I chose today to announce the name change to coincide with the date the original Bat was announced in 1980.

  • I was bored, so, here is my render.

  • You got your answer quick! Official Press release! FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

I was wondering if that's why dark gray was chosen over black- less chalking, plus it may disappear into the woods more than black, making the orange track look more like it's floating.

Baynum Painting posted some great new pics of The Bat to their blog today.

The color scheme looks better and better every day. Hurry, April, hurry!

Looks like the crew is back to painting The Bat today!

The Bat's webcam photo was taken from Kings Island's website. Check it out here: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/online-fun/webcams

Edit: Compare the photo from this morning to this one. Lot of progress has been made today!

Also, if you look at the Bansheecam, it looks like most of the off-camera turnaround is done, so the ride is coming along very quickly.

The turnaround is almost done being painted people up there now on it..looks great with the Sun hitting it too

Dude, the turnaround is not even close to being touched from what I can see on The Bat cam and the Banshee cam.

Yes the one above the station, they knocked ALOT of that out today, they were only halfway up it when I saw it first thing, end of the day, completed. I have pics will post later

I'm at Kings Auto mall with Aaron. Depending on what time we get out of here, I may talk him into driving by the park to see Banshee. Not stopping, just driving by, before I get all the people reminding me about not stopping on park property, etc...

It looks like the track is completely painted and the supports probably will be finished tomorrow. According to The Bat Cam.

Looks like a totally different ride. It reminds me a lot of when it opened in 1993 when it was bright red. I can't wait to see it in person in about 3 1/2 weeks. It's hard to believe really that the park opens just 3 weeks from Friday, I really believe this off season went fast!

Someone in Banshee Construction Progress said rust.

Those rails have to be replaced from time to time. Just routine maintenance. I just hope they don't forget and accidentally send a train, that would be bad!
