Land clearing in front of the park

The area is now flat and gravel - could it be parking/staging area for the equipment and performers coming in to Timberwolf?

I was thinking this. Maybe a place to park tour buses? This way they are parked behind the locked gate, and not out in the parking lot.

It's looked like this for a number of years. They typical store bike racks in this location for parking lot events. (Robbie Knievel, walking/running events, Haunt, etc)

Why are people so in love with a gate coaster? I like that KI doesn’t play all it’s cards up front. You know what’s inside-you don’t need a coaster screaming over the front door to build excitement. I

It is obviously a hint for a new motorcycle themed attraction that goes upside down

Agreed, agreed and agreed!

Replace pavers in Tower Gardens.  Remove the Junkyard Coaster.

Which coaster is the Junkyard Coaster?

Pretty sure they're referring to Backlot.

Ok so at the park today I noticed a Timberwolf sign with an arrow pointing to the new smoking section on the left.  There was another sign there (larger) pointing to the left.  My guess is the "clearing" they are doing is for Timberwolf only guests to go through a metal detector, go to the left through the large wooden gate and walk to the left side of Timberwolf.  Seems like the smartest thing rather than installing new metal detectors and having an extra security crew.

New for 2022, expanded bike rack storage!

In all seriousness, did Kings Island say at one point that they were going to be doing parking lot improvements in phases over the next few years? My guess is that they are working to clean that area up in general because of the concerts and that area getting more foot traffic after the toll booths were moved. The markings are probably for digging for new drainage systems and new pavement. 50 years of parking lot run off has definitely taken a toll on that area. The area closest to the park entrance is also kind of unsightly with old Columbia Road just disintegrating away down there. Probably time to do something with it after 50 years!

I would like to see a dedicated electric vehicle parking/charging and bike/trike parking area.

That is right up there with increasing the number of recycling cans (for those not paying attention the number of recycle bins in the park has been declining to almost non-existent right now....look at all the drink plan cups going to the landfill)....

I'm sure we'll see it in the coming years, if not now.
