefully, Cedar Fair will replace the swinging bar with just the stick. getting hit with the bar occasionally hurts.

CP is 136 years old, and many people have died there in that long history. Now for modern times the truth is out there...
