  1. It seems that age has a clear advantage over beauty, Beast wins by 11 at the half!
  2. I like FoF's much better than the old ones. The old ones hurt incredibly. I am also about 6 foot.
  3. PKI does a good job with theming. I mean, look at Six Flags! Their theming on Superman was falling apart!

On opening day morning, I had to get up nice and early and take those dreaded ACT's. The whole test when I wasn't thinking about volcanoes and collectable coins, I was thinking about PKI. Well, at about noon we were released and I want to get to PKI ASAP, too bad the parking lot was... well... a parking lot. Every student taking the test was released at the same time, and the exit was clogged. 15 minutes later, I'm on my way to PKI. That was the first sign that I'd be sitting and waiting. Well I arrive at the park and as I drive up and see rides running, I feel like a giddy school girl about to see a boyfriend she hasn't seen for 5 months. I enter the park and realize it's about 1 and I still haven't eaten lunch yet. I stroll over to Oscars and *GASP*! I see Jeff Siebert! He is chatting with a couple people at the table, so I don't bug him. At least I now know he really does exist. I munch on my food and drink my Coke / Root Beer (they had Root Beer in the Coke slot). I hurry out to Beast and check in with my crew and head on out for my first ride of the year... ZEPHYR! I had to say hi to my old crew, so Zeph was my official 1st ride of the year. The paintings are very good looking now, flowers really stand out. After that I head over to FoF, but considering the line is 1 hour, I just go in the exit and say hi to the peeps in there. Doing this I notice that FoF station has new lights and it is darker in there. Well I head over to my current crew, and get a ride on Eagles. Yeah, I still can snap. As I walk over to Beast, I see some of the new signs. One has ride stats, one is about how it keeps getting rated one of the top 10 wood coasters in the world, and the last is about the guy who's ridden Beast over 4,000 times. Well it turns out that it was closed, so I go into the arcade for some DDR. The RvT DDR machine's left pad must be broken cause I failed Twilight Zone, something I never do. It would count holds, so I knew something was up. I play one more game on the right side, and it works perfectly (B on CSFIL Speed Mix Maniac). Well after playing CSFIL Speed Mix Maniac, I need an Icee (the unofficial drink of DDR players everywhere!). I walk over to CM and get one. Since I hadn't ridden a coaster all day yet because they all have long waits, I go to Racer to give the seat belts a test spin. I wait... and wait... and wait... It took me at least a half hour to get on. Other than the wait, it was fine. Seat belts DO NOT affect air time. I had never waited so long to ride Racer before. That was the second sign of sitting and waiting. At this point I have about an hour left, so I go back to Beast to get a ride on that before my shift starts. The documentary was not running in the queues. The station has more signs though, like, "CAUTION: The Beast seen in area!" And they have 6 new signs along the station that you walk under to board the train, "Ignore the screaming" "In the woods..." "Everything is fine!" "Last chance to escape" "The wrath of" "The Beast" Also the roaring sound effect is loud! It sounds more like the station is falling apart than a monster roaring though. The have it timed pretty well though, it only went off once while I was in the station. Well with 15 minutes left until my shift starts, I board the train and as the train leaves the station I tell my crew, "See you in 5 minutes." I shouldn't have said that... The train begins the trip up the first lift, and then it stops. The music started playing at that moment, so I thought it might have been part of the new theming, but it wasn't We realize that Vortex isn't running either, and as far as we can tell none of the other coasters are. Here I am halfway up Beast's first lift, and I have to start work in less than 15 minutes. My supervisor comes up the lift and tells some cheesy jokes to the other guests. If you read another TR on this day, you know why they all stopped. I did get a nice listen to the new music though, it just kept looping the whole time. It sounds TRTR-ish to me. Well, that 5 minutes turned into a half hour. Well, I get back and start working. Since this TR is already long enough, here's a summary of what happened the rest of the day: 1. Paint chips were flying into the station onto me and other employees and guests. 2. Heard my first dumb guest quote of the year. I over heard a guest watching Eagles while I was running it, "It doesn't have seat belts, you don't need them! You have that thing to hold on to!" 3. Got my first night ride on The Beast of the year. And when the train is actually moving, the chain drowns out the first lift's music. You can only really hear it when you are next to a speaker, so it fades in and out as you go up.
  5. If you can make it down nest weekend, go then. Easter weekend has a reputation for being nice and empty. If you can't, try coming on a weekday during summer. Stay away from weekends if possible. Also, check the weater. If they predict light showers, that would be a good day because most people wouldn't want to go even if it's just barely raining.
  6. *coughFANBOYcough* The park can never do a great job with every aspect. The park does as best it can though. I mean, look at AE. The current theming is nothing compared to the original theming, but they do keep adding some of the old details that they can.
  7. We started off with 64 different PKI attractions, the voters of PKIU have dwindled that number down to 2. These are the two best attractions in the park. So what are the 2 final attractions? One is new, and one is a classic. FINALS! #2 Delirium (AZ) VS #1 Beast (RvT) Delirium wasn't even supposed to advance to the final four, but it did, and it is now in the finals. Here is how each attraction got where it is: Delirium's match trail: Round 1: #15 Timberwolf, 7-1 Round 2: #7 Congo Falls, 5-2 Sweet Sixteen: #3 Face/Off, 14-5 Elite Eight: #5 Adventure Express, 8-4 Final Four: #1 Eiffel Tower, 8-5 Beast's match trail: Round 1: #16 Dodgems, 8-0 Round 2: #9 Coney Mall Skyline, 7-0 Sweet Sixteen: #5 Racer, 16-2 Elite Eight: #3 Tomb Raider: The Ride, 10-2 Final Four: #2 Scooby's Haunted Castle, 12-1 While Delirium had the harder path to the finals, Beast had the better overall score. Beast won by at least 7 points in every match, including 2 shut-outs. Delirium on the other hand already has taken out one PKI landmark attraction, the Eiffel Tower. Voting for the tournament will end at approx 9:00 Monday night.

    1. This should be in the polls section. 2. I wish they would bring back 007. That REALLY fits in with the new hollywood thing. 007 is still my fav AFXT movie.
  9. With just one day left until preview day, here are the halftime results! In the battle of old school VS new school, new school has a very slim lead, only winning by two votes. The battle of the big kids VS little kids is a landslide, with the big kids winning by a whopping 10 points.
  10. Just PM me with who you want to win each match. Voting will be finished at approx 9:30 tomorrow night.
  11. Sorry, this has been in the news, and on these forums for some time now, we already know!

The tournament started with 64 PKI attractions, and 60 were knocked out by votes from PKI frequent visitors and employees. Only four remain, and those four now take on each other! Before we announce how the areas are set up for the Final Four, the results of the previous round: Action Zone / Oktoberfest Finals: #2 Delirium ends #5 Adventure Express's hopes of being a cinderella attraction in the Final Four, 8-4 Coney Mall (previously eliminated) / Rivertown Finals: #1 Beast eliminates our most heavily themed attraction #3 TRTR, 10-2 Hanna Barberra Land / Nickelodeon Central Finals: #2 Scooby's Haunted Castle wins in the only upset of the Elite Eight, beating #1 Runaway Reptar, 8-4 Boomerang Bay (previously eliminated) / International Street Finals: #1 Eiffel Tower gives the rides department every attraction in the final four, defeating the last non-ride attraction, #3 International Street LaRosas, 11-1 So how were the areas grouped for the Final Four? Just as the matches in the brackets were set up so the extremeties (1 VS 16) and middle attractions (8 VS 9) played each other, so are the areas. Action Zone and Boomerang Bay are at opposite ends of the park, so the prepresentatives from those areas will play each other, and the representatives from the middle areas will play each other. So here are the Final Four matches! (AZ) #2 Delirium VS (IS) #1 Eiffel Tower (RvT) #1 Beast VS (HBL) #2 Scooby's Haunted Castle The winners will be announced after the parks opening day (April 3rd) at approx 9:30.
  13. Good catch, I missed that. It might've just been the shock that my old ride got knocked out, lol. BB and Coney are out, the rest still have a chance at having the best attraction.
  14. How did the tour guide get "borged"?
  15. Just wait until you ride with the belts. Airtime will NOT be affected as far as it looks. They are retractable.

I hope you are talking about FearFest from 2 years ago, last year was awful!

Here they are, the results of the sweet sixteen voting, and the last two attractions in each bracket go at it for their bracket title! Action Zone / Oktoberfest #5 Adventure Express knocks out the first #1 attraction, SoB, 11-8 #2 Delirium keeps on rolling, beating #3 Face/Off, 14-5 Coney Mall / Rivertown #1 Beast slaughters #5 Racer, 16-2 #3 TRTR's past mechanical problems don't have much an effect, beating out my personal favorite #2 FoF by just a single point, 10-9 Nickelodeon Central / Hanna Barberra Land #1 Runaway Reptar beats #4 Wild Thornberries River Adventure in a match that was back and forth the whole time, 10-9 #2 Scooby's Haunted Castle pulls a commanding win over #3 Beastie, 14-5 International Street / Boomerang Bay #1 Eiffel Tower wins big against #4 Down Under Thunder, 15-4 #3 International Street LaRosas keeps the food department hanging in there, beating #2 Surfer's Paradise, 13-6 Before the Elite Eight matches are announced (even though you should already be able to figure them out), I would like to thank the 19 people who voted in the Sweet Sixteen round. That is more than double the round of 32. If even one of you did not vote, we would've had 2 ties, and would've caused me some trouble getting tie breaker votes in again. The 2 matches really came down to the last person, the scores were 9-9 as I opened the last PM. Well, here are the division finals! AZ/OF Final: #5 Adventure Express VS #2 Delirium CM/RvT Final: #1 Beast VS #3 TRTR NC/HBL Final: #1 Runaway Reptar VS #2 Scooby's Haunted Castle IS/BB Final: #1 Eiffel Tower VS #3 International Street LaRosas So far, the only area knocked out of the tournament is BB.
  18. Halftime Update! We have a couple close matches, and even an upset in the works! #1 SoB is known for getting a lot of trash talk thrown its way for being rough, and now it is taking a hit because of that, being tied with #5 Adventure Express at the half. Last round, #4 Wild Thornberries River Adventure had a shut out, and it is trying to keep that streak rolling, as it is tied with #1 Runaway Reptar. Yes, two #1 attractions are in trouble of being knocked out in the Sweet Sixteen! We also have an upset being a very good possibility, with #3 International Street LaRosas beating #2 Surfer's Paradise by 4 points! I would like to thank everyone who voted this round. So far this round we have had 10 people voting, more people than any round yet. It's only halftime!
  19. I've seen that before. I was considering posting it myself, but I never got around to it. It is a very cool pic IMO, even though it isn't allowed.
  20. As the elite eight finishes up in the NCAA tournament, we being our round of 16! These are the 16 best attractions in the park! In two days, we will be down to the best 8! AZ/OF #1 SoB VS #5 Adventure Express #3 Face/Off VS #2 Delirium CM/RvT #1 Beast VS #5 Racer #3 TRTR VS #2 FoF HBL/NC #1 Runaway Reptar VS #4 Wild Thornberries River Adventure #3 Beastie VS #2 Scooby's Haunted Castle IS/BB #1 Eiffel Tower VS #4 Down Under Thunder #3 International Street LaRosas VS #2 Surfer's Paradise Once again, PM me to vote!

Halftime Report! Day one of round one had very few usets, day two had several. Round two is right at the middle, with many ties! So far we have 4 tied games! #5 Adventure Express and #4 Drop Zone #6 Top Gun and #3 Face/Off #5 Racer and #4 Vortex #12 Paramount Theater and #4 Down Under Thunder We also have one upset in the making! #6 Flying Eagles is beating #3 Tomb Raider: The Ride! You still have one more day to cast your vote and give your favorite attraction a spot in the Sweet Sixteen!
  22. Ah, I just stopped looking at that topic when it just became, "Yeah, another park got theirs updated." "Oh look, yet another park." Spring Break? Rar, I have one week left...
  23. I actually did not see that post. Nice find on the site!

Welcome to round 2! This time, all 4 brackets will be voted on during the same time period. Before the brackets are announced, the results of the NC/HBL and BB/IS brackets! NC/HBL #1 Runaway Reptar shut out #16 Atom Ant's Airways, 7-0 #9 Ghoster Coaster continues the winning streak for the #9 seeded teams, beating #8 HB Carousel, 4-3 #5 Top Cat's Taxi Jam rolls over #12 Sky Tours, 5-2 #4 Wild Thornberries River Adventure sinks #13 Fender Bender 500's hopes of winning, 6-0 #11 Green Slime Zone wins an upset in the battle of the slimes, defeating #6 Slime Time Live, 5-2 #3 Beastie rips apart #14 Alley Cat 500, 7-0 #10 Flintstone's Bumpers pulls off an upset against #7 Busytime Grill, 4-3 #2 Scooby's Haunted Castle beats #15 Baba Louie's Buggies, 6-1 BB/IS #1 Eiffel Tower towers over #16 Didgeridoo Falls, 7-0 #9 Awesome Aussie Twister wins in OVERTIME, beating #8 Great Barrier Reef, and causing every #9 attraction to advance, 4-3 #12 Paramount Theater has the biggest upset of the first round, beating #5 Carousel, 4-3 #4 Down Under Thunder melts #13 UDF, 4-2 #6 Sharky's Eats wins the iron chef battle, beating #11 Mandarin Cuisine, 4-3 #3 LaRosas gives food 1/4 of the bracket, beating #14 Bondi Pipeline, 5-1 #10 Snowy River Rampage freezes #7 Crocodile Run in its tracks, 5-1 #2 Surfer's Paradise puts on a show for #15 International Showplace, 5-2 And now, here is Rick Bitale with a end of round analysis: We have upset city here baby! #12 Paramount Theater advancing to the round of 32? That's unbelievable! It is now the only entertainment attraction left, so it has a lot on its shoulders! Food also is making a nice stand! The food conference has three teams in round 2! In the NCAA tournament, 2 #1 teams were knocked out in the second round! If that will happen in this tournament, I would have to say the attraction with the best chance of losing is Son of Beast. Every other #1 seed won with all of the votes in their first match, while SoB gave one up. Not only that, but its next challenge is #9 Viking Fury, which shut out #8 Skyflyer 8-0. And what about that overtime match? That was awesome baby! Thank you Ricky B. Now lets get on with round 2! AZ/OF Bracket: Round 2 #1 SoB VS #9 Viking Fury #5 Adventure Express VS #4 Drop Zone #6 Top Gun VS #3 Face/Off #7 Congo Falls VS #2 Delirium CM/RvT Bracket: Round 2 #1 Beast VS #9 Coney Mall Skyline #5 Racer VS #4 Vortex #6 Flying Eagles VS #3 TRTR #7 WWC VS #2 FoF HBL/NC Bracket: Round 2 #1 Runaway Reptar VS #9 Ghoster Coaster #5 Top Cat's Taxi Jam VS #4 Wild Thornberries River Adventure #11 Green Slime Zone VS #3 Beastie #10 Flintstones Bumpers VS #2 Scooby's Haunted Castle IS/BB Bracket: Round 2 #1 Eiffel Tower VS #9 Awesome Aussie Twister #12 Paramount Theater VS #4 Down Under Thunder #6 Sharky's Eats VS #3 International Street LaRosas #10 Snowy River Rampage VS #2 Surfer's Paradise Remember, PM me with your votes. And please try and vote in every match!
