I guess we'll see what their new season pass structure is going to look like next month when the 2025 season passes start to go on sale.

Many would not like it if they changed The Beast to Goliath or The Racer to The Bosses.  They'd still do the same thing, though.

What's funny to me is that people still cling to The Italian Job Stunt Track, when it had that name for two years. It's been BLSC for 15. But it will always be The Junkyard Coaster to me!

I'd be willing to crack a Six Flags over Coney Mall joke, but that's been gone for about 10 years now.

I know the population density on the east coast is large but I have a hard time believing that Six Flags America will last in this new chain.

^I don't buy that.  I drove that distance last summer doing my trip and SFA definitely has the DC and Baltimore markets to pull from comfortably.   DC and Baltimore to KD, HP and DP are a hike.  

I'm taking the patient approach to all this.  I'm nowhere close to the doom and gloom approach a lot of the KI fanbase is taking, especially knowing that CF higher ups are still mostly in control of things.   I'm choosing to be cautiously optimistic for now.

If you look at how most people view SFA compared to other parks, the reviews are not great. Not saying it needs to be axed but I’ve also heard that the land value is pretty high.

^I take enthusiast talk with a grain of salt anymore.  I believe in the 'those who know don't tell and those who tell don't know' approach. A lot of enthusiasts are 20-somethings who aren't privy to the whole picture of things and cherry pick one or two things to try and predict something without taking in the wider picture.  

I'll believe it when I see it, but I'm not putting much value into predictions with the initial high emotions a lot of enthusiasts are having at this early moment in the merging process.   Heck, I don't even consider MIA or Great Escape on the chopping block yet either, it's too early to predict anything like that IMO. 

It looks like the Six Flags App theme has been updated. It will be nice to have all the parks in one app in the future.

I like that all the Six Flags parks are in the same app. Just a better app overall than what the former Cedar Fair parks have. More engaging, better content, easier to navigate.

Yeah, that just makes more sense. Though I did recently update the KI app and it does have some nice improvements at least.

I'm sure it will go up at least a little but when you consider how cheap the All-Park Passport is, I don't think the pricing is based on the total number of parks but rather how many you are likely to visit in a year and how much you're willing to pay. The average passholder isn't travelling all over the country hitting other parks and the company knows that.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but why would anything change now that SFA is owned by the same parent company as any other park in the area? Assuming the parent company is operating their parks competently, they can either survive in the presence of other parks or not.

Agreed. They can keep the CF Passport pricing and include all SF parks, and attendance won't meaningfully change. The number of people going to multiple parks in one season is relatively tiny.

As a marketing dude, I’m curious to see what they do (if anything) as far rebranding efforts. I’m not a huge fan of the current  CF branding and I could take or leave Six Flags as a whole. But this could be a fun opportunity for a logo/branding refresh. Specifically while keeping each park’s individuality highlighted a bit. No name changes, though. Six Flags Ohio has a now troubled history and wouldn’t want to see KI change too much. But I can see it now…

I think we'll see a hint of their direction going forward when announcement season arrives and 2025 passes go on sale.   I'm watching the original Six Flags parks with a lot of interest, I think it's going to be an opposite situation of what some enthusiasts believe- rather than the Six Flags parks dragging down the former CF parks, the CF style will uplift the Six Flags parks.   How they handle the parks that are in close proximity to each other (looking at you SoCal and Philly) will be interesting to see play out as well.    

Something I've been thinking about is how long CGA will continue to operate, and if the merger will accelerate the closure process.

I would assume KIC would fall under this as there is video content produced from time to time and the basis of the discussions?

How many of these has this site "violated" recently....

Is this new "policy" retroactive or moving forward....

Will the TOS be updated to reflect these changes....

Does this policy apply to FB sites....

What is the "enforcement" - is it simply not invited to media events and the like or do they ban folks that violate it as if it is a park policy?

So are you saying that "content creators" can come to KIC to post publicly available documents and give their opinions, good and bad? Would this be a loophole for them, or would kic face the wrath of the parks?
