2004 SHows
The park HAD a stunt show in Action Zone. However, they stopped showing it for reasons I don't know. I remember they used to use that watertower in the middle of the midway and they had stunt people do goofy things on it.

Festhaus Re-themed
This is true about it being full. Sometimes when I go with my friends on a busy day (like Saturday), it can be difficult to find a place to sit. The park already has enough places to play pay-games. There's a while strip of games and arcade games in Old Coney. I doubt the Festhaus will ever be totally removed.

Favourite Paramount Movie?
Since I either haven't seen the rest or it's been too long to remember them, I'm going to go with Forrest, too. It's a good movie, with goot plot. Hopefully, Paramount will be able to soon make more movies like they did in the 90's.

Scariest Moments
I (thankfully) do not have any scary moments to share. (Knock on wood...) I've never been in any type of amusement park ride-problem or accident...but the thing that scares me most of all is that it can happen at ANY TIME. Altough rides are designed to be as safe as possible, we sure as hell don't live in a perfect world where everyone dies simply of old age. If I ever am involved in a ride accident or the such, I sure hope to live to tell about it!!!

We aren't the only one anymore
Did it not also generate a lot of excitement? As soon as I saw the concept art for Delirium, I was peeing my pants waiting to go to the park to see our monster. I'm not at all surprised that we won't be the only park in the world with a Huss Giant Frisbee. Delirium rocks! And the stats can prove it!

How excited are YOU for BB?
The one thing I'm gettin' REALLY geared up for is Tazmanian Typhoon!!! I drove down to the park one day (it's a half hour there and half hour back...) on a Sunday since I had nothing to do...and that funnel structure was MASSIVE!!! I had no idea how huge that thing actually is...I may take another trip down just to see what it looks like with all the panels installed. If there's one water ride I ride all year, it's Tazmanian Typhoon...I'm stoked to the max for it.

This is sort of funny
All Fast-Pass/Freeway ride things can burn. I hate having people sign up for ride times and then coming back during that time, cutting into line, and making the people who actually take their turn in line wait. I don't think the systems are fair. Now I'm not sure if any of these systems are by charge, but if they are, that would probably make me a little happier. But then again, all the rich people wouldn't have to wait. Like I said, although innovative, all of these line-cutting systems can burn. I hate them.

How excited are YOU for BB?
Can you say lack of punctuation?

The Italian Job
They may have to. If I was in charge, and we were converting the park into a movie-themed entertainment facility, I would gut Oktoberfest and maybe make it into part of the old Coney, and retheme it. Of course, this would take millions of dollars and a long time and a lot of labor to complete. But that's if I was in charge, since I'm not... I think that Old Coney could possibly get an expansion. There seems to be a hell of a lot of room on the north side of the park like everyone has said. As for making a completely new area, I have no idea. I think PKI may have a hard time doing that and keeping this new area unclogged with people and making it large. I just don't know. My vote goes to the OC.

How excited are YOU for BB?
I'm pretty excited about it being a new area of the park, and I WILL go (I want to, at least), but I'm going to wait until it gets warm, and go with my peers. I wouldn't go by myself for sure. I'll walk around the place when the park opens at least, whether it's warm or cold. I think I'd like to check it out before I spend a day there (since I'm sure there's going to be a lot to do).

Any word on a new sign?
If the sign was built 32 years ago (when the park opened), then they probably (sarcasm) did not have the technology to build something that would wow us in today's world. I'm sure that if the park saw to it, they could do something REALLY spectacular, but like Steve said, a sign is a sign. The park sits on the highway anyhow, so it's kind of difficult to miss. In my opinion, a sign helps, but the park's overall success doesn't tread on a fifty foot tall light-up board. All I have to hope is that the new sign is unique.

Where in the park do you want to have sex?
I think anywhere in a public place with privacy would be sweet. When I say that, I mean like out in the middle of say, New York City, but have NOBODY walking around or anything. It's that feeling of adventure. Maybe I'm going crazy...but I think that kind of thing would be cool.

Could a new name be added to the Water Park?
I'll agree to this. It is WAY too much of a mouthful for me to say "Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay." I'm going to stick with the last two words of the title, no matter what ANYONE says. Maybe this is what the big March announcement is soley about...

Adventure Express
Boobkinos, I can understand where you're coming from, but like many other people, I do not see the spears operating. I did not say they don't work, I'm saying that the last time I saw them working was in the very late 90s. You may be right in saying that they do work, but I haven't seen them operate, and I watch them every time from the train just before it makes its ascent up the first lift hill. I remember the fog working several years ago, and I haven't seen it in operation. It probably works, too, but for the past many seasons, it was not on. I also recall the big guy at the top of the second lift (that is above you with the 'lava') that he used to blow hot air on you, but then again, this may have never happened and it could have been just me. In the few years, I have noticed acutal updates in the scenery of Adventure Express. From what I see, it looks as if the whole first tunnel was re-done within the past couple of years. Adventure Express is one of the most 'scenery-ized' rides in the park, and that's one of the reasons that I still ride it at least twice a day when I visit the park. It's just from what I see, things aren't the same as they were on Adventure Express from years ago. Changes may have been made to the way the scenery works on that ride, I don't know. I don't work at the park, I am just a paying customer. I see what I see, I don't always see what the park employees see.

3 SoB Trains?
If this is true, then the trains would have been REALLY moving when they flew into the station. My guess is that something else went on when they decided that the station belonged where it is now, cause I don't think I've ever seen trains come into a station as fast as they would have on SOB. It is a little dissapointing that they cannot run all three trains, it would help effeciency (maybe not, at least I'd think they could get a few more people through per hour, but I could be totally wrong.)

TOP GUN
Better pray harder. The styrofoam is quickly falling apart, even in places guests would never be able to destroy. Is it just me, or isn't that kind of the idea behind the theming? It's supposed to look like temple ruins, and if stuff does naturally fall apart to a point, it sometimes may look even better. However, I will say that after a while, it does start to look bad. As for fixing it, if they don't "fix" the ruins correctly, it could look worse that it did before - but then again, PKI probably has a multi-million dollar budget. Then again, time is money, and Tomb Raider isn't exactly the only ride in the park. I hope the do re-open the lower deck of Top Gun, man that was cool what they had down there. If they don't, it'll be okay with me, but what good is having that stuff if you're not going to use it?

New Rides
Yeah, is that not what park surveys are for? It's obvious that if the park wants to build something that people want or like, then they're going to do it to make more money. There are limits to size of rides, speeds, physics stuff...and not to forget, cost. The only way to do this is to get the reaction or opinion of the park's customers. A park isn't going to build something that people won't like or ride or use. That's called a waste of money.

Where in the park do you want to have sex?
LOL This thread is HILARIOUS!!! And just to think...I thought it was gonna get closed...

Tomb Raider: The Ride
Those Zamperlas DO look like the carnival-type. I would hate to ride in a cage like that. Those cages look like they don't even give ANY kind of a real flying experience like the B&M models do.

Festhaus Shows
To tell you the truth, I actually do remember that one. I never understood that show until I found out what Cheers was...THEN I made the connection. To support my statement, I still do think that putting on shows would do PKI good. Is it just me, or did they used to have a show on that water tower in Action Zone? Do they still have it? I haven't seen it lately (the past couple of years). If they did shows correctly, they I personally think it would bring in a lot more young families more often. That's just me...nobody has to feel the same way. I remember my mom telling me about how she would take me and my brother (when I was about 4 and he was 2) to the park and we would see as many shows as we could get to. I think that if PKI is going to make a big push to turn into a good movie park AND try to put more shows in like they used to, then they are gonna have to think of some good acts to put in.
-
Festhaus Shows
Ah, but new rides don't USUALLY bring in young families. Remember the parade thread? Yeah...THAT would bring more younger families in - not particularly a new 6000 foot 240 foot tall rollercoaster. If you bring in new families, then they keep coming back. THEN you see more of the big bucks and can get that 6000 foot long 240 foot tall coaster.

Concerts
Now THAT would REALLY fill the parking lot! They'd have to shut down the park for fear of breaking occupancy fire codes...

Festhaus Re-themed
I remember the good-old days when they had an ice-rink up where the middle screen was and they would put on shows all the time, or so it seemed. Man, THOSE were the GOOD old days!!!

Tomb Raider: The Ride
I can imagine that that'll be the only Zamperla Flyer that Paramount purchases. I've heard those coasters are very rough - I've seen pictures of the apparatus you get put in and those themselves don't look too comfy. Maybe some of the other Paramount Parks will get Tomb Raider-themed rides. Our own ride of this theming seems to be wildly successful with the customers - there's a line every time I visit the park. Maybe Carowinds or Great America will get a Tomb Raider-themed Huss.

Festhaus Re-themed
If they do retheme Festhaus and get rid of the clock, I'll never come to the park again!!!! I think they would benefit from refurbishing the inside...the colors are kind of depressing and it always seems a little too dark in there for me. If it just got a facelift, I would be really happy. I think getting rid of Oktoberfest is one of those things that may happen, but it's not the park's top priority right now.
