Here are some upcoming big movie titles that could become the next big thing at PKI. The Best of HollyWood Entertainment. The Brazilian Job : Stunt Track Sequel to IJ:ST Watchmen MI:3 Captain America Mighty Mouse Indaina Jones 4 I think we can all agree these movies will be big and they would also translate well to a big action thrill ride at PKI.

Here are a few questions to ask yourself. What Big Coaster Event is at PKI Next Year? What Will Be The Signature Attraction For This Event? Answers... Coaster Con XXX Answer to the second we dont know, but we can assume that IJ:ST or NU will not be the signature attraction. We can only agree then that 07 will be the next big, non family ride for PKI.

Yes but I can show you a lot of Tweeners that are able to ride almost every ride at PKI, but want nothing to do with them because well they are Tweeners. Thats why IJ:ST is a perfect fit for them. I have 2 nephews and a niece who are all tweeners and want nothing to do with The Vortex, beast, or racer, but absolutely loved IJ:ST. Thats why I think something like a DiskO is a good fit for Tweeners, but still I say it is a bad anchor ride for NU.

Yes, but there is also a lack of rides at PKI for kids that are to tall to ride the kiddie flats, but are too scared to ride the more thrilling coasters. Thats why PKI built IJ:ST and that is why we will see a DiskO or something like it. Hitting that target market of Tweeners. Makes perfect sense that a DiskO will go in, because it is another ride that bridges that gap for the Tweeners and their parents.

Its a decent ride, but in no way should it anchor the NU expansion. Its great to be the key attraction at the State Fair expansion at Dollywood, but in no way should it be the anchor for NU.

The peddals do absolutely nothing. Just like whipping the horse on the carosel. The ride goes no slower or faster. Like they would really want to let a little kid control the speed of the ride around the track, but the kids dont know the pedals dont work. Also has to be one of the hotest rides during the summer enclosed in that plastic buble. Hate that ride, but darn the niece and nephew love it.

Ok if Avatar is going to be a flat spinning wanna be coaster and it isnt going to be a DiskO, then what is it? If you say it isnt one thing, then give a description of what you think it will be. I think I can answer what it will be. Answer: its a DiskO with a hump in the middle of the track instead of the standard half pipe layout.

If you have ever seen or ridden a DiskO its pretty obvious that it isnt what you would consider a roller coaster. Its powered by electri motors and kinda falls in the same line as a ride like Demon Drop. I think the move to pull Avatar from RCDB is just more proof that PKI is getting a version of the DiskO. I enjoy the DiskO ride, but very disappointed that this is going to be one of the main anchor attractions for NickU

When you buy the SOB and people land on the space do you have to pay them because the ride is not open? Anyways the game looks awesome and I wish I hadnt forgot to pick mine up at WinterFest.

I think we all know Avatar will be a DiskO ride. Question is do you consider that a roller coaster or not? The DiskO at Dollywood is not listed on RCDB. That is why RCDB has removed Avatar from the PKI listing of coasters, they do not consider it do be a roller coaster.

The chili in bread bowls on I street were excelent and the turkey dinner at the Festhaus was pretty good also.

Where is my gas can? If you want to go ride some rides then head down to Disney or Universal or how about going out to Cali, but if you want to experience the magic of the holidays then go to WinterFest. Understand that PKI is not in to the year round opperations business, they are a seassonal park. Eventhough the park is having a special event right now, as we all know during special events there may be a limited number of open attractions, the park as we know it during the summer is closed, shut down, in winter rehab status. How can anybody on here make it any clearer? I know we could build a dome over PKI and heat the entire park to 75 degrees year round. That way we could all ride Vortex and Beast year round. PKI is not here to serve you and unfortunately during a family holiday event most people could care less about ridding TRTR or FOF, because those just arent that festive of rides..... Ahhh theres my gas can

If you really want ice slides, which I dont. How about building a Russian Ice Slide off the backside of the Effiel Tower. Could use the elevators to get people to the top of the RIS and then let gravity do the rest. I beleive I do not need to explain a Russian Ice Slide to this well educated group of PKI enthusiasts, but let me know if some of you may have questions.

Have you ever heard of "Tongue in Cheek?" Throw a little gasoline around and you get a big fire. Some people on this site take things so personaly and get all fired up. Some topics are worth it and some arent. You be the judge.

I will pay my money to visit WinterFest and also the lights at the zoo. Why? Because I enjoy Christmas, love the holiday atmosphere and have the money to spend on what I and others consider entertainment. I also like shiney objects and twinkle lights . Learn to handle opinions different from yours in a better way. After all you will not always be right, stand up for what you beleive and if someone disagrees with you make a case for why you are right, not why their opinion is stupid just like them.

If the dull lights are not doing it for you, I beleive you are attending the wrong event. After all this is to celebrate the Christmas seasson not to go to PKI in the winter and ride all the rides. Go get checked for ADD if the lights and the other attractions at WinterFest are not enough for you and also get a clue about the event.

Well to add some great insight to this topic. I will not support an organization that does not support all forms of lodging. Hell why I am at it I will not support an organization that will not support all Winter holidays. What makes Christmas so special??? I will not attend or be a supporter of PKI until they have a Qwanza festival at the park. Also why cant the Effiel Tower be a giant Minorah or Dradel? I hope everyone can sense my sarcasim and also thank you for your negative review of WinterFest, unfortunately it has not changed my mind nor do I think your opinion will change anyone elses here at PKIC, but thanks for the two cents and the fact that we will never see you post on here again about anything else related to PKI. Hope the time you spent was worth it.

I remember how much fun WinterFest was and cannot wait to skate on the fountain again. Will not miss it for the world

I just remember the Festhaus in its glory days and can only hope that it comes back to that form soon.

Heres any easy way to slove everyones problem. Smoke in your designated area at PKI and then we can all get along and live happily ever after. Oh yeah PKI needs to enforce this policy too so the violence between smoker and non-smoker doesnt erupt out into the park.

Yes B&M are wussies. You are an idiot for saying something like that. Have you ridden their mega coasters like Appolos Chariot or Nitro. How about the fact they revolutionized coaster design with 4 across seating never before seen elements and oh yeah, Inverted, Dive Machines, Floorless, and Flying types of coasters. Have you ridden Superman Ultimate Flight? Just because a company doesnt build coasters over 300 feet doesnt mean they are wussies. How about all of the other companies out there that dont build Gigas. Does the same go for them?

I think if it has a them then we wont get a long ride. Look at ITST and TRTR. Love em both and they both have great themes, but the ride times are very short. I just think 07 would be a great time to do another small family addition like a well themed flat ride and also add a new thrilling coaster. Wouldnt be the first time PKI did more than one major attraction in a year. Especially with the big CoasterCon I think PKI will want to offer something new and exciting.

Like I have said in various posts on here. If you want to tie The Beast and SOB theme together I think you make something big out of steel and call it The Beast Slayer. Just what I have always envisioned. I would love to see an Intamin Giga or even Hyper or even a B&M Hyper Heck I am willing to take a B&M Flyer and call it Flight of The Beast

Sounds like a good idea to me. Anything B&M and I will be thrilled, just dont build a new family attraction again. Dont get me wrong I love all of the focus on family attractions that PKI has done lately, but they need to throw some big thrills in too.
