Worst roller coaster you've ever ridden.

Featured Replies

Out of all the roller coaster you've rode in your life, which is the worst you've been on?

Mine is the Mean Streak at Cedar Point. It's too rough.

Mantis by far. I don't experience the "guy problem" or the headbanging, but it hurts my legs and it makes me nauseated. Standups are the only coasters that I truly hate.

The Texas Cyclone with Morgan trains was far and away the worst wooden roller coaster I've ridden. Worst steel would be Drachen Fire.

Mean streak has gotten tolerable actually. I give it usually one to two chances per year, this year it wasn't bad, still just only tolerable, not thrilling, but it is tolerable.

Worst for me is probably going to be Mantis...I love the ride, layout, and standup, but the restraint comes close to my head and I can't avoid hitting the side of the OTSR in the final inversions. First half before MCBR is nice, love it, but that end makes me have to sit out of riding rides for a little bit. No leg pain or anything though...

Son of Beast with the loop. Now I will say this, SOB was an awesome ride but that ride would beat you up bad! I went on it for the first time in 2005, and my back was in pain for weeks. I enjoyed the ride when the loop was removed and the new trains were added.

Vortex, Corkscrew, and Blue Streak are on top of my list as well.

I agree with Mantis as well. I have not been on that ride in 2 years, I always get a major headache after. I avoid it as much as possible.

Drachen Fire. While horribly painful it holds a found memory in my heart. 12 marathon rides and I thought I had a concussion afterwards.

I've only ever ridden the best coasters, so this qualifies as the "worst of the best" in my opinion: Flight of Fear. I mean it's a cool concept, and the launch is fun (to watch), but not being able to see where I'm going is something I'm not much of a fan of, so I've never been able to enjoy the experience. It's one I've ridden so that I could say I rode it. One time. 2004. That is all.

SOB. Hurts just thinking about riding it with the loop. A close second is Vortex. Even in 5-1.

SoB w/ the loop. I'm glad I got to experience it, but afterwards I felt like I was on the losing end of a boxing match.

I don't believe I've ever ridden a coaster that was truly bad, but there are a couple that were boring. Those would be ShieKra and GateSleeper.

I loved Son of Beast and am glad i got to ride it with the loop and without the loop! It was my first coaster with an inversion way back in in 2000! I would say my least favorite coaster would probably be....Mean Streak at Cedar Point. It is just plain boring to me.

The Roller Coaster At New York New York Casino. Truly terrible, looks so wonderful. Isn't.

Runner Up: Ninja. Six Flags Over Georgia. Not even close to the worst, but far worse than the rest I've ridden.

Time Warp at Canada's Wonderland immediately comes to mind. It was extremely uncomfortable and, quite honestly, it felt like a death trap.

If we're talking about most disappointing coaster, I'm gonna say Maverick. It just doesn't do anything for me except give me neck pain.

And when I was there the Roller Coaster was $25 a ride. Togo or not Togo...

Voyage and SOB. My last ride on the Voyage I had a bruise on my back.

Wild Beast at Canada's Wonderland.

I found it to be incredibly rough, shaky and just overally a terrible ride. I knew just by going up the lift there was going to be a bad ride ahead.

And to top it all off...my poor cousin had her "chest pieces" pop out of her shirt because it was that bad...

Thankful for her, there was no camera to take a shot of that... :P

Diamondback at Frontier City, hands down.

That would be Diamond Back.

Diamondback is at Kings Island.

Did you also try it hands up? :)

You're such the handyman ;)

I was not impressed with Maverick either. When they stopped the light show, this coaster really lost its charm.
