If you've ever tried to do impressions of classic ride voice recordings, you might be a Kings Island addict. Don't even try to tell me you haven't tried "now youuu will paaaay".

^malem and I have a giant message thread (by giant, I mean we're on 16 pages now)  between each other titled 'Holiwood Nights' back from when I was contemplating going either last year or the year before and 95% of the message thread is not about HWN except recently while we're getting plans to go this weekend.

if you've worked at KI for 7 years and still love visiting on your days off...

...and riding your favorite ride over 1,000 times in a season in the meantime :P

If you're counting down from the time winterfest ends to the time KI opens again, and keeping entertained on KICentral (me lol)

I wish I still had photoshop. It would be funny to do The Bat logo in Top Gun font and make the actual bat-animal logo look like it has little jet motors on its wings haha!

Checking the webcams almost everyday and just stare at them wishing I was there!

Ha! that brings back some great memories as a kid. My grandparents lived in Woodlawn when I was growing up and there are some great road hills there. I'd be like faster, faster from the back seat and my grandma would gun it a bit over the hills for that classic dropping stomach feel!

When you rename all your Google devices after KI.

You’re the one everyone at work comes to for KI info and theme parks in general…..Doesn’t help when you wear your KI 50th jacket to work either.

...are going to Kansas City in June for 8 days to be an AP Exam Reader and are already planning out which Kings Island gear to wear.

When you can relate to how other population centers feel about their local theme parks. Such as when I visited Worlds of Fun in Kansas City last year.

What Kings Island is to us, Worlds of Fun is to them.

Wonder about what employees think are their favorite parts of park that guests cannot see or enter.

  • if you find a new plant and start telling everyone you know
  • if you start playing rock, paper, scissors on the drop of any ride
  • if you act like your asleep on a ride
  • if you pose for the picture every time you ride
  • Finally, if you have done any of these things before (I may or may not have done these before :P)

Cornerstone, which is the employee cafeteria, is probably one of the coolest things I experienced as an employee. One of the most memorable things I did was ride on a parade float during Carnivale.

There aren’t that many "cool" backstage areas—most of them just look like office buildings. Some of the storage areas are interesting but also kind of creepy. For employees who have been there a while, you can get your license and are allowed to drive in the park on the back roads. That was probably one of my favorite things to do. It was amazing to be able to drive a car under The Beast, Diamondback, Orion, and Banshee.

I was a super privileged line cook and probably got away with more than any other cook. I don’t know of many cooks who were able to drive in the park—usually, that’s reserved for warehouse workers, supervisors, and team leads.

Hearing Jim Cummings' evil voice anywhere else and instantly thinking about FoF.
