The Internet has led many to believe that historic photos, facts, etc., are all out there, remaining only to be found. That frequently is NOT the case. Records are destroyed every single day, and that

  • I love the off season.  A time analyzing dirt piles and rampant speculation.  Carry on.

  • Probably digging up green Intamin track they've been hiding from us.

I'd assume its "nothing" that far back, could be some site work to keep that hill from sliding down onto the access road back there.

It honestly could be the building of a new greenhouse, maintenance shed, something related to operating the park but not for guests exclusively. They could be smoothing out that land for that.

Maybe our new shiny giga will have track going over that patch and that just happens to be the first ground area cleared for it  :P

That far out, with no real possible path getting to that type of area unless a certain station/now Haunt Attraction was cleared. I highly doubt it's anything for us specifically, but more for maintenance or as other said a greenhouse, or whatnot.

Don't forget that this is an area of the park that isn't really "used" per se. They could be borrowing earth for elsewhere..,

Can't imagine a coaster in that area; the station would have to be at X-Base because of heavy traffic if they put it by Banshee.

I will say it now, Wolf Pack will not be back this year, at least in it's current location. Just my prediction.

From my own experience, and commentary from others who I've asked for opinions, Wolf Pack wouldn't be tremendously missed if it didn't return.

Seems to be the case with nearly half of the current lineup of Haunt attractions...

As for the "land clearing", they've used that area to aid in leveling areas for both Diamondback and Banshee, so it would be of no surprise to see them doing the same for Project '16/'17.

Nevertheless the land clearing is fairly interesting, much different from the dirt piles that used to be there as they just cleared those piles of dirt out.

I imagine that Boddha hit the nail on the head. Most likely the soil was good for fill dirt around the new funnel cake building or the soccer/basketball sites or even as fill for new park entrance ramp.... Hey look over there! Another pile of dirt!

You're goal kick must have to be preceeded by a 200yd length sprint.

(Please dont ruin my joke and actually measure the distance via satelite :P)

True, but that is a lot of dirt for rivertown.

Your [sic] not far off. About 270 yards from the nearest corner of the SOB station, according to Google Earth. :P

jcgoble3, who just had to :)

It's quite possible that it's dirt that was dug up from Rivertown and around the new gate and placed out in the field rather than dirt coming into the park. I love how we get excited over dirt and rocks! I guess it's a " dirtversion "

Maybe they've been watching Gold Rush and decided to run a test pile?

If this WAS for anything, it would have to be 2018 or later!

This is definitely a giga. Confirmed.

A giga diversion, inversion, or just a giga pile of dirt? Because surely if it is a giga coaster and you are confirming, per TOS you must disclose your source. ...dippin dots guy is not a credible source.lol

Why?

LordSkippy, avoiding a one-word post.

I heard they found all the track pieces for The Bat, and they bought all the coaster heads back and they're going to rebuild it. Moving Vortex as well..

At least... That's what Mr. Dippin' Dots said.
