Big Coasters In Future?

Featured Replies

I think that I'll keep Fight of Fear. I love that thing to death. Can we do The Vortex for The Bat trade, though? Then we would have a stand-up.

I take it you haven't ridden Carowinds' Vortex.

At this point, I'd rather see several more family-friendly flat rides at the park than any new coaster. Coasters are nice, but there's more to a park than coasters.

Or, leave Vortex standing and build a Mack or Gerstlauer looper in any of the numerous acres of land owned by the park that have not yet been used. Why does everyone want to tear down a popular, reli

I think Kings Island has one of the most solid coaster lineups in the world. I would even argue that we have a better lineup than Cedar Point (I really, truly do not understand the hype around that pa

What is so bad about it? I don't understand all the stand-up hate. I think they are rather cool. The Riddler's Revenge is one of my favorite coasters.

It's an early B&M stand-up. Second only to Iron Wolf (now Apocolypse), it's rough, has terrible transitions and is a head banger deluxe. It has very little in common with Riddler's Revenge.

I offered that we take Vortex from Carowinds... :D

In all honesty, it's the only B&M stand-up I've genuinely enjoyed. Maybe I wasn't in the right mood for it, but Georgia Scorcher--typically one of enthusiasts' favorite B&M stand-ups--did little to nothing for me. But hey, I also really like Boss... (Have I mentioned that yet? ;) )

There are bad coasters. Let us start with The Roller Coaster At New York New York Casino. Then, there's Ninja at Six Flags Over Georgia. T2 at Kentucky Kingdom, all Zamperla Flyers...

But still, you would want them in your backyard. There is no such thing as a bad coaster, as long as you don't get injured on it.

I'll gladly take a BBW clone

That could go many ways now after typing this I realize that haha

What? A BB What now?

I like Mean Streak.

Last time I rode it, it felt like someone had taken a jackhammer to my lower spine.

Well the last time I rode it, I was 10. Mean Streak, I mean. (NOT Millennium Forceless) When I ride it, the first drop feels like my spine is compressing, so why is it forceless?

Because Bizarro at Six Flags New England it is not. Millennium's fast. It has a beautiful setting (though Bizarro has it beat even there).

Nothing beats clear moonless calm lake rides in a cool quiet breeze

Well except for a cloudless moon lit night that's warm and trimless on Maggie..some of my favorite moments in life were there

Mean Streak....

I rode late may, and I rather enjoyed it. I found it very painful back in 2010, but this year although anticipating some pain.. I really enjoyed the coaster and it was an aggressive fun that didn't make it over to my classification of "too rough"

When did you ride it at 3 am?

At 3 AM, of course. Duh.

Terp, who said that once already.

Day, month, and year? :)
