  • The thing I like most about this coaster is probably something many haven't noticed or may have overlooked. It has nothing to do with the track, trains, elements, launch etc. It has everything to do

A few observations- 1. LSM launch 2. Like the interaction it has with the launch and first inversion around the area and then has a part that finishes with a terrain section, nice. 3. I'm surprise

Truly did anyone expect Holiday World to spend $22 Million? That is twice as much as any capital expenditure in the past. The potential reopening of an SLC will not be much competition next year. B

I suspect a B&M family sized coaster. Dive Machine....I don't necessarily think so, however one in this market would be cool.

Well, the obvious clues begin on Day 60...

"...we STEEL ourselves for what lies ahead..."

Then again, by now, a steel coaster is pretty clearly what is coming...

In a lot of Paula's posts, there are mentions of staying below. She also uses the word weave at least once. Perhaps she is referring to going through tunnels, and about the ride weaving around and about itself?

Maybe It is a ride like Farenheit at Hershey Park. They have hinted at a dive, flip, and a drop, and that is similar to what the layout of Farenheit is. But it could be anything.

Staying below....hmmm........an invert?

Day 66: "Where are the stars that have guided us for so long? Extinguished by this endless storm. I fear we have at last lost our way."

Extinguished...water element. I'm starting to lean towards a dive coaster too.

I'm not ruling out a steel coaster, but don't you think this blog could be a deception? She talks a lot about steel...

I think the footers all point to a steel coaster though, don't they? The photos I've seen look just like Banshee's footers.

I think it's a steel coaster.

Wouldn't a smarter blog post have simply been:

"My dad said we would never add a steel coaster. We've always kept his promise..."

Then what? You're STILL keeping his promise? You've kept his promise until now?

That would have been more intriguing. Of course, this is coming from someone with as much knowledge of this project as most of you.

Could it possibly be a B&M launched coaster? B&M has never designed a launch in-house (the launch on IOA's Hulk came from a third party), but they did say not too long ago that they would be willing to do so if asked.

I hope that if B&M builds their own launched coaster, its launch isn't as tiresome as the one on Hulk.

Haha tiresome! I see what you did there!

Just because it'll be the world's first doesn't rule out a Dive Machine. Think of an Invert Dive Machine. Or Wing Rider Dive Machine. How about a Stand-Up Dive Machine? Or a launched one. The possibilities are endless.

Hmm. The forums say that I liked this post, yet I do not remember clicking the like button. And logically, given my experience on ShieKra, there is no reason why I would want to like that post. Unfortunately, the forums do not permit unliking a post after you've left the page.

I agree with Terpy.

Day 62: "My hands tremble as I write. The crew whispers that we are hundreds of miles off course. Will we ever see the New World?"

I have nothing for this one.

According to the Evansville newspaper, by way of the HoliWood Nights group on Facebook, this is a $22 million project. That's nearly two and a half times their previous largest investment ($9M for Mammoth). It's also definitely in the "major steel coaster" range.

Again, I'm thinking a B&M launcher. That will continue to be my guess until I see hints that strongly suggest otherwise, or the announcement itself. Which there's about an 80% chance right now that I'm going to be there for it.

I sometimes click the "Like this" button by accident. That's probably what happened.

The forums do permit the action, but you must alter your theme into mobile mode first.

Thanks! I thought it was a "feature" of the boards, because even Tapatalk does not allow you to unlike posts after changing pages. I didn't know that you could do it in the mobile web skin.
