February 12, 201610 yr I suspect that, on crowded mornings, a person will be stationed even at the passholder lanes to get cars through efficiently. It's quicker to hand a pass to a person than to figure out a machine, and some cars definitely will be in the wrong lane. When the gate doesn't need to operate at full capacity, an automated system would allow for more lanes to be open.
February 12, 201610 yr I have a question regarding applying to work at the park. I applied back in January and haven't received any notification as to when they want to interview me for a summer job. Not concerned, just curious. A more appropriate thread : http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/31714-2016-jobs-at-kings-island/
February 13, 201610 yr Apparently, even though it is still missing from the main website, Fast Lane will be returning. Someone asked in a Facebook comment on Kings Island's post about the parking tolls, and they responded "Fast Lane will be available to purchase in advance online prior to your visits, or when you arrive at the time."
February 13, 201610 yr If you have a Cedar Fair Platinum Pass you just drive through the tolls and present your pass. I believe there is a dedicated lane or two for passholders...pay attention to the signs on the building.
February 14, 201610 yr I just noticed StartSkydiving.com is listed as a sponsor on the visitkingsisland.com website. That's new, isn't it?
February 14, 201610 yr Yes it is. I myself noticed that a couple days back. Is it a chain-wide sponsor I wonder? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

February 15, 201610 yr But see Florida. Can't read the article via normal means without registering an account, which I refuse to do. So I instead opened Firefox's Inspector and read the article through the source code. That's what sites like guerrillamail.com are good for

February 15, 201610 yr Mis-typed the domain. Two r's, not one. Much better! Looks like I may get some use out of that. Thanks!
February 17, 201610 yr 60 days until opening day! Is anyone planning on going to Kings Island in those 60 days or so? I plan to be at the Passholder renewal event. Just to clarify, passholder preview night is for people who renewed their Gold or Platinum Pass by a certain date. (Wanted to clarify for the site spectators) Edited February 17, 201610 yr by Infinity
February 18, 201610 yr I PROMISE I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN!! Now then... It's getting colder and colder outside. But the good news is, it'll warm up a little bit this weekend. That's a sure sign that Spring is just around the corner! That also means that we are now less than 2 months away from Opening Day at Kings Island!! How many days to be exact?? 59!! February 18, 201610 yr Since it's Thursday, how about a little "Throwback Thursday" to a time where Beasts and Diamondbacks ruled Kings Island. In modern day, both The Beast and Diamondback will begin operations on April 16, the day of Kings Island's Opening Day, which is 58 days away!! Original pic: https://instagram.com/p/BB8Nv1mOOMm/
February 18, 201610 yr I love following Don and his crew on Instagram! Oh, how things have changed from the days of old.
February 19, 201610 yr Hmmmm. While I don't really wanna bring up this argument, wouldn't today mark 57 days remaining? (If we say that on April 15th we have one day remaining) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
February 19, 201610 yr According to my count, which lined up when KI officially announced 100 days, yeah, I'd say you're right about 57. I've enjoyed IAmABanshee's posts too much to quibble about it tho
February 19, 201610 yr Sorry if this already being discussed, but does anyone know what this is for? It's by Diamondback's final helix. https://www.instagram.com/p/BB8yj9LOONq/?taken-by=kingsislandpr

February 19, 201610 yr I saw that too and posted under the Project 2017 forum. If you look closely, one of the stakes says "Big Bend" or "Big End" or "The End" or something similar.
February 19, 201610 yr Looks like BIC or B/C END to me Very interesting that he tagged it #NewFor2016 which makes it unlikely to be anything major - if it were, and coming in a couple/few months, they'd probably have said something before now.
February 19, 201610 yr True. I can't imagine that area being a resting spot with shade and soft drinks either with a coaster roaring over head. Hmmm very puzzling.
February 19, 201610 yr I was just looking at the webcam at the area under Diamondback. There are vehicles and workers over there, and to me, it definitely appears to be a new planting bed for landscaping.
February 19, 201610 yr Kings Island owner breaks attendance records in 2015 http://www.journal-news.com/news/news/kings-island-owner-breaks-attendance-records-in-20/nqST7/
February 19, 201610 yr I wouldn't mind a water feature in the middle of the helix, with some nice vegetation and places to sit down there.
February 19, 201610 yr Before they used that water/pond area for Diamondback, was there anything that used that pond such as a ride or something? Thanks in advance!
