Bavarian Beetle
I've tried to search for pictures of some of PKI's old defunct rides, sometimes I can't even find them. Start with the obvious! Do a Google search for "Bavarian Beetle pictures" add "King's Island" to the search if it's too broad. You COULD try to do a Google Image search, but sometimes those aren't so successful. Then again, sometimes they do work. I doubt there are that many pictures of the ride, because if I recall correctly, it wasn't exactly a world class ride. Good luck searching...

Top Gun
All that stuff is Son of Beast - you CANNOT see Adventure Express in that picture. If it's wood and in the shape of a coaster, it's Son of Beast. End.

Parade?
To me at least, putting a parade in at PKI would be like trying to put a CD-ROM into a floppy disk drive...it wouldn't really fit. I think that I'd rather let Disney do those parade numbers. In my opinion, PKI is becoming a great family park, but I just don't see (a) parade(s) going well with the park. I'm sure that there would be many families that would sit on the street (if it was clean, not that it isn't) and watch one with joy. I'm sure that it would work to an extent, but I just can't picture having a parade at a park of that type.

LaRosa's
I live just south of Dayton (Centerville), and LaRosa's put in a new restaurant in just about a year ago, and let me tell you...every time I have gone there, whether it's for dine-in or carry-out, there's ALWAYS a wait. I've heard that they plan on adding a few more Dayton-area stores to see what happens. I think that PKI has greatly boosted the exposure of LaRosa's pizza around the area. I will say that without their connection in the park, they wouldn't be in the same place they are today; however the park is not the sole reason LaRosa's has become greatly famous... The pizza is great - it's unique and original. It will NEVER lose money operating at PKI.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was.

What's so great about Kings Island?
This is very true, however the reason I go to PKI is because of the coasters, so they get my vote. HOWEVER, PKI has dished out some kick-arse flats since the very late 90s, and I think they have really brought a lot of new people to the park. The employees are great, too. Without you guys, the park wouldn't exist!

Past Roller Coasters
I wish I could vote for The Bat, but like I said in another post, I was born in '87, so I missed the deadline. King Cobra was a revolutionary coaster - I'm still sad that it's no longer there. Hopefully, PKI will treat us with something else soon, though.

Roller Coasters
The second ride that changed the coaster world - The Beast. A signature attraction - not to forget the fact that it's still longer than 1759 roller coasters on the Earth. And to add to the fact that it's how many years old? Das ist was Ich dachte...

Best Ride in The OC
That would be really nice if they changed the restrains to lap bars. The thing is, since Arrow is now a psudeo-part of S&S, wouldn't they have to come in to recreate new restraints? I think it would be more expensive to bring in another great comany like Premier or Vekoma to install new restraints, though I'm probably wrong. Either way, just try to imagine what Vortex would be like with more open cars and lap bars...it would be amazing!!! Either way, it's still a sweet ride.

Best Ride
I'm torn between the first two. The reason I picked The Beast is because I think it is what has made PKI the great park it is today. Delirium is the best flat hands down and is PKI's second best ride in the entire park. I think that Delirium just doesn't have the same reputation that The Beast has.

Any word on a new sign?
Sexed up a bit....BA HA HA!!! They're definitely going to put in something that will turn heads from the highway. I don't think Cedar Point has a light-up sign of any type. I at least don't remember seeing one on the way into the park twice last year. I have to say though that their sign is pretty sweet with the lettering and stuff. It's really nice.

Son of Beast...
Magnetic brakes on a woodie? I suppose they could do it if they wanted to. Would it be expensive to install?

Old buildings on PKI property
Of course the park draws ALL of its water from the river...all of that drinking water is straight from the water hole!!!! I would easily assume that all of the consumable water (and all the water in WaterWorks/Boomerang Bay) comes straight from the city's line(s). It would make sense to me if PKI got their sprinkler water from the river - but is that legal? I know of hundreds of places that draw water from lakes and ponds (like at golf courses) for sprinkler systems, but I've never heard of an establishment drawing water from a flowing water source.

Son of Beast...
I think that this classification is up to the park - it's kinda subjective in my eyes. It does use the terrain, but not to an ideal extent (like Papa in Rivertown). Unlike the model name of a coaster, this kinda just depends and can be half-in half-out and people just have to accept it. I don't call it a terrain coaster. In my eyes, it's just a wooden-hypercoaster. Terrain coaster or not a terrain coaster - I say call it what you will.

Best Ride in HB?
Beastie all the way...it was my first coaster. I can still remember the days when it was a big deal for a kid my size to put his hands up at the top of the hill.

Think we are some of the 1st riders
Where is that one located? It's obvious it's not the one at PKI - I can tell by using deductive reasoning. But it doesn't look like a permanate fixture because of the dirt "floor" and crude construction set-up. Is that the one that is at PKI today?

What Old PKI Ride Do You Miss?
That was it! I also remember TONS of foam Nerf-like balls floating around in the water. I never saw it operate. Not once.
-
LaRosa's
Don't fix it if it ain't broke. Why change something that makes the park and LaRosa's eyes light up with dollar signs?

Old buildings on PKI property
That building on the left behind Racer that no longer exists looks like it is for the Wild Animal Habitat. It looks like there's a cleared area next to it that has a fence around it. It makes sense to me. Also, it looks like there's a large picnic shelter-type of building in the far back that I'm almost sure isn't there today. What's that for?

What Old PKI Ride Do You Miss?
This may be a far stretch for many people, but what was that one ride that had the tanks floating in the water next to the old potato-sack slide? I have that vivid picture of waiting in that long stairway queue sometimes and looking down on that wierd ride (if you want to call it a ride, I think it was a Pay 2 Play attraction...) The reason I ask is because it obviously went out when PKI installed Nick Central. It still bugs me to this day.

What is this?
Swinging Coaster? What the...? It's a suspended. If something is suspended, it can swing. I see why one MAY call it a swinging coaster, but that name is ludacris! The official model name is the Arrow Suspended Coaster. Calling it a swinging coaster is like calling a Corvette a dragster!
