That road is the first rerouting of Geauga Lake Rd. It use to go straght through where x-flight is, then reroute around x-flight. Finnally, it was routed around the parking lot and the road was truancated to a drop of circle before the old crosswalk. I dont know if its public anymore or is owned by GL.

Apperantly (sp?) some people over at pointbuzz dont belive that the loop is gone from SOB. Nor do they belive the photos.

X-flight is now literally flying

It hasn't been painted since they installed it, it has rust everywhere. If they don't paint it it will be an eye soar. I think silver and green would look nice and give it the ufo feeling.

Yes, it does. It's not uncommon for below freezing temperatures, especilly at night. Christmas at Dollywood is amazing, the lights, the rides, the shows make one excellent experience. Dress warmly!

The slides they bought are ok, they give a nice ride and are somewhat long. A good buy indeed for the Beach.

X-flight only runs two trains. Three train operation was problematic, so CF took the third train off and made parts out of it.

MiA under CF has already recived a used ride already, the dodgems from CP. If they got a used ride from CP, why not a used coaster from sister park GL.

Anyone else notice that T & T just said King's Island, with no P word. I find that interesting.

CP and GL have also gone to sticker only, I think its a CF wide policy now. This angers me because I took 3 different vehicles to each park.

The lights on the lift are missing.

Geauga Lake has enough space to expand for years. Even if they somehow use it all then they have a large lake in the middle of the park that could have rides built out over. If you go to maps.google.com and just type in Geauga Lake it will pop up as the first option just click it and just zoom in. Then click satellite in the upper right. X-flight is the coaster out on the west side of the park next to the parking lot. The photos are a few years out of date its while Wildwater Kingdom was being built on what used to be Seaworld. It is hard to tell from the photos just how much land is left because large sections of the Seaworld side are unused and the Geauga Lake side was in the process of having the old water park removed. But there is land available. Also from the photos you can see just how close X-flight is to a major road which is way we would all know the day something were to happen. Yes, Geauga Lake has tons of room, there is even land behind the parking lot they own. Also, all of the houses on Fairview Ave (the street behind shamu stadium) are owned by CF. The lake however is an intresting situation, it is debated on who actual owns it, and also the city of Aurora wont alow building on the lake (the bridge is a floating bridge and can be moved, thus it is allowed). Finnaly, Aurora has a 180 or 190 ft limit on rides on the north (rides) side, and it is belived that SF might have been sranted a 210 limit on a portion of the south side.

CP's Frontiertown is abouut 40 years old, and the ride that was on the spot where maverick is now was western theme for its 23 year life. It is only natural maverick gets a western theme.

I loved it! brought back many memories. But one concern, the centurian is missing.

The CPLE always runs 2 train on the weekends. Gemini remebers its a racing coaster, unlike The Racer. One thing that I think helps Gemini out is that it has one undivided platform unlike The Racer.

Cedar Point doesnt mail out their passes until febuary at least. I wouldnt be surprised if they do the same with KI.

SOB would look good in just spots, like Mean Streaks lighting. Vortex could also use a new lighting package, maybe like corkscrew's with the red lights in the corkscrews or some strobes. The tower must look cool now lit up, it looked cool during winterfest last year when it changed colors.

Mean Streak was the tallest, fastest and steepest wooden roller coaster when it openedin 92. Also wicked twister could only wish to be good as it apears in the photo. LoL! I like how he found out that a wooden coaster's ride differs from the front to the back. This guy needs to work on his stats, other then that, good article.

From the latest newsletter This worries me, it sounds familiar to what happened to the silver dolar cafe at CP. In the fall they advertised that you can now watch the game at the SDC, aand next spring it was game day grille. Is Festhaus going to become a GDG, I hope not.
