  1. Wasn't paying attention and thought the first one was an empty train. The 2nd one seems slower and much more dramatic though.
  2. I know they also replaced the fins on one train on Saturday. As we were standing in line for The Beast walkback, a couple of maintenance guys came by carrying a toolkit and two fins from a DB train.
  3. Very nice Is it just me or does the splashdown with people on it seem a lot slower and dramatic than the one with the empty train?
  4. No I didn't
  5. That train ride was great - particularly the strange looks we kept getting from the passengers on the car in front of us
  6. I'm the third "(blank)" in the back row of the group photo
  7. That photo is absolutely hilarious. I love the look of sheer terror on that girl's face.
  8. What about the music videos played in the queue for DBack? Every time I've ridden it I've heard one of about three songs - "Without You", "A Baby Changes Everything" and a hip hop video by a female artist (not a huge hip hop fan so I don't remember what that song is).
  9. "A Baby Changes Everything" by Faith Hill (in line for DBack) "99 Luftballoons" by Nina (as we were leaving on Sunday)
  10. The only official KI shirt I have is a Firehawk First Rider shirt. I wasn't able to get off of work to be a first rider on Diamondback.
  11. I'm in that photo as well. I'm the only one with a hat on
  12. How exactly do you do that? You're the second person I've heard of who's gotten over 100 rides on Diamondback (I forget how many the other person has - I'm sure someone else will remember though).
  13. I never thought of that, but it would definitely save them a lot of labor if they just give them away deflated. They could inflate one of each style to put on display (so people could see what they look like when inflated), and give them away deflated. They could possibly even make a small profit by charging to inflate them as you leave the park.
  14. I wish they'd just give them away deflated. That would put an end to all the annoying "bounce! bounce! bounce!" all the time (although it would also spoil the fun of trying to stick my foot in the path of the ball, thereby causing it to roll away and causing the owner to go chasing after it - something I was actually successful at once...)
  15. Time for some fun... Post your official Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend ride counts here - what you rode and how many times (if you can remember) Saturday Beast - 4 Back Lot Stunt Coaster - 3 Crypt - 1 Diamondback - 15 Delirium - 1 Firehawk - 1 Flight Deck - 1 Red Racer - 2 Scooby - 1 Train - 1 Vortex - 2 Sunday Diamondback - 4 Delirium - 1 Monster - 1 Spongebob - 1 Zephyr - 1
  16. I've seen a few people bouncing them. Fortunately they don't seem to be as popular as the basketballs.
  17. Just when you thought that game prizes couldn't get any worse than basketballs, KI has found a giant crane machine with giant bouncy balls as prizes. These balls are basically the same as the red playground balls you may remember from elementary school - only much much larger, with various designs on them. I'm not sure how many of these machines there are, but one is located at the entrance to the Coney Mall arcade, near DDR. I haven't seen too many of these balls around the park yet, but they're definitely more annoying than basketballs, especially due to their size...
  18. Not sure about the graffiti, but cleaning up the used gum in the final tunnel on Racer would be quite a chore in and of itself. Still, it would be good to see it gone. To prevent that from happening in the future, they should put cameras back there. Then they could fine people for putting their gum back there, and deal with the graffiti "artists" as current park rules dictate.
  19. Having ridden Diamondback 19 times this weekend, I noticed a couple of things on the right side of the first hill: A safety sign along the stairs saying something about "In case of evacuation ..." with an arrow pointing towards the top of the hill. A weather gizmo of some sort at the top of the hill.
  20. I had a blast this weekend as well and hope KI does more events like this in the future
  21. 22 for me now 15 yesterday and 4 today.
  22. I don't remember hearing "I Want You To Want Me" on the train... I don't have a problem at all with them playing music on the train. My complaint is the particular songs they chose - "Cotton Eye Joe", while fun, just doesn't seem to fit the atmosphere. I'd much rather hear classic country tunes, bluegrass and maybe even a few more cowboy tunes...
  23. Google Maps gives you a different route, but it also starts you in a different spot than Mapquest does.
  24. Local On Demand is one of well over a dozen free on demand channels. I highly recommend spending some time exploring the on demand channels, as there's a lot of good stuff there
  25. Thanks for the info It's channel 1111 by the way Also, for those who don't want to spend time hunting it down, both videos are under the "Things to See" category
