Even More Firehawk Construction!
Well, I don't care what color it is, so long as it's new (to our park anyways) coaster.

Beast Construction Photos
Well, my mother, convinced me to ride The Beast. I was nervous, and I was a child who was scared to ride just about anything. (I waited until like 2 years after I was tall enough to ride Vortex, although SoB was my first looper.) As far as the ride itself, I don't remember much. This is due to the fact that I had burried my head into my mothers lap. She had to hold my head up to keep it from banging constantly on the restraints. Well, I was pretty much hooked from then on, although still very cautious about riding coasters. Now, thankfully, I ride every coaster I get the oppurtunity to ride.

Illnesses linked to stays at local indoor waterpark.
This was our first/last stay there as well. Well, no wait, my sister visited there with a few friends a couple years back. She said it was still as discusting, with food all over the room (Behind chairs etc) and what even looked to be blood on the wall in one place. Needless to say, this is not our favorite hotel in the area...We usualy stay in Blue Ash (at least that is the what I think the area is called) amongst the business hotels when we make overnight trips.

Illnesses linked to stays at local indoor waterpark.
Hmm...interesting. They put infasis on it being an air problem however. I remember a while back during a KI trip, we were staying at the Kings Island resort. Some bacteria thing was in the hot tub and gave my sister a pretty bad skin rash, kinda like chicken pox.

New Info On New Sob Trains!
Wait. Let me get this right, PTC Junior trains don't have underside running wheels? Are they like a side friction coaster? (I've been dreaming up my backyard coaster.) They have underside wheels but not side wheels. A flange on the main wheel like a railroad wheel takes the place of the side wheel. Anybody got a diagram or picture of this? And one that shows the exact measurements of PTC Junior trains? Also, I just got a response from the company that owned MBP, in reguards to the trains.

New Info On New Sob Trains!
Well, I did the same thing that "mbpavillionfan" did, and got this answer. That's exactly what the message said, and sorry for the order, but that is the way I copied and pasted it.

New Name, New Look, New Attitude, Same Great Place!
I just find the "CLICK HERE! WINNER! ETC!" ads to be annoying, but I understand that the site needs to be paid for, and I don't want to dish out money to enjoy KIC. Here's to the update! Hip hip! Hooray!

New Name, New Look, New Attitude, Same Great Place!
I L-O-V-E the new site, but I have one tiny little problem... Is there any way to choose the adds on the site, as in possibly not having the annoying "WINNER! CLICK HERE" ads? Also, could the add be moved on the front page to a less noticeble place? ...anyways, great job on the site! It looks fantastic! Thank you!

Ralph Stricker dies
"Bedevere: Quiet, quiet, quiet, QUIETA There are ways of *telling* whether she is a witch! Villagers: Are there? What? Tell us, then! Tell us! Bedevere: Tell me. What do you do with witches? V: BUUUURN!!!!! BUUUUUURRRRNN!!!!! You BURN them!!!! BURN!! Bedevere: And what do you burn apart from witches? Villager: More Witches! Other Villager: Wood. Bedevere: So. Why do witches burn? (long silence) (shuffling of feet by the villagers) Villager: (tentatively) Because they're made of.....wood? Bedevere: Goooood! Other Villagers: oh yeah... oh.... Bedevere: So. How do we tell whether she is made of wood? One Villager: Build a bridge out of 'er! Bedevere: Aah. But can you not also make bridges out of stone? Villagers: oh yeah. oh. umm... Bedevere: Does wood sink in water? One Villager: No! No, no, it floats! Other Villager: Throw her into the pond!" -Monty Python and the Holy Grail You see, by showing that Coney Island has no wood coasters, we can clearly point out one thing. The wood of the coaster would get wet, cleary proving that wood coasters at Coney are infact, witches. Thus, why Coney has no wood coasters. Oh, and eh, does anyone have any pictures of their own of the Teddy Bear and would be willing to email them to me?

Ralph Stricker dies
^I hadn't found the first one, but I had found the other two. Negative-G had some really good photos on their sit as wel. I even found a good POV on youtube. I can't find it now, but there was a site talking about that it had only top running wheels on the track, and nothing underneath, but I think that other pictures show that to be untrue. Thanks for the help!

Ralph Stricker dies
Strange request but... Does anybody have any good information or pictures (especially of the structure) of the coaster Teddy Bear at Strickers Grover? I've been looking high and low on the internet, and I think I've come to an end of how much info I can find for the ride.

Bonfonte Gardens To Be Renamed Gilroy Gardens FTP
My dad would like that, of course, assuming we were renaming Heinz Field. I don't think he'd want to have anything to do with another team in the NFL, and I agree. My bad, I was thinking it was Lucas Oil Arena because it is giong to convert to basketball as well. I must say however, it looks like an awesome sports complex. I like the construction camera they have too.

Bonfonte Gardens To Be Renamed Gilroy Gardens FTP
Heinz Field is more because the fact that Heinz ketchup/catsup is in Pittsburgh. But I agree that I am not a fan of selling names of stadiums to the highest bidder. Isn't Lucas Oil Arena being built in Indapolis? Oh well, helps pay it off I guess. "Toyota Island" Doesn't really flow off the tongue well...

Part 2 Sea World
I definetly agree with you on that discision. Although, really if given the oppurtunity, I would go to any Disney Park and not complain. Animal Kingdom is my second favorite disney park, and I was there the opening year (In the Florida sun with no vegetation grown up well yet, so no shade, and it was hot.) My uncle was a zoooligist(sp) down there, and helped with the animal part of the park. That is why we went down at that time. He now works for Barniman Bailey circus (Who's parent company owns Disney on Ice) flying around the world checking to make sure the conditions for the animals are up to standard. He also do to things that happend I guess, has an extreme dislike for Disney and says they mistreat animals. Who knows?

Firehawk too Much for Me
Well, the belts are attached to the OTSR and then the seat correct? Which means in the event of a restraint failure, there is a chance you won't go flying towards the ground, your just going to get beat around until it stops, right?
-
Firehawk too Much for Me
That's why I didn't ride Wicked Twister when I was at CP, a descision that I know regret. It's just the whole thing about facing straight down, and then...what if the restraint gave way??? Those belts really aren't that tight. This has been irrational fears with Jake.

Best seat on the Beast?
One the trip I made to KI this year, I had the privelege to ride The Beast 4 times. 3 in the back, and once in the front. The front had its good parts, but nothing compares to the out of control feeling I got from riding it in the back of the train.

Do You Collect Park Maps?
I like to pick up 4 or 5 when I'm at the park on my way out. Although, most likely, I'll lose every single one...
