Had 2 excellent food items today.  The Mounds of Meatwich sandwich was excellent and the Apple Crisp Cheesecake was fantastic!!  Keep it up Chef Perez and Team!!!

 

So was the chili offering just a fake or does it really exist and if so where????

I think I liked it as much as the Shrimp Sandwich from The French Corner, and that says something.  That Shrimp Sandwich has been my #1 food item of the season.  I would like to see them keep the Meatwich around at the French Corner, maybe as a French Dip.

The Shrimp Sandwich was one of my favorite dining options this summer. It's amazing how good the food really is at Kings Island, and how few people talk about it.

I am hoping since they remodeled and added the bar that they will be open more often moving forward.   There were countless times we went over the summer that they weren’t open.

I had the same experience with French Corner closed often during the week. But the bars around the park were usually open so hopefully because they added a bar it opens daily moving forward. 

I enjoyed the Undertaker Trifle at Sweet Spot.

 

So I got Coney BBQ tonight using the single meal pass. The person at the register said that drinks aren't included in the single-use dining plan even though it clearly says in the app that it does. Did they change it without updating it in the app or was it an error on their part? I did not have this problem when I used one two weeks ago.

I suspect what might have happened was that they misinterpreted my plan as an all-day dining plan, because they said I needed to upgrade to the premium dining plan to get a drink. Wouldn't the system tell them that was not the plan I had?

Sounds just like not complete training.

Probably. I mean, it was just a drink so it's not the biggest deal in the world. I was just baffled a bit because this was never an issue I had with the single meal deal before. I only get food at the park a couple times a year, so that's why I elect to buy the single meals and it's nice that it comes with a drink too, something you don't get included with most of the all-day and season dining plans.

Good luck trying to get hot chocolate tonight, several machines have went down tonight, I tried 3 times and all 3 times no hot chocolate. It’s a travesty on so many levels that all of International street has no hot chocolate period.

I would like to say I was impressed with one of the chefs at French Corner today. They took our order we got the fall special the tomato soup and the open fsged grilled cheese. Well apparently they were out of soup as apparently it's made in a different location. The chef came out to apologize and offered us free cheese cake for our wait. We did get our food finally but I appreciate him going above and beyond.

I had that Meatloaf Burger on Saturday and they should have that all year long. It was really good! 

If you are choosing to dine at Coney BBQ during Winterfest, I EXTREMELY recommend the apple cobbler. Regardless if you have the meal plan or not, it is 1000% worth the upcharge. 

I think it’s time to give these the “WooHoo!” Sticker.

Yes. Quite good. 

The Meatball Hoagie at Prancer's Pizza (International Street LaRosa's) is substantial and one of the better dining plan values with five meatballs on a foot-long hoagie roll. Very filling.

Definitely!  Our son had 2 tonight.  One at 5 and one at 9:15!

I tried last night at 9:30 and they were out. I ended up getting the smoked sausage, but I am not posting the photo (although I did take one.) I would be moderating the thread the next 8" days. You can find it in the WinterFest 2024 gallery if you wish.

I found the Turkey Ball to be a ton of shredded turkey and not enough stuffing.

I did wishbone grill.
Pork sandwich and loaded potato soup.

Sandwich was made fresh, grilled hot, and was a good portion of pork. Sort of plain… and the apple sauce didn’t really hit.

The soup was very good; I’d get again.

Confused why you say w/ meal plan? You can't use your meal plan for this. The cost covers everything.

Going off the average price of a meal at ki is 14.99, it would make sense to me that the intention is you get $15.00 off the price but it counts as a "meal" on your meal plan.  Just my guess.
