Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
So I was told that the Instagram page of KI was deleting comments about a giga coaster on one of their pictures, so naturally I was curious as to if it was true or not. I posted this: I waited and was told it got deleted. I went to check and found this: Why would this be happening? I have heard that mine was the 7th post alluding to a giga that was deleted. *Disclaimer* I did not delete my own comment and nothing inappropriate was put warranting this deletion, as you can see Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok, this may be a little off topic, but I looked at one of my first posts for this thread, and I predicted a triotech dark ride! I also mentioned something about a Mack multi launch, which is still a big possibility, but now I'm completely on the giga bandwagon. It's really crazy how other people and facts can change your opinion... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The only reason I wouldn't think it would be there is because that place is already mobbed with people. Why add another attraction when it already has trouble keeping up with the crowd?

I completely agree. KK and HW have both been drawing away at least some of KI's park goers with their new rides and KI, although they just got Banshee a few years back, need a new ride, most likely a coaster, to respond. Most everyone here is saying they want this coaster or that coaster isn't coming because of (reason). Let's be honest, whatever the attraction is, whether it be a log flume, a flat, a giga, or whatever else, the majority of people here will ride it. I trust KI is going to put in what they think is best to the park. Now on the topic of the actual ride, who says that work isn't going on somewhere else? Coney Mall needs more people and would be the best place for a new ride. Who says the entrance to the ride won't be there. They have that whole dinosaur theatre are to work with, and it could be done pretty inconspicuously. As someone said, maybe they are doing all that stuff around Rivertown to revamp the train. Maybe the trees are being marked and cut down for a different reason. Or maybe this is all wrong and they are doing what most people are speculating about and building an attraction where the teasers are. Whatever it is, the people at KI know what they are doing. There are bunch of complaints about location, etc. We must remember, the people in charge are professionals. They have everything under control.

I don't feel like KI would get a hydraulic launch, especially with Mack or B&M as (as far as I know) both have only used LIMs and tire launch. I have (on other threads and very early in this one) said I would love if we got a Mack or B&M blitz coaster like Maverick is one of my tops. It would be a great coaster, probably better than a giga, but in my opinion, it is much harder to market to the GP. A giga is the safe way to go, but a small, multi launch, blitz coaster would fit the best. Anyone know if Mack launch coasters are as intense as Intamin? And are the launches on Macks and B&Ms as intense as Intamin? With these small coasters, they would kind of need to be or else they lose their whole purpose really. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He later said in the comments he has since changed his opinion. He has only been to the park once and made a 5 year plan before he ever stepped foot in the park, so I usually just ignore him because he has no idea what is going on. I take partial responsibility for that because I told him more about the park and about this thread lol

Welcome! And I was just wondering why you believe there is a lack of evidence? And is it lack of evidence for a roller coaster or just a ride in general?

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
There are 2 things keeping me from saying wooden now: 1) This coaster looks LONG from these pictures (I could be wrong) and I don't think the next wooden roller coaster KI would get would be spread out like this 2) Why would you put a massive, terrain-hugging wooden coaster next to the most legendary example of this? One is an event Two is a coincidence Three is an occurrence Unless it doesn't open for a few more days, I'm just attributing this to lack or workers or just mechanical problems. For the new ride (if it even is a new ride) I'm on the giga bandwagon, but I would also love to see a launch. Could Mack or B&M possibly make a compact, fast, and incredibly intense launch coaster like Mav or ispeed? I know Mack has made Helix and Blue Fire which are great, but they do not seem as intense as the Intamin ones. I have never ridden those two so I may be incorrect (which I probably am since I've heard how great Helix is) but that is just what it seems like to me.

Yes, but there may be a lot more done that we can't see due to being hidden by other trees. Plus it's still rather early on. I was thinking this before but I thought you guys would think I was crazy, but do you think they might actually get a strata? Like, first conventional lift, non-launching strata? Because to me, it won't be much longer before B&M will do this. I personally think it'll be a giga, but once you get to the 380'+ mark, why not just go all the way?

Anyone else see a perfect layout for a giga here? I know someone put Fury 325 here, but you don't see how real of a possibility it is until you see this. If they expand like this, I could see a giga go out of the station into a turn around, up the left, down, flying into a massive banked turn, fly around the forest with little hills to show its speed, into a unique element (like Fury's over 90* turn but different) flying back down with maybe a few large airtime hills, then staying low to the ground, flying into a bunch of insane turns and dives and small hills (maybe even underground at some points) before flying up one more airtime hill, into the brake run. I could see them really utilizing the forest setting by having the coaster hug the terrain and fly past trees and even into tunnels. I would love it to be a bright color to really stick out, maybe lime green or bright yellow. Ideally, it would be the worlds longest coaster, but I know that would be very expensive.

I feel like it would be way to early. Footings aren't even laid yet. Track wouldn't be made now just to sit for 4ish months. They'll wait until just a little before they start building the track to actually make track.

There are a couple posts prior that show that Fury 325 footprint actually does fit. It's a lot more space than it seems

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
That'd be awesome if you would do this, but it'll be a good amount of time until track starts being made (that is, if it is even a B&M, or actually, even a roller coaster!).

Any bright color. Green would be my favorite. Maybe resembling the bright green that is in the color scheme of Fury325 That's the exact green I was thinking of actually. It would really stick out and force people to take a look.

Really random thought, but what color do you guys want/what color does the park need. I think a bright green color that really sticks out would be cool, especially if it is a giga Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone think B&M might experiment with, perhaps, a multi launch, blitz coaster? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What about Woodstock Gliders? I know it's not necessarily a thrill ride, and it may be in Planet Snoopy, but it is, in essence, flying eagles, which I believe was considered an adult flatride.

What other coaster types are still in it? We've mostly been talking about a B&M giga, a Mack launch, a GCI, and an RMC, but what says that we aren't getting a wing coaster? Maybe a floorless? Gerstlauer Eurofighter? I think a dive coaster is out of the question because Valravn, but the others still seem like fair play Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Honestly, there are only a few places with a low distribution of people, one of which is in Coney Mall by Vortex and WindSeeker. Every time I go, that place seems the most deserted. We must remember, if it a giga, it can have an entrance and go all the way past everything (flying past The Beast and Diamondback) all the way out to the markers and coming all the way back. Even though there are markers out there, it doesn't mean the coaster can't start somewhere else. (Look at The Beast and, to a somewhat lesser extent, Diamondback). Plus, even if the entrance is by Diamondback, 2 B&M coasters can handle the foot traffic better than pretty much everything else in the park Imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm sure it could get up to at least 300 feet. Even if it couldn't, they valleys would help in getting a 300 plus foot drop. Also, is there a chance that this coaster may have a B&M roar? I love it and I would lie if I said I was only a little disappointed Banshee didn't have one. Is there a noise law that restricts this at KI? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The issue is going to be cost. It would be the most expensive ride Cedar Fair has ever built. Fury 325 was $30 million and it is 6,602 feet long. The record is 8,133.2 feet. That extra 1,500 feet is going to be 5 to 10 million dollars. Still cheaper then the $50 million Steel Dragon 2000 cost but I doubt it will happen. I agree it would be incredibly expensive but Cedar Fair seems like it's been in the game of spending money recently, with Gatekeeper, Banshee, Fury 325, Rougarou transformation, and Valravn all within the past few years. I feel like the most expensive coaster would either go at CP or KI, and CP already has a giga. Plus, it would be a great advertising technique if they somehow incorporate the story of The Beast into it. (Yes, I know Son of Beast comes to mind, but I think B&M would make a bit of a better coaster).

I fully believe, do to this post completely, that there will be a giga. It may be "the tallest giga in the world" and I feel like it would be nice for it to be the longest roller coaster on the world, kinda to pay tribute to The Beast Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
