Kings Island 2016 Discussion Thread
And the park has ASKED that things that it originates (like Tweets) include a link. The TOS does, too.

Before the new computerized elevators, such problems were seldom seen. And be careful. *I* *WORK* in DC.

Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
So, the required monthly financial statement has been filed with the Court. Newspapers there say the park is making money. Nope. In June, the park showed yet another loss. Higher revenues does not mean profit. It may. It may not. Here, it did not. The park's debt increased. Again.

Nope. This is where the California delegation was assigned. Many were already not at all happy about it.

Shades of Green is neither owned nor operated by Disney. The United States of America owns and operates that area. It was originally leased from Disney, but no longer is.

Why Hasn't Anybody Built A Wooden Hypercoaster Yet?
Money, money, money. Risk, risk, risk. Better ROI spending on lesser rides or other things.

...but it isn't to be eaten by an alligator whose dangers the park chose to ignore or at least trivialize.

Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
I believe it is only open Friday to Sunday. So if it happened on Monday the earliest it would be noticed is Friday. No security on days the park isn't open? At all? Houses in the park and no one noticed? Really?

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
Fortunately, Cedar Point offers fantastic coasters like Magnum XL-200, Maverick, Raptor and Blue Streak, while Millennium Force draws many out of what otherwise would be their lines.

I've never answered that question and I won't be.

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
Of all the coasters I have ridden, Millennium Force is, for me, somewhere near the bottom. Great view. Nice first drop. I'm not into mere speed. For me, negative g's, strong laterals and great pacing make a roller coaster. Millennium Force has a nice view. This is why I also don't get Voyage. At all. I'd rather ride a tricycle down a gentle hill. Raven is much more my style. Or El Toro. Beast. But Millennium Forceless? I prefer Mean Streak, of which I am decidedly not a fan.

Screamscape has picked up the "the park is making money" story. Revenue? Yes. Profit? Uh, no.

Camden Park: The New Sensation
The park had just built Shivering Timbers, had sound management and what was seen as great potential, was near Cedar Point (relatively), had a good waterpark, and sold for what Cedar Fair saw as an attractive price.

Either way, it will be interesting to see if she can and is allowed to complete the program.
