  • The thing I like most about this coaster is probably something many haven't noticed or may have overlooked. It has nothing to do with the track, trains, elements, launch etc. It has everything to do

A few observations- 1. LSM launch 2. Like the interaction it has with the launch and first inversion around the area and then has a part that finishes with a terrain section, nice. 3. I'm surprise

Truly did anyone expect Holiday World to spend $22 Million? That is twice as much as any capital expenditure in the past. The potential reopening of an SLC will not be much competition next year. B

Hmm. B&M and Intamin are both in Switzerland. But Mack is in Germany.

I wonder what Ed Hart will be doing then.

I hope he nearly hits the ceiling.

I also wonder what Mr. Dan Koch will be doing. And Mr. Bruce Lunsford.

I'm funny like that.

I believe Mr. Dan Koch will be ending his evening at Alabama Splash Adventure. Probably checking on the status of Rampage or planning new attractions for his park for 2015.

This...any ideas? I got nothing.

VP of Operations Chris Kearsing provided this nugget: “My clue was in the title. Try misspelling Bastille.”

Historically speaking, On July 24th, 1683 - 1st settlers from Germany to US, leave aboard Concord.

Chuck Yeager won't be happy to hear this...264 years before he broke the sound barrier.

I was thinking the time was 9:30 AM Eastern... I was thinking, "Why would it be that early?"

Glad it isn't. Glad it's after I get home from work as well.

German speaking country, not Germany necessarily.

Switzerland is a German speaking country.

Gotta admit, I had to fact check you on that one.

Official LANGUAGES of Switzerland: German, French, Romansh, Italian

Still a valid point. Anyone know if the B&M guys speak German primarily?

Weather dog says its going to be a great day to visit the park tomorrow.

As well as Italian and French, which makes going to the movies than an interesting experience with all 3 languages subtitled into the flick with all speech done in English (or so I am told b one person's experience).

Just got off Voyage. There are footers on both sides of Voyage's second drop. I haven't seen that reported before. I couldn't get a good look at them though.

Footers seems to be the more common term for them, so therefore as far as I'm concerned both words are correct. Language evolves over time. See "sneak peak" (which I hate, but is slowly becoming the standard anyway). Footers may soon do the same.

Sadly, most people could care less about correctly using the language.

yes, most people could indeed care less, which would imply that most people do at least care some.

Interesting interview with VP Eric Snow in this Holiblog: http://www.holidayworld.com/holiblog/2014/07/24/wishing/

  • $22,000,000 investment
  • "We're answering the call to our guests that have been requesting something like this for many, many years"
  • "It includes a lot of steel"

I'll be otherwise occupied at 9:30 tonight, but you can bet that I'll be online as soon as I get home to find out what it is! Tonight is just filled with exciting news for me, both HW's announcement and the other thing I'll be doing!

I guess I'm going to be suckered in and say this thing is a B&M Wing Coaster based on the clues. Who knows. Longest in the world, perhaps, with a splashdown utilizing Pilgrim's Plunge/Giraffica's area?

Mack water coaster is my guess. I haven't followed along with this as much as some of you have.
