I'm actually considering this. Like every year, I think about getting the meal plan, but I never do. However, the price on the drink plan is easily affordable .

Once I saw another guest do something incredibly stupid because of a football he won at one of the games... I guess he threw it out of The Beast train when the ride took out of the station.  When the ride was over for our train, he somehow hopped a fence and went under the track to get the ball right when a train was released. It was so, so stupid. Fortunately karma got him, it is much easier to get into The Beast's enclosure than to get out. I got to see him escorted out by security and employees.

Yes. You can get an idea for what it will look like by checking out the websites for Cedar Point, Kings Dominion, Carowinds, and California's Great America. They've all already been upgraded.

There's a KI Snapchat up right now, with a lieutenant from KI Police talking about open interviews next week for KI Security. 

Its kinda interesting to see where they reposition the webcams at.  I'm sure they're still be a Mystic Timbers webcam.

Exactly what I thought the other day: using the process of launching a new website as a cover story for hiding testing. Good job, Don.

with regards to websites.  domain configurations have changed and have more flexibility.  Some ad agency in Toronto, Canada has kingsisland.com...  To have a more contemporary look and have all the parks in alignment they should do:

• www.kingsisland.online
• www.kingsdominion.online
• www.carowinds.online
• etc...

they're available.  just a thought.

They have ride videos, or at least they used to, on Sheikra. They would show random clips throughout the course of the coaster then showed the parks with the guests.

As long as it doesn't end like Banshee video, this could be really cool and another reason to buy FunPix, assuming it works with the regular FunPix.

I'm pretty sure it never made it passed testing. I think they had a problem with saving video iirc

Passed Kings Island today, and decided to stop and see. Vortex was testing and WindSeeker was hanging a little bit in the air. The Bat, as stated above is hanging on the lift. Photos (all taken in legal areas):

I heard Vortex running in the background on KI's Snapchat Story. If you thought I was excited enough even on Saturday, multiply that by a lot of times and you have my current excitement level.

It looks like they're testing the Eiffel Tower elevator from what I can see from my backyard.

IF KI ever wanted to get more people into season pass processing before the park opens. Follow Dorney Park idea. This is a great way to benefit a local food pantry and give a benefit for season pass holders.

So, I haven't read any of this thread. Keeping that in mind, I wanted to comment that I just saved $61 on the gate price of Kings Island and Cedar Point by purchasing their Coaster Combo tickets. I had planned on season passes this year, but by the time I went to do so, they were out of my price range. Plus, I most likely will only make one trip to each park.

I saw this online today and it made me grin from ear to ear. Just around 15 more days left!

was checking today, and realized we are now in weather.com's 15 day forecast window for preview day.  Obviously weather patterns will change as we get closer, but as of today, they are calling for light rain and a high of 61 on the 14th.  In a non-scientific prediction, the 14th is Good Friday and as a Catholic it feels like it rains on Good Friday about 75% of the time.  Hopefully this will be one of those 25% years with no rain, though it wouldn't hurt my feelings if it rained all day then stopped right about 4:00 pm.

Long time lurker here...but I finally joined up.  Had a handle a bit last year but lost my login and couldn't retrieve it.   I'm no enthusiast, but love KI and can say this is the kind of ride they need...not record breaking but it just looks like so much fun.  Hills, theme, the shed gimmick...pure fun and I can't wait to check it out!

Woodstock Express, the beloved John Allen designed roller coaster is to closed at the end of 2017 season , and rebuilt with RMC track. Don was quoted to say that "it is a great coaster that needed more thrilling inversions , because little kids love inversions ! "
