That is one ride that should be updated and built into the woods. I loved that ride so much!! Great Picture!!

I love the way Rivertown looks here! Too bad it couldn't have stayed like this. I do like Diamondback though.

The Epic Awesomeness of the Year award goes to TOPGUN1993!

Oh, my gosh! The joy your clear, high-quality pics bring is impossible to describe! Thanks for posting these!

I know I'm beating a dead horse but this ride needs to be back at Kings Island. I have so many friends who miss this ride and feel it was what help make Kings Island when we were kids.

A reproduction of Kenton's Cove would be great for Rivertown. The only problem is that it was built by Arrow, which is now defunct, unless S&S power still manufactures these rides.

KCKC was among my favorites in KI's ride lineup. I miss that ride probably more than any other defunct ride. I always considered it a thrill ride in many ways. And I find it difficult to describe how cool it was, but when I do I use a lot of hand gestures and sound effects ;) "It would skid across the pond below, just like a jet ski SWISH!…it was so cool…you had to be there!"

For me, this ride was the perfect transition from kiddie ride to "grown up" ride. I can remember riding Kings Mills Log Flume and thinking "hey that other one is just like this only taller. I want to give it a try".

I think I already posted this... Bonus pics tonight.

That picture just looks so 90s. I can practically hear "Hit me baby one more time..." playing. I kinda doubt those guys were listening to Britney Spears at the time but hey it's possible.

amazing pictures as always...how long did the hiking trail last at KI? I never knew there was one there.

It opened in 1973, and I'm 90% sure it ceased operation for Beast construction.

That is all ;)

Thank you! I have absolutely LOVED this tread. Growing up, I was the youngest of 7 kids, with parents who didn't make much money, so we were lucky to get to go once a year. It was a three hour drive to K.I.; we left home around 6am in the '63 Chevy Bel Air station wagon, and had to leave before the fireworks so my dad could wake up for work. This brings back so many great memories to those times!

Those were fantastic. I like how the posts were like the 10pm fireworks--one at a time, then a bunch all at once. :D

Thanks!

Thank you for the amazing walk back through time!

I was excited to catch a glimpse of Skylab in one of the photos. I have very clear memories of riding it in 1995, with two of my best friends. I sat in my friend Stacey's lap, and our friend Lyndsay sat in the front half of the gondola. It was the first ride I ever rode that went upside down and sort of got me over my fear of "big" rides. I rode Racer, my first adult roller coaster, later that day.

I've never been able to clearly remember where it was in the park, other than somewhere on the north half. This places exactly where it is and fills in that hole for me! Because of the very fond memories I have of Skylab, Enterprise rides remain one of my favorite flat rides to this day. :)
